This was our second time hiring Solution Painting in the past two months. We bought a new house earlier this year and had them in to paint the first floor, but held off on the second floor to keep down costs. We should have had them do everything at once--the work was superb, incredibly quick, and extremely professional. Well-worth the price, which was also more reasonable than other estimates. We're having them back in a few weeks for some exterior painting.

Due to issues beyond our control, we did not move into our new home as planned. As a result, we rescheduled our paining dates, several times. These guys were very understanding and began painting on a Saturday, ONE DAY after I called to schedule them to come out. They even worked on the Sunday so we could move into our home on Monday. The paint job itself is amazing. My father recently visited and told me it was a "ten thousand dollar paint job". I give this company my highest possible recommendation. A majority of our neighbors have not painted their homes because they were quoted very high prices. They love what we have done and I hope they use Solution for all their painting needs.
Description of Work: Mario came out and provided us with an estimate to paint 4 floors of our brand new town home (minus ceilings and doors) for $3,600. He also quoted us $900 to finish the drywall in our garage and paint it with an exterior paint. He and his crew completed both of these projects with amazing quality. They were extremely clean and polite while in our new home as well.

The guy was horrible and nasty. He was rude and being a female, I was glad when my roommate came home because I was afraid of him being in the house. He was very in my face, nasty and talked down to me. He was completely unprofessional. He picked up his phone and was swearing at someone in Spanish. He was saying really nasty things on the phone while he was giving me a quote. It was awful. He did arrive on time.

I am waiting for them to finish painting the closet doors. They show up and keep us informed if they are going to be late. Their work is not extremely professional. We have to usually call them back because they wouldn?t have done everything properly. I have to bring them back because they would?ve forgotten to do a simple thing like painting around a glass part of a door. Some of their work is great, but some are not. I wouldn?t use them if I had a choice.

Excellent job done faster than estimated (more workers than originally planned, I think), on short notice. From time of initial call for estimate to job-done was 5 days! This is the second time I've had them do a paint job & both have been on short notice, well done, with cheerful careful workers. They cleaned up well at the end and moved back things they'd had to move (things I couldn't do myself). I did not get a range of quotes for this job but it seems a good price (based on a job done years ago) and it was excellent work done well and promptly. I would certainly call them again if I can ever get another area cleared out enough to get painted.

Outstanding attention to detail and outstanding overall performance Mario and his #2 supervised thoroughly. Performed beyond expectations. Best interior paint job we have experienced. Happily worked long days to finish early and ahead of original schedule. Best of the best. Would recommend above all others. And have. Provided an honest and straight forward estimate and delivered superior results.
Description of Work: Prepped and painted interior of 1600 sq. ft. condo. Two coats of premium paint on all surfaces including overhead. Repaired all drywall discrepancies. Moved and covered all furniture. Taped and secured all perimeters. Cleaned up daily and departed with the interior spaces clean and orderly.
Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my choice of Solution Painting. Mario (the owner) responded promptly to my request for an estimate. It was clear from the beginning that he aimed to do high quality work. Because the scope of work was so extensive, he insisted repeatedly that everything and anything would be done to ensure that I would be happy with the work. His focus was on outcome - that is, the walls will be smooth, the doors will be sanded, the ceiling will be fixed - rather than counting exactly how many doors he would sand or walls he would skim. On that note, his was the only estimate of the three I received (all within about $500 by the way) to include skim coating (smoothing) the entire rooms that had damaged walls/ceilings, rather than just the most damaged areas. Mario was able to start the day after I selected his bid. He had told me to expect a 4-5 day job, but with his full crew of 15-20 painters they finished in 2.5 days. I dropped by a few times during the work, and it was stunning. It was as though I had walked into a restoration of the Sistine Chapel, with painters everywhere hard at work on their small area, and Mario moving through the site and directing tasks like an orchestra conductor. The painters themselves were all very polite and seemed serious about their work. When the work was done, Mario showed me around what he was done, and then told me to make a list of any remaining problems areas or areas that might have been missed. The issues were generally quite minor given the extent of the work - things like touching up the radiators, removing a few drips of paint from ceramic tile, etc. I emailed the touch up list and did not hear back for a week, however it was the Christmas holiday and they were apparently out of the office. Shortly thereafter, Nadia contacted me, and Mario returned with two men, who spent about half a day doing touch up work, addressing all the issues that I noticed as well as few other minor details that Mario picked up on. As part of this additional work, they also removed an old shower rod and repaired and repainted the plaster wall - even though I could not recall whether doing so was within the original scope of work. Mario insisted it was no problem, and did the work without charge and with no hassle or fuss. Bottom line - so long as Mario keeps up his emphasis on high quality work, customer satisfaction, and competitive pricing, I would recommend the company to anyone for any paint job.
Description of Work: Paint every surface on two floors - 3 bedrooms, 2 bath, LR/DR, den, sun room, hall, stairway (all rooms except kitchen) - including ceilings, trim, radiator, closets Remove/sand/replace multiple doors Skim coat to smooth multiple rough/damaged walls and ceilings Caulk/paint joints between stairs and wall Remove old bathroom hardware with repair/repainting of plaster wall

