Mario and his crew are outstanding! You know from the first few minutes after they start work that they take their work very seriously and want to give you a first class job. They take special care with everything they touch and spend lots of time preparing any areas for painting. They are polite and very considerate of whatever is happening in the house and of any special requests. They tackled a difficult carpentry job without a second thought and it looks perfect. We are very picky and were extremely happy with Solution. I am already concocting my next job. P.s. Prices can't be beat for this level of quality.

Mario came and gave a realistic estimate, started and ended on time, and made sure the project went smoothly. His guys were responsive and responsible.

Cheerfully delivered the best estimate we received for the entire job. They showed up on time, spent one day prepping the house which included removing downspouts and power washing and then spent the next day painting the exterior, reinstalling downspouts and installing new shutters.

They are not the cheapest, but they did an excellent job painting everything I asked. They also do more than just one coat, which a few places said they would do for cheaper. They even painted my mailbox, which I plan to replace but it looks a lot nice now. My only complaint is that they are not very responsive. I had to call a couple of times to repeat the services I needed done and to schedule an appointment. They also neglected to call me on the day of because they had to cancel do to confusion (the painters thought I needed interior work as well) and because of weather (which they can't control). But I did talk to the owner, Mario each time and he reassured me the work would be done. The important thing is that my house looks a lot better.

Went very well. Solution Painting offered us the best price out of the other Angie List companies we consulted.The two men that came to our house were prompt, courteous, and professional. They worked straight through the day to complete the project. Turned out great! Very happy with results.

If there is such a thing as a perfect contractor, Solution Painting certainly qualifies. Estimates are fair, and they stick to their price, even though they performed a lot of little extras. They show up exactly on time, and work without supervision until they are finished. The quality of their work is unapproachable by any other painters I have used. If you ask them to touch up a spot, they spread the drop cloth, prep and paint the entire wall or molding piece. They want everything to match so there are no splotches. I looked very closely for imperfections and there were none. They clean up very well and respect your household items. The first thing they do when they come inside is take off their shoes and start covering everything with plastic. Drop cloths cover every square inch of your floor. I stopped watching them after about an hour - not necessary. They talk very little among themselves, other than business. About halfway through the project, I asked Mario if he wanted any money. He said, "No. Not until you are happy - deliriously happy." And so now I am. If every contractor was like Solution Painting, life would be so pleasant!

Mario impressed me when he came out to give an estimate. I could tell that he really cared about taking care of the walls and trim, and that he knew his stuff. His dedication to a job well done shone through even early on. He left a proposal. I called later to ask about modifications, and those were fine too. However, since we were still deciding about exactly what to do with the room, we did not return the contract. When the appointment day we'd discussed arrived, so did the painters -- and we were not prepared! What could have been a disaster was easily solved by Mario, who said, "my word is my contract," (which impressed me, and which I was able to accommodate) and the painters, who were good enough to help our family move things out of the room quickly so they could get started. The work was done quickly but with extreme care and professionalism; there's not a drop out of place. We are so pleased with our "new" living room and thank Solution Painters for a job well done! We recommend them!

The crew arrived at the arranged time and reviewed what needed to be done. I also requested if the woodwork around the front door could also be included in the painting which was stated to be no problem. They worked efficiently doing a great job removing the "unwanted junk" from the aluminum siding as well as from the windows/surrounding area. They were very complete with cleaning the outside of the windows even including the inside sills. The few repairs that needed to be done were performed carefully as was the removal and replacement of the drain pipes for the corner work. Painting was done well after their care with the scraping of old paint and priming. All work was finished with great results....a very clean outside of the house as well as painted wood without chipped paint/cracked wood present. All the crew was very courteous, cleaned up after themselves and took great pride in their work. Mario and his crew did quality work and we would certainly hire them in the future.

Mario is extremely responsive and exhibits tremendous interest in completing projects successfully, and leaving a satisfied client. His price was not the lowest (I solicited 3 bids, and Mario's was in the middle), but I selected him because of warm reviews on this list, and because he was available to start within a couple days. The work was completed in jig time (3.5 days) and the quality is excellent. I am pleased with the surface preparation, and with the razor-sharp lines between the trim and the base color. The special painting on the fancy decorative brickwork is cleanly done as well. No drips, smudges, mistakes. The work was mostly done while I was away at work, so I hardly saw the workmen, but they were sensitive to my home and landscape. The job site was left clean each day. The doorframe rebuild also looks great. I downgraded for "professionalism" slightly, only because I don't like the contract form that Mario uses--there's not much meat in the agreement, and when I asked about a written warranty or guarantee, Mario was not able to give me anything but oral assurances that I would be happy (which was true). But I felt a little nervous signing that agreement which seemed to offer no protections in the event of a dispute, and only because he had so many great reviews did I stick my neck out, cross my fingers and trust that it would turn out OK.

Mario is a true professional. His attenion to detail and quality, as well as our needs, was excellent. He arrived on time and had a large crew that worked in parallel, removing the wallpaper while painting started in the foyer and upper hallway. They prep'ed all areas very thoroughly and cleaned up each evening. They completed the entire job in 3 days and the results are outstanding. We are extremely satisfied!

Very good experience. Mario and his painters arrived promptly at 7:30 am. He brought a large number of painters with him and they were able to do the entire place in one day. Not a hurried job, either. Very well done. There was one snag where a shower curtain was left touching a freshly painted surface and the dried paint was later removed when the shower curtain was moved. I let them know and they sent someout out to fix the problem in a couple of days. My only suggestion would be that they take a little more care in handling some of the items around the house when they need to move them. But overall I am very pleased and would recommend this company.

