Excellent. We were very happy with the result. The porch looks brand new. The carpentry work was excellent. Very professional. The price was right too. Mario Vega, the business owner and the person who does all the bids, was very professional and is interested in making his customers happy. We will definitely call them again for future painting needs.

Mario and his crew were excellent. They are very efficient and do quality work. Mario was also helpful about working within our schedule. We did have one minor issue with a wrong paint color (which was promptly fixed). My suggestion would be to make sure that you write down all of the paint colors for each room and specify both the paint color and the number of the paint color so that there is no confusion.

It went great. This is really a perfect company.

We asked Mario to paint the concrete blocks and brick work in the basement to lighten the whole area and make it look more finished. In addition, he painted a section of the office wall where the sponge-painted surface had broken and he touched up several areas where either owner (that would be me) error or subsequent work had left unpainted surfaces. In addition to this new work, Mario re-painted the bathroom walls because his crew had used a flat paint instead of the correct low-gloss paint we had requested. He did this at his cost. We very much appreciated his responsiveness and his willingness to make things right.

Mario and the Solution Painting team were great. Mario's colleague Nadia was excellent about following up to schedule the job, and they were incredibly flexible as to the timing, and to mode of payment. They showed up exactly on time, on the scheduled day, with an army of painters who launched into the job. By the time we let them in and filled our coffee mugs for the commute, they were already sanding and painting! When we returned that night, everything had been put back and the house actually seemed cleaner than when we'd left it. Would absolutely recommend using Mario's team for interior or exterior work.

I am a skeptic. I really trust no one. I am a retired Marine so I look at this with a very discerning eye. So engaging a company that I found on the Internet was a stretch for me. Bottom Line Up Front - These folks were amazing. They were professional, prompt, polite, and the quality of their work was absolutely exceptional. They finished ahead of schedule and their price was exceptionally competitive. They also through in the cleaning of my gutters and washing our windows for free. I was prepared to paint the house myself, but the price was so exceptional, I couldn't afford not to have Solution Painting Inc. do the work. Enough said, if your skeptical, I understand, but if you want a quality company, then these folks will give you a superb job for a good price.

I called for an estimate, and Mario came by a couple days later. He did the estimate in about 15-20 minutes. He did a very enthusiastic job selling his company, and encouraged me to review his ratings on Angie's list. I thought his estimate was pretty reasonable and I did join Angie's list to review his ratings. Once I did that, I did not even get a second estimate. I called and scheduled the work for about 2-3 weeks later. The house really needed painting and there was lots of prep work to fill holes, and smooth surfaces. Solutions Painting did a fabulous job. The crew arrived on time at 7:30 am and finished that same day by about 8:30. Original time estimate was 2-3 days, but I was very happy they could finish so quickly. I am very happy with the quality of the work, attention to detail was evident both in the work and in the clean-up. Everything looks great!

Mario showed up on time for the estimate and did a great job asking what exactly we wanted done. The job was done exactly as we had asked and the best part was all the little extra things Solutions did such as: removing all door bells and alarm boxes near the front door, sanding, refinishing and staining our front door which had years of paint damage on it, sanding and refurbishing the front door molding, which had been damaged and now looks fantastic, etc. The job took a half day longer than Mario had estimated, but that didn't surprise us since he did the WHOLE house! I would recommend Mario and Solutions Painting to anyone.

Overall went very well. Mario showed up on time for the estimate. Quoted a price that was less than half of another Angie's List painter who was also highly rated. Solution Painting had so many good reviews that I went ahead and scheduled the job. Crew of 8 showed up on time and started work immediately. Art(uro) was the crew leader, spoke excellent English and translated to the mostly Hispanic painters. Work was complex as we had 5 different paint colors, both flat and semi-gloss, so for example, we had the back wall of the living room done in a darker shade than the rest of the room and hall, but had the windows trimmed in white with doors an baseboards trimmed in the darker shade Semi-gloss used for the same for the one wall in the living room. Used a spreadsheet to convey the info. Art did a great job of co-ordinating all of this. The crew put down a lot of drop cloths and plastic. In fact the kitchen looked like a bio-hazard done. You had to keep on top of the painters, though Art to make sure areas were not missed. The job supposed to take 2 days, but they finished in one long 12 hour day. Mario stopped by and I asked for quote for painting the front door, and he threw it in for free. I had the paint. The final result was amazing. Update as of May 28, 2009: After the previously described paint job, we had new flooring and carpeting installed. Never considered the fact that the new carpet was Berber and had lower pile than the old. This left a 1/8-3/8 inch gap around the baseboards-a couple of hundred feet worth. Mario showed up at 8 am, grumbled a bit about the job, and he and a another painter knocked it out in an hour. I guess he thought it would take a lot longer. Plus he touched up a few places from last week. Looks great and solved the problem. He did not even want to charge me, but I paid him anyway.