We are return customers!! We knew this company would do a thorough job as they had done when they painted two bathrooms 2 years ago. I had an immediate response to my phone call. Mario came out and gave me a fair estimate. I was impressed with his eye for detail and appreciated him pointing out cracks in the ceiling and trim which needed repair. The crew arrived promptly the next day. They started at 8 am. By 5 pm, my walls were repaired, the foyer, basement and master bedroom were painted (two coats!) both walls and ceiling, and they had cleaned up after themselves. Amazing! I was impressed with their professionalism and would use them again. I highly recommend this company.

I hired Mario because of the good reviews on Angie's list. His estimate was a little lower than another I had gotten. 6 workers arrived on time and got right to work. Mario said they would finish that day. But, late in the day they still had a lot to do and I felt they were rushing and doing a bad job. I noticed someone painting over what I knew to be rotten wood. We had agreed that rotten wood would be replaced. I pointed it out to Mario. He looked at it and insisted it wasn't rotten. He even took a tool handle and pounded the wood to show me it was solid. But, he didn't hit the part that was rotten. I asked him to do so and when he did it was obvious there was a problem. But, he still insisted the wood wasn't rotten. I told him I thought it should be replaced. He asked me if I expected him to build me a whole house. He said they don't do that kind of work. Huh? After they left I looked up their listing. They advertise that they do carpentry work. Then I took a screwdriver and dug into the rotten wood. The next day the board was replaced and painted. The same thing happened with a staircase, only this time it was potentially dangerous. The stairs were bolted to a wooden board, which was also rotting. I saw that they had cut a small square over the bracket that holds up the stairs. They we going to replace one small square that showed and leave the rest rotting. I told them the board had to be replaced. The next day they took the stairs apart and replaced the board. Once they were gone, we saw more rotten wood that trimmed the roof. We had to call and have them come back. After 3 days the job was done. The stress was not worth the few $ we saved. I liked Mario and trusted him. But, I'm not paying someone $2,000 to paint over rotten wood. Bottom line, if you want the job done right without having to act as the project manager, hire someone else.