My experience with Solution Painting was very positive. I called 5/11/2010 in the evening and arranged to meet Mario the next morning for an estimate. He arrived early and it was very quick to get the estimate. We agreed to have the master bedroom painted the next day, 5/13/2010. The crew arrived Thurs on time and started work right away. There were 3-4 people throughout the day and it took them until around 3 in the afternoon to finish. Everything was very clean and tidy when they were done. They covered my flooring completely and I didn't find any paint anywhere it wasn't supposed to be :) They put drop cloths down the hallway as well to prevent my floors from getting dirty. And most importantly, the paint job looks good! I think we could have shopped around for a lower price, but he did a good job and we got it done the day after contacting them which was important to us.

Mario and his crew of 6 painted my new home walls and ceilings. My partner and I had heard about Solution Painting from other Capitol Quarter residents who had used them previously and were very satisfied. I agree 100%. Did not solicit for other bids. They arrived when they said they would at 7:30 on Thursday April 22. I had given my list of 17 colors to Mario who picked them up including all of the supplies, and they started to work right away, putting down the plastic and drop cloths all over the house and on my banisters on my stairways. I requested to have the job completed in one day, but due to the walls requiring three coats of paint for some of my dark colors, it took another half day. I needed to have this all completed before my window treatment people arrived on Friday afternoon April 23rd. I wanted everything done before my move on April 24th. Mario and Ezekial were excellent as was everyone else. They truly did a superb job and took very good care of my new home and were amazed at our color choices. While ceilings were not something they did daily, they did an excellent job especially since every room was a different color on the walls and ceiling. I have had friends and neighbors stop by and everyone was very impressed and amazed at the detail work and how sharp the edges and corners were. They all wanted to know who did this excellent work. Even some of the builder people who came to my home for some repair work were impressed. Mario has since painted my neighbor two doors down and I gave my next door neighbor Mario's card so he can have his home painted as well. Am very happy and cannot say enough good things about Mario and everyone of his crew. They worked 12 hours on the Thursday and 7 1/2 hours on the Friday. Everything was painted and cleaned up. They took off the light switch plates, light covers and taped all around the windows and base boards. Mario's was the lowest bid and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Five to seven painters were here for as much as 12 hours x 4 days. The advice on paint type and colors was very good. The cleanup was thorough. The whole team was very patient with the need to work around us since we were here the entire time. Everything was moved out of the rooms and back into them with care. Mario is very aware of the importance of an A rating on Angie's List and he worked hard to maintain his great record.

Great experience. Guys came on time, performed all the tasks we asked for, and did a great job overall. Would highly recommend.

They complete the entire job in one long day. The crew worked really hard, and did a fantastic job. They prepped the walls very well, and did everything possible to minimize the mess. This is the second time I used them, and have been very happy both times.

I got three estimates, all from companies on Angie's List. Mario's estimate while more than I had planned to spend, was the lowest by nearly $200. I was under a time crunch, and he said he could have his people start the next day. Sure enough, the next afternoon, my place was half- finished! Mario's crew took off every single light plate, pulled every recessed light from the ceiling, taped off all the trim, and covered every square inch of my hardwood floors with both plastic and a drop cloth. In addition to that, there were no brush strokes or streaks on the walls, and the colors I chose were perfectly matched, even though the crew used a different brand of paint that the one that I got swatches for. All in all, I had a very positive experience with Solution Painting and even though it was more than I originally wanted to spend, it was worth every penny. If you hire him, the job will get done right, on time, and with no hassles.

The two men from Solution Painting were 30 minutes early, arriving at 7:30 a.m. They were polite and professional and it took them until about 1 p.m. to complete the work (they took an hour for lunch). The spackling job they did was the best I have ever had done on my walls. They cleaned up the house afterward where they had worked, and they cleaned the yard where they had been cutting wood and drywall. They had the lowest price of three estimates that I received to do the work.

Crew showed up promptly the day after I called. They have a large crew so everything was done and cleaned up in one day. Quality of the work was excellent. They made a real effort to protect carpeting and did a good cleanup job. This was the second time I have used Solution Painting and they lived up to my expectations.

They did a really nice job. I spent around $1500. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Perfection, and I did call and change my paint from Duron to Benjamin Moore "Aura" that was so praised on the internet. Cost extra. Worth it. Mario did not balk at the paint change.

They quoted us a little over $1000. I found them on the list and if I do in fact go ahead and replace the windows, I likely will use them. My interaction with them was good and the person that came out was here on time. He took a look at my house and gave me a quote right there and real fast.

overall the experience was excellent. Mario's estimate was comparable to others we received and he conveys confidence and expertise in explaining the work he will do and answering questions. Having usually painted interiors myself in the past, it was clear Mario knew what he was doing and that his team would do thorough work. The end result did not disappoint in this regard. The painting crew showed up early (but not too early) and got promptly to work. They completed the job in only 2 days and had 5 guys working both days. They were polite, made sure to protect the floors and other areas that would not be painted, moved a good deal of furniture before starting (and put it all back in place, including cords, rugs, etc), and cleaned up very well before they finished the second day. I was also impressed with the care they went to leave some screws/nailed in place that I asked them to in order to rehang pictures and coat racks. The work quality was top notch, done quickly and at a good price. They did accidentally break one of the blades on a ceiling fan in the living room the first day, which they let me know about immediately and apologized. Mario offered to knock off $100 for that when we settled up - far more than the actual damage. This is a great company. They will be my first call when I need additional work done.

The experience was very good. They had the same level of professionalism as the other company I had got a quote from. I just haven't decided with whom I am going with.
