I held up a picture of a home improvement magazine and Mario replied, "I will make yours look even better." Mario told us exactly what he was going to do and why it was necessary and was very straightforward as to the labor intensive nature of the work (particularly plastering and sanding). We handed over our apartment keys in the early morning and left for a few hours. When we returned all our furniture had been properly covered in plastic and the guys were scraping away. His crew was well groomed and everyone came across very professional and courteous. Two days later the apartment looked like new. Finally, our bathroom and kitchen was re-caulked and Mario and his crew mopped our hardwood floors, vacuumed our area rugs, cleaned our windows and mirrors and dusted all the bookshelves and furniture. Aside from the beautiful work they performed the non-intrusive manner in which they operated was what made this job the most pleasant home improvement project I have ever engaged in!

We called the number on Angie's List and chose him from several options. After giving us an estimate, Mario came the next day with a large crew and were finished in a day and a half. They did excellent work with fine detail and careful attention. They cared about the quality of the work more than the money - they worked from their heart. They are excellent - highly recommended and the best quality painting we have ever had in the three homes we have owned.

After calling for an estimate, Mario Vega scheduled an estimate the very next day and was both friendly and professional as he took down notes on the work to be done. He quoted me a price, including all the paint and labor, and made sure that I had no more questions on what was going to be done. We called in and scheduled an appointment for later in the week. Of course, the next morning we realized that we had a scheduling conflict. I called and they were very accommodating in rescheduling. The day of the work, the crew (four guys) arrived within the time they said they would (7:30am to 8:00am) and started work immediately. Mauricio, the head painter, took time to talk with me and make sure they knew everything that needed to be done and what colors went where. They moved all the furniture (except electronics, which I moved), covered them in drop cloths and began prepping the walls. They taped the trim and sanded down any rough spots on the wall, applied two coats of paint and even handled all the details like the painting of faceplates and vents. I spent the day in the house and all of the guys were very accommodating in letting me move around, even to the point that I almost felt bad for interrupting their excellent work. When it was all done, they returned all the furniture to their places and vacuumed up any dust from the sanding. There was no spilled paint, no drips, no smears, and no uneven patches. They were all finished and out the door by 3:00pm. Throughout the whole process, every one of them were efficient and professional about their job. We love the result and we can't find anything negative to say about the whole experience.

This review is long overdue--Solution came to our house in May shortly after we moved. We were able to arrange an estimate the day after we called (a Friday), and then painting started on Monday and took two days. The service and results were outstanding. Solution sanded and spackled where necessary to give a beautiful finished look. The basement walls, which are 1950's wood paneling, were caulked in the seams, primed, and painted. What an amazing surprise to come home from work the first day and find the upstairs entirely done and the basement nearly finished! Solution also went above and beyond--though not included in the estimate or payment, Solution re-caulked and painted a downstairs bathroom that we "novices" had done.

Excellent. They had between 4-5 guys on site and did the work in one day. Overall the quality was superior and we were very pleased with the results. Before their departure, I walked around and pointed out a few imperfections which they promptly fixed. They did leave several streaks of paint on our skylight which we didn't notice until the next day, but it was easy enough to scrape off. There was a mistake in the color, but this was caught before any painting had begun and with a Duron store near by, it was a quick fix. We would absolutely use them again!!!

Excellent. The workmanship is superb. This was a huge job. Previous paint jobs were not well done. The exterior of my house in particular required a lot of scraping and replacement of rotted boards. Mario's crew did a very thorough job prepping. I was amazed at how carefully they worked. Mario also was accommodating to my schedule by starting and completing the interior painting very quickly. The exterior painting dragged on for several weeks, however. That was not a problem for me since I was most concerned about getting the interior done.

Outstanding. Came very quickly. They were very prompt and they showed up on time. They were very professional. We haven't decided on which company to go with.

They did a fantastic job. Mario matched the bathroom paint perfectly to what was the original color. His team was punctual and worked all day long on both apartments. Nadia was always responsive when I called to make the appointment for the estimate, appointment for work and for getting a copy of the license and insurance for my condo building. Mario took me through the steps of what would need to be worked on and how. It's very labor intensive and he gave me a fantastic price. I went through 4 other contractors before finding him. I'd hire them again and would definitely refer them.