This was an excellent job, practically pain-free (except for the days we spent packing up books and preparing the rooms for Mario's crew). The job took only two days, thanks to the number of men Mario was able to bring, instead of the projected 4-5 days. The crew removed old wallpaper in the kitchen, dining room and bathroom, scraped, sanded, repaired, and painted. Outstanding work. A couple of drips here and there, but nothing serious.

He seemed very good, and I am confident that he would do excellent work. They returned my calls promptly, and although their prices are a little higher, I think I would be happy going with them.

Called and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. The representative showed up right on time and gave me an estimate that was in the range that I had expected. I decided to engage them, based mostly on the ratings from Angie's List. They showed up on the morning that we had agreed upon right on time, did the work and left. They offered to come back and finish some minor things after other contractors were done. And they did an excellent job.

From the initial price quote to the end of the job, Mario seemed to pay a lot of attention to the details of the job. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the work. If I ever have to get anything painted again, I will go straight to him.

I'd been trying to finish this painting job myself but is just wasn't getting done. I contacted several painters through Angie's List, and two came for estimates. Mario Vega was awesome: he understood what needed to be done, told me how it would be done (and how they would keep the house clean), and was concerned about his position on Angie's List (why not?). Although he was slightly more expensive than the other bid, I had a better feeling about Mario and his team. Nadia contacted us to set up the date, and she was very accommodating when we had to change the dates. The team came right on time (there were about 6 of them), and first set up drop cloths and plastic to keep the rest of the house clean, and they went to town. I had to pick up the stain at the local paint store (my fault for not having picked out a color beforehand--schedule derailed by a funeral), which gave me their discount, and the paint store guy said that Mario and Solutions were a great company. Most of the work was done on the first day; two guys showed up the following day to do the some follow-up work, and one guy showed up for a bit on the 3rd day to do a final coat of poly on the banister. I paid by credit card with Nadia. These folks were incredibly professional; the job was perfect; they were pleasant and helpful, and wanted to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction. They even put a special kind of paint on surfaces that would get a lot of wear. No stray splatters; no drips; it's beautiful. It was, and I'm trying to think of other projects for these folks to do. Fantastic!

Fantastic experience. When we first met Mario, we knew instantly that he was honest and trustworthy. His estimate was several thousand less than others we had contacted. He is very punctual and showed up early for the appointment. From the minute he walked in the house, he began to develop a "master plan" for painting our home. He pointed out cracks that were unaware of and he explained how he would address each of them. We provided Mario's assistant with the paint colors a few days before they were scheduled to come, and Mario was kind enough to bring some samples on the day of the job, as we could not decide between two colors. On the day of the job, he came with 16 others, and they began to tackle the house. They moved all of the furniture and they returned everything (literally) to where it belonged. The paint job and the repairs were all completed in one day. THey returned the next morning to do one more coat in a room we painted a dark color. Overall, we had a FANTASTIC experience with Solution Painting - they were quick, and did a fantastic job.

Very well done. A few glitches, but they were resolved to our satisfaction. They are careful not to get paint on other areas.

I received a notice from my HOA that my fascia boards needed "maintenance", which meant they needed to be painted. I looked on Angie's List and a called 3 painting companies for estimates on painting the fascia. I left a message on Solution Painting's voice mail, and I received a return call the same day. I told the receptionist what I needed done, and I made an appointment for an estimate was within a few days. I was given a 1 hour window (which was convenient for me). Mario arrived within the 1 hour window, and we went outside so I could tell him what I needed done. He gave me a very reasonable quote, and he also offered to paint my outdoor stair railing because it was getting rusty. I told him that I only needed the fascia painted because that was the only thing the HOA pointed out, and I had a limited budget since I recently purchased the townhouse. Mario made the point that he wanted his paint job to look good, and to the leave the railing undone would not be a good reflection on his company and his quality of work. He only charged me for the paint and not the labor to paint the railing. He asked me what color I wanted to use, and I told him that my HOA did not have a specific color that needed to be used, I just needed to color match what I currently have. The previous owners did not leave any extra exterior paint, so I didn't have anything to color match. Mario asked if he could go into the back yard, to take a sample paint chip from an inconspicuous spot on the back of the townhouse because he wanted to color match the paint. I told him sure, and that's what he did. I agreed to Mario's proposal the same day, and contacted the office to schedule and appointment to have the work done. I was able to have the work done the very next day in the morning. I was told that I did not have to be at home for them to perform the work. I told the receptionist that I would leave a check under the doormat, and they could pick it up before they left the job. I got home that afternoon, and I immediately looked at the paint job. The quality of work on the fascia and the railing was fantastic!! There was no mess, or paint drops, trash or anything. They even left me the leftover paint for future use. Out of the 3 estimates I received, Solution Painting was the least expensive (1/2 the price of the most expensive quote). Mario did not try to get me to add-on additional work (which one company suggested I do). He was very professional, honest and fair. I appreciate the fact that he did not try to nickel and dime me (I hate to admit that I have sometimes found this to be the case as a female). I am very happy with my overall experience with Solution Painting, and I will most definitely use them again.