I chose Solution Painting because I was impressed with the professionalism of Mr. Vega during the walk through (for the estimate) and because of the positive reviews the company had received on Angie?s List. However, my impression changed significantly when the work started. Mr. Vega was rude to me from the time he arrived at the start of the job. He made very clear he was unhappy that one of the rooms (dining room) would not be accessible at the start (it was accessible by the end of the first day) - even though we had alotted 3 days for the job. (Note: our kitchen remodel was slightly behind schedule and the appliances were still in the dining room.) When he spoke to me, Mr. Vega was curt and dismissive. He even rolled his eyes at me several times when I answered his questions. Mr. Vega made clear from the start of the job that he had two priorities - finishing as quickly as possible and getting a good rating on Angie's list (He mentioned this several times). While I appreciate efficiency, speed should not come at the expense of customer service. Mr. Vega came with 8-10 guys and constantly pushed them to go faster. There was such a rush to get the job done, little time was spent making sure it was done as we wanted it. The crew was too large for the house, which made it difficult to keep track of the work that was going on. For example, the team disassembled our brand new bed - without asking permission. I did not discover this until after they had taken the bed apart. To make matters worse, when they put it back together at the end of the job, they left out two screws. My husband and I discovered this late at night - and had to remove the bedding and mattress to put the screws back where they belonged. (It is a king size bed and not easy to do.) If we hadn?t, it is very likely the bed?s center supports would have been damaged. The bed should not have been taken apart without my express permission and should have been put back together exactly as it was found. (Note: The bed was the only piece of furniture in the room. They could have covered it and worked around it, but did not want to.) T would rate the overall quality of the work as ok/acceptable. It was not as meticulous as I was led to believe it would be. (For example, during the walkthrough Mr. Vega noted that because we planned to paint the dining room red, it might require more than 3 coats to get the color correct. He made it sound like they would assess and consider this as they did the job. However, on the day of the painting, no thought was given to this. They painted 2 coats, period.) The team did do a nice job of patching the walls (as specified in the quote), and an ok job sanding. They did a hurried, slipshod job on the trim (as this was done at the end of the day.) On a positive note - aside from Mr. Vega, the members of the team were very courteous. I also appreciate that work began punctually. I provided this feedback directly to Solution Painting by email. I did not receive any response to my comments.

I called Solution based on the recommendations on Angie's List. Mario came out to my house right away, looked over the space, and gave me the estimate. Two days later, his team was on the job. They provided all the necessary supplies. I did a walk through with the painter, and pointed out a few minor imperfections, which he cheerfully corrected. He did a beautiful job and finished early.

We are experienced home owners and have hired 7-8+ paint companies in this area over the decades. Solutions painting is in a league by itself. Their price is not the cheapest, but they are worth it. Mario, the owner, is a perfectionist. He runs a very tight ship, with conscientious, polite, punctual workers. He is honest and fair, and takes personal pride in his company's work. Mario was either on site or checking on the work regularly, and his team all seemed to be professionals reflecting his high standards. Solutions painting completely stripped the outside of our 1940's colonial house. Much of the woodwork had been painted over dozens of times (long before we bought it), and Solutions took off ALL the old paint. The preparation took much longer than the painting. For example, there was some rotten wood on our back porch and a couple of windows, and they carefully replaced it. Shutters, gutters, railings, doors, fascia, downspouts, deck, fence--all done with attention to detail. We've had it painted before but it has never looked this good! Solutions painting are the best. Period.