It was fabulous! A crew of 8 arrived the first morning right on time and were up on ladders before I even finished my walk-through with the wonderful supervisor. We felt comfortable with them right away. The house had been painted by pick-up painters for years, and really needed a lot of prep work and care, which they gave it. They completed the exterior in 3 days, giving us time to plan a room-by-room evacuation. We moved the small stuff and they moved the big stuff. We knew in advance which rooms had to be emptied and when we could get back in. The finished job is wonderful, the result of their careful planning, on-the-job supervision and professional painters. We couldn't be happier.

Excellent. Mario and his team arrived when promised and finished when estimated. They answered our questions, made suggestions and recommendations, and made changes we requested on the fly. We are planning to hire Mario for the remaining two jobs (exterior painting, main floor painting). Note on price: $45 higher than estimated because we asked Mario to use a Restoration Hardware color we liked that was not available from Duron. They did a great job. We enjoyed working with Mario and Nadia. They are very professional and responsive. We are pleased with the way the job turned out and plan to hire them again in the future.

They started and finished on time. We are very happy with the work they did. There were no surprises. The supervisors and the workers were all very professional.

Timely and professional work, very neatly done. Front door repair (was sticky to open/close) and painting done by owner at not additional charge.

This is the second time I have used Solution Painting, and their work has been outstanding each time. These are not your average painters. They sand every surface and carefully repair any surface defects before even starting to paint. They cover everything in plastic to protect from the dust (which there is more of because they do such extensive sanding). Solution uses a large crew (6 for this fairly small job) and start early (7:30 a.m.). They make every effort to complete a job in one day, staying late if necessary. Their crew leader and Mario carefully inspect the finished work with the owner to ensure everything is perfect before they leave.

We had a really great experience with Solution Painting. They returned my call right away and set up an estimate within a week of my call. Mario came out to do the estimate. He arrived on time, was mild-mannered, did not attempt and hard selling, and was very specific about what would be done. They scheduled out the job to accommodate my schedule, and they started the job on the day scheduled. The job took 3 days, and each morning the crew arrived on time and left without leaving a mess behind. As for qualify, they did an amazing job of prepping the surfaces to be painted, and their effort really shows beautifully. They were very careful when painting. No paint splatters on the deck, brick, patio, etc., and the dividers in the windows are done very nicely. I have not seen such attention to detail in other contractors that we have used in the past. We are extremely pleased, and will use Solution Painting for any painting jobs in the future.

Nadia responded promptly, every time. Mario came to the house and left an estimate on the spot (other contractors took days or weeks to send their estimate). Solution's estimate was 2nd lowest, and he was the most responsive. I sent a detailed work order. Workers were very friendly and responsive. They did some excellent painting, interior and exterior, thorough prep and careful. The only reservation is that a couple of times, I found that they seemed to have rushed through several of the minor repairs to rotted wood, which were a bit incomplete or sloppy and had to be redone. But they immediately acknowledged such problems, quickly corrected them, and in the end did a very good job. In one case, they did an extra repair I hadn't even ordered. In the final inspection, I noticed additional small items needing touch up, which is typical, which they quickly and very cheerfully took care of. The bottom line: You need to provide a detailed work order, be alert and conduct inspections, but in the end Mario is going to do whatever it takes to make sure that you are satisfied.

From the estimate to the finish job this team was always prompt, professional and polite. They arrived each morning at 7:30 am and started stripping every bit of paint off the house. All the storm windows and doors were removed. The house was prepped, primed, caulked and painted with the greatest of care with the best grade of paint. They were as efficient and precise as a fine tuned clock. They never stopped until 6:00 pm and only took a break for lunch. They were extremely neat and took great care. Every evening they cleaned up. They also cleaned the gutters and washed the windows. This was an unbelievable job and I highly recommend them.

Mario and his co-workers were prompt, professional and most importantly provided quality work. They were thorough and overall did a great job painting our living room and front door. We will definitely use them again for future projects.