Overall, the work finish product is excellent. The crew came, worked, and finished swiftly in two days. I got three estimates and Solution Painting price is in the middle of the other two companies. Solution Painting did the same work as the high bid, but for half the price.

The entire job took two days. This was the second of three projects we have asked Mario Vega to do for us, and we are considering a fourth. We walked through the job with Mario a few days before the crew started; one of us was at the house while the crew was there. They showed up as promised and worked steadily both days. After powerwashing the siding, the crew removed the doors and hardware before scraping and prepping, and reinstalled everything exactly the way it was before. We had only a couple of questions, all of which the crew leader answered readily. An excellent job. Note: the final cost was a little above the estimate because we asked the crew to do some extra work.

Marios Vega came over at the appointed time to give me an estimate. It is obvious from the first that he has a great attention to detail and that he has high standards. The original scope of work was just for the living room and dining room, however, upon talking to him, I asked that he give me a quote for adding in the kitchen and bathroom, and also for replacing the fixtures in the bathroom with ones I would supply. Out of the quotes I received for the work I chose to go with Solution Painting not because they were the cheapest (nor the most expensive -- one quote was for double the amount!) but because I believed they would do the best job. We scheduled the work to begin within a few days (I had told Mario that we needed the work to be done before we moved in the house which at that point was 2 weeks away) and they were done within 4 days! The place looks amazing now -- while the walls are not completely smooth (its a 1920s house with plaster walls - that would be impossible!) its 100% better than what they started with. And I can look up at my ceilings without cringing! Although I wasn't living in the house at the time the work was being done, I stopped by every day. Mario's crew were professional, circumspect, and did a lovely job. I highly recommend them all!

Mr Vega's crew were punctual and goal oriented. Everything which was contracted,was completed. The quality of work is amazing and price was very fair,given the huge interior job.

Solutions did an excellent job in all areas. The work team arrived on time, members were very professional, and they did a thorough, high-quality job on my project. When I spoke to my vet about having my pets around the oil-based primer that Solutions needed to use for my bathrooms, I had to find last-minute cat boarding. I'd never had oil-based paint or primer used here before & I'd just put cats in home ofc w/open windows when painters used water-based materials in other areas of condo. When the company realized that I was having difficulty, they sent a larger team, completing the job ahead of schedule. Company finished the few minor touch-ups on the next business day with no problems. Everything looks beautiful. I highly recommend Solutions & I loved using Angieslist.

The crew of four was professional and hard working. They arrived on-time each morning and worked hard all day. Each room was a different color paint although we kept the ceiling and trim the same throughout the house. I felt comfortable running errands with them in my home. I also felt comfortable having my three young kids around while they were working in another room. The crew was skilled and efficient and it was nice to see the time they took prepping the area before the actual painting began.

Great! They were busy, so scheduled about 3 weeks out; they showed up with a crew of about 8 workers the day and time scheduled...did the work quickly, efficiently, and neatly. All excellent quality, and (I believe) priced very reasonably.

I met Mario several months ago when I hired him to paint my apartment. I was so impressed by his work that I recommended my employer use him to paint the store on Connecticut Ave that was to undergo a complete renovation. The work commenced and Mario's crew once again blew me away. As the location was open for regular business hours the crew worked quietly, discreetly and diligently to complete the work that was asked of them. Moreover, the renovation was carried out in sections and over a fifteen day period. To this end Mario would send his crew whenever the store needed the work performed and this flexibility he offered was invaluable to the successful store renovation.