All my walls were primed because I made a drastic color change, and there is a chair rail around the perimeter of the Living and Dining Rooms, so I have a lighter color above the Rails and a darker color below. All the other walls without rails were painted the lighter color. Because I'm in a high-rise condo, we have work restriction hours and Mario's 3-man crew stuck faithfully to the hours. Any paint drips on the floor were immediately removed. They moved the majority of my furniture out onto the balcony, and brought it in before they left because it's not allowed to remain outside overnight. They gave great attention to detail.. Mario stopped in twice to check. I was so pleased with all the assistance they gave me because I have a bad left rotator cuff, and am still recovering from cracking all my left ribs in September, so I had to push my work back. They worked from 0800 to 1730 Monday and Tuesday and 0800 to 1130 Wednesday, They put every piece of furniture back to its original location and the team leader did a final inspection. I was so pleased with their work, I gave each of the 3 men a $75 tip. Would recommend Mario and his staff very highly, and would use them again in a heartbeat. I would enclose a photo, but am still putting away china and crystal which has been boxed for 2 years while our balconies were renovated, repaved, and new railings put on. If I am able to add photos, once everything is back to where it should be, I will try to send a photo. Thank you Nadia, Mario, and the team you sent me.
Description of Work: Had my entry hall, living room, dining room, kitchen, bedrooms corridor, bathroom ceilings and interior doors, louvered linen closet door and air handler doors, bedroom exterior doors painted. Nadia set-us up an appointment with Mario on a Saturday. Within a couple days, the entire house has been power washed and painted. The crew did a very good job of taking off fixtures, repairing rotten boards, and protecting our unpainted surfaces (they didn't take short cuts). What few spots that were missed were remedied by a touch-up crew the next day. Mario is a no-nonsense kind of guy and takes his work seriously. Mario and his crew were early! He and his crew of painters worked non-stop to get the job done. They were very accommodating, extremely professional, and did an excellent job. And, believe me, I'm picky! When I added a small pantry to be painted at the last minute, Mario didn't charge me extra. There were no messes for me to clean up. Solutions Painting Inc did an excellent job on painting the exterior of our house. It had not been painted for many years and needed extensive prep work to remove layers of old peeling paint and some rotting wood on soffits and windows. They worked very efficiently, effectively and professionally. They used high quality materials and paid attention to detail. They consistently attempted to ensure that we were pleased with the job they did. They also painted a wood shed and wrought iron railing. I am very pleased with all aspects of their work and would hire them again. It was a good experience from start to finish.

HIRE THESE GUYS! This is the kind of company we all hope to find using Angie's List. I don't have enough good things to say about them -- honestly, I don't have enough good things to say about them. In sum: 1.) They are perfectionist. At one point during the day the owner found me and asked if it would be OK if he painted a section of the porch we had not initially included in the quote. He said, "I won't charge you to paint it but I want to include it otherwise the work isn't going to look as good and I don't hink you will be happy." I agreed and he was true to his word -- and it looked spectacular. 2.) They amount of work we hired them to do was substantial. I thought it would take 3 or 4 days. They showed up with a crew of about 8 guys and were done in a day! They returned the next day just to do touch-ups -- the crew decided the railing and front door needed another coat and finished within a few hours. The entire job looked perfect. The owner was on site all day supervising and working with his team. 3.) With so many workers here, I expected the day to be long and draining. to the contrary, each member of the team was polite, neat, and quiet. If it weren't for the smell of paint I wouldn't have known they were here. 4.) My place was spotless when they left. You will have an outstanding experience with this company -- don't even consider anyone else.
Description of Work: Interior: Repaired dry wall after plumming repair and repainted walls. Exterior: Stripped and repainted entire front porch (large) and side porch, as well as external house trim, our doors (front and back), and all railings.

Our house was built in the 30?s. We have dormers and a large front porch with pillars. The crew from Solution Painting came out to scrape and paint the dormers as well as the front porch for us. Dormers are windows which are pointed out from the roof line and we usually see them in ancient houses. They are also called gable dormer windows and it got the name from the house of seven gables. There are seven gable windows across the front portion of the house. They also painted a bedroom as well as the windows in that bedroom. They completely stripped our kitchen door and then painted it so that we could have shutters put on it. I felt that the price that I paid for the kitchen door was a bit crazy, but I then felt that it was okay, as they had to strip it. We had used their services a couple of years ago to paint another room in our house. They were terrific. I had to wait for them to come to our house, as they were really busy. They had just painted a whole house by stripping the paint for the entire house. I didn?t hire anybody else, as I know the kind of work that they do. Something that I really liked about them was that they sent a team of 5 people to my house and they were really good. They came on a Friday and finished the work on Monday. The team works for them and they are not people who are just picked up from the corner.
Description of Work: We used the services of Solution Painting about a couple of weeks ago for interior as well as exterior painting.