I was getting an estimate for a large interior paint job as well as an extensive exterior job. Mario came very quickly to give the estimate and was including all of the details, no matter how small, in the estimate. As we were walking around the house he noticed the deck needed to be stained and I asked him to include that in a separate estimate. While waiting for other estimates I decided to have Mario do the deck since he said he could fit it in before my husband returned from his deployment what a nice surprise for his return. Mario didn t get it done before my husband got back due to scheduling issues and the weather, which was fine. However, the problem was the end result. There were puddles of stain and worse, the stain covered the plants on both sides as well as the siding on the house. When I contacted Mario to ask for the siding to be cleaned, the plants were not the issue, he claimed I was lying because the stain was hand painted; the stain on the siding was from previous stain jobs, not his. I asked him if he had seen the work because the stain was on the plants as well as the siding. He said he had seen it and the job was fine. He mentioned how well his $10,000 job was going and working on a $300 job was difficult to schedule because he wasn t really making any money on the effort. I told him to stick to the $10,000 jobs because this was not his forte. Of course, there was no way I would hire him for a large job if he couldn t do the small job. He argued his side for 10 minutes, especially when I mentioned I would put this on Angie s List, but I respectfully requested he send the bill so we could be done with him. His wife called me back shortly thereafter and offered to look at the deck. When she saw how bad the job was, she mentioned how stressed Mario had been and the person they had on the deck job was a part of his stress. She apologized over and over and promised to clean the siding. She offered to replace the plants but I declined. She got someone to the deck within a week and removed the stain from the siding. She said they would not charge us for the staining and apologized again. I would not recommend Solution Painting for small household jobs even though they didn't charge us for the deck.

I was very impressed because they were very efficient. He had a crew of about 9 guys working. The house looks gorgeous. I got three estimates and the prices were very similar. I chose them because I have a gutter company that comes regularly to clean my gutters and I was looking for them on the List. While I was looking I saw Solution and asked if they would be able to fix my flashing. I checked to see if they would be able to do this and they called me back to say they would do it and only charge me for the material, but didn't end up charging. They cleaned up well. They swept out my garage. I told them I may have them do some painting inside. They were definitely good and I would use them again.

Mario personally provided the quote and then performed some of the work. What was most impressive was how quickly they completed the job, particularly given some inclement weather. Their receptionist was also pleasant and easy to work with regarding scheduling the proposal visit and then the actual painting. The crew on-site work full days and were very pleasant. They were also competitive on cost among the 4 companies who bid on the work. Mario was also good about offering suggestions prior to starting the work. We have done a bunch of work to the house in the last year. Kitchen renovation, roof, painting, landscaping, etc. Of the work performed to date by a variety of contractors(all very good)this project was the best value.

Solutions was very resonably priced for the amount of work done. They arrived at 730 am to paint the foyer. Once they started the foreman asked if we needed anything else done. I replied that I would really like the ceiling done in the family room and kitchen done. He quoted me a price I could not refuse. While they painted the foyer I went to the paint store and purchased the white paint so they could do the ceiling.

Mr. Vega was one of five people that I had come to my home and estimate the cost. Some told me that they couldn't/wouldn't remove the gutters (too hard, may get damaged, etc.). Some told me that they would only prime certain areas, scrape "where needed," etc. In short, until I spoke with Mr. Vega, I was getting discouraged that I could get the kind of job done that I wanted done. He came and gave me a price for the work that was quite competitive. He then said to me, "To really do this right, we should remove all the old layers of paint that are all bumpy and get it down to bare wood so that we can put a really first class finish on your home." This almost doubled the price, but he was confident that he could remove and rehang the gutters as well as do a first class job. I told him, after thinking about it, that I wanted to go that way and had him come back out so we could go over everything that I expected him to do. He agreed, we met again, and I signed the contract. On the day he was to start, a crew of about eight guys showed up and they were very professional. They "burned off" and scraped off all of the old paint, sanded where necessary, did a great job caulking, cleaned up at the end of each day (it took four days) and were just very agreeable to doing a top job. Mr. Vega stopped by on several occasions to inspect the ongoing work, and it was clear that he was as concerned with doing a great job as I was in getting a great job! It rained on one day, so they did not work. Mr. Vega called that evening and advised me that in light of their having taken the job down to bare wood, it would be best to wait a day and ensure that it was dried out. I agreed, and thanked him for not trying to "rush" the job. Cutting to the end, on the final day as they were finishing up, Mr. Vega and I walked around the whole house and I found very little that wasn't "perfect." In fact, there was only one small spot that needed a bit of work which Mr. Vega got right on. They finished the job, reinstalled all of the guttering (even using extra nails that I provided to ensure that the gutters were up firmly) and then I noticed that they had also wiped down and painted the gutters so that they looked great! Not in the contract, but shows "pride" in their work. In short, I would hire (and will, in fact, hire to do the inside of my home) this company again. Very impressive!

The work took a little longer than expected because some priming and mud work took time to dry. The workers did exceptional work paying very close attention to details. They protected our furniture well, but expect to spend some time or money removing dust from the house after work is complete. Overall they did an outstanding job at a very good price.
