Mario Vega, the owner, came out to give us the estimate. He walked through the entire job from start to finish and recommended a product best suited for our needs. When he scheduled his crew they arrived promptly, worked quickly, cleaned up after themselves. The work is exactly as promised. Importantly, Mario corrected my thought on the type of paint to use and steered us towards a specific paint type best for outdoor decks. His price was also the most competitive. We are very pleased with the results.

Mario and his team provided high-quality painting services. Mario himself responded quickly to our request for an estimate, and then had a team onsite for us within the week. The work was completely quickly, with high standards for prep, painting, and clean up. Not only were the services provided excellent, the pricing was competitive.

We'd solicited bids from four vendors (all high on Angie's List) with the work on the front of the building, rear, iron work and porch quoted as separate jobs by each vendor. Solution's bid was very competitive but not the lowest. When all of the vendors were asked for a BAFO, assuming that the whole job would be awarded to a single vendor, Mario responded with a final price that made Solution the lowest overall bidder and was awarded the work. I'm happy to say that I am extremely impressed by the quality of the work and professionalism exhibited. They arrived on schedule with a crew of four and left the area clean at the end of the day. They even used ladders to go between different levels minimizing the need to go through peoples' apartments. The job took about two weeks including a number of rainy days when they couldn't work. To make up for the weather delays they worked two weekends without being asked. They were fast, efficient and did an excellent job. The work was done for the price quoted with a few hundred added (with my pre-approval) to repair some rotted wood trim. I would recommend them to anyone.

There service is outstanding. The pricing was reasonable. The work was done in a timely fashion. They did superior work.

I was in a hurry to paint my new home so I could move in. Mario fit me in and came the next day to do an estimate. He had a 6-man crew arrive at my home the following morning and the work was completed the same day! The crew did an outstanding job of prepping, including sanding, covering with plastic, etc. The work was exceptional with attention to detail. The price was very reasonable and I would definitely hire him again.

I pulled name from Angie's list. Solutions was the highest rating and I can see why. They showed up on time for the estimate (which was fair and value oriented when compared to the others - so I gave them the job on the spot). They showed up exactly when they said they would to start the job and each day after and finished on time. The yard was perfectly clean after each day and the crew could not be nicer. I have managed a lot of contractors in the past and this was a very pleasant experience.

Mario and his crews did extensive preparation and painting, both exterior and interior (almost the full interior of the house), on our Georgetown house. Many of the walls, all original plaster from 1860, had extensive cracks due both to age and recent construction by our neighbor. I usually do my own prep and painting, and am a perfectionist. I am most pleased with Solution Painting and Mario. We chose him after coordinating nine estimates (many more than we typically try to get) due to the large size of the job. Mario's price was very competitive with other companies whose painters are regular employees and not contract crews. Other estimates ranged from unrealistically low to two to three times as much. We added work to the scope of the job several times, with modest additional costs that were consistent with his original estimate. The decision to add an upper floor washer and dryer, and open some wall soffits to run the emergency drain was made after work started -- Mario was able to get the carpentry done very quickly, and did a great job. Finally, Mario was flexible and accommodating in scheduling some extensive touch-up work required after a flooring contractor splashed oil-based varnish on many walls, and the result looks as good as the original work. I enthusiastically recommend Solution Painting, will use them again in the future, and would be pleased to provide a more detailed reference for them at any time! Mario makes every effort to ensure his customers are happy with the work, as it proceeds and prior to finishing.

Mario was great to work with. His price was very reasonable, the work commenced sooner than expected and was completed in 2 days. The painters were very professional and left our yard and home looking beautiful. We are very happy with Solution Painting, we will use them again and we highly recommend them!

I called a couple of companies with A ratings here and Mario was available that same day. I liked the way he described what he could do with what I had and we worked out what was worth doing from a cost/benefit point of view. I liked how he described the different options and what they would cost, and the estimate seemed in line with other reviews I read here so I hired him to do the job. Being the impatient sort that I am, and expecting to have new furniture delivered in the near future, I asked him to please fit me in as quickly as possible. That night he called and said he could have his team over the next day, and they showed up promptly the next morning. The finished work looks great--in fact much better than I expected. Besides the fixes we'd discussed they actually saw gaps in trim and flaws in walls that I hadn't remembered to point out, and they fixed those. The house was left clean and with nothing damaged. Overall a very positive experience for me. The only reason for the "B" in price is that I've never paid anyone to paint before, and it seemed like a lot of money. As I said the price was in line with similar work I'd seen described in other reviews, so I feel it was fair. And, there's no way it would have turned out nearly as well if I'd done it myself.

A great experience. The owner (Mario) came promptly to give me an estimate. The crew showed up on schedule and worked two full days. The work was terrific. Also, early in the job, the crew needed to turn on the outdoor water faucet. It uncovered a leak in the pipe which create some puddling in the house. The crew moved immediately to help me clean up the puddle.

Very favorable. This was the second time we used this company. The first time was for exterior deck and porch. Each time Mario provided thorough work descriptions and a firm written estimate. The crew was timely, prepared the space thoroughly, was respectful of our home, and worked diligently. We are delighted with the results.

Got an estimate and then scheduled work within two weeks. They arrived as scheduled at 8:30 , a crew of three and reviewed work and quickly began. Then a little latter the carpenter came to replace the trim. The carpenter left when the trim was replaced and light installed. The painters worked until after 7:30 and cleaned up. The next day at 7:30 the 3 man crew arrived with 3 additional men. They finished all the work. They covered everything and prepped the walls, removed doors and knobs, shelves, mirrors, medicine cabinet etc. Fixed wall imperfections. They painted trim by hand and sprayed the walls. It looks great. They were done by about 4:00 earlier then predicted and Mario was there for the walk through. They moved some things around for me when they were put back in not exactly the right spot. They cleaned up beautifully everywhere.

contractor arrived on time to install new drywall. The job took longer than I expected but that was due to contractors desire to do the work correctly . I was glad that they did spend the extra time to complete the drywall installation and repair. The painting phase went well except for one issue with the door trim color which was different than what we wanted. I believe part of this was a language issue and part a lack of specific detail in the work order. (In the future more specificity on paint colors would be a recommendation) . However Solutions painting made it right no questions asked and no additional cost. Had this relatively minor issue not occurred I would have rated them excellent in all categories.

Wow! It was an awesome experience! We left for vacation and returned to a perfectly painted home. It was so 'refreshing' to come back to 'new', bright, and happy spaces! We were hesitant to a) spend such a big amount of money on a paint job and b) leave our home to strangers with no ability to monitor progress. It was the best decision we have made in a long list of recent remodeling decisions. Communication was good. All requests exceeded our expectations. We will have Mario and co. come back in a few months to paint the bedroom wing of the home. HIRE THEM!

Mario came out and gave a bid, and the painting crew came out on a Saturday. They were pleasant, and very professional. I would highly recommend this company as this is the second time I have had them out in the past two years and they did an exceptional job both times.

I set up an appointment for Mario (the owner) to provide an estimate. He and his nephew arrived on time and I explained the job, walking around our home to point out exactly what we wanted done. He made several suggestions which we followed. Solutions Painting had over 150 reviews from extremely happy customers, so I thought they might not be interested in our relatively small job or that they might not be able to begin it as soon as we wanted to begin. Mario was eager for the work and gave me his estimate in writing before he left our home. In addition to the work described above, it included painting the exterior window frames and our storm door. When we received our other estimates, we decided to go with Solutions Painting. The crew arrived on time and were very professional. They moved anything in the way and covered anything that couldn't be moved. Everything was to be primed and receive 2 coats of paint. They took the shutters off the house and removed both doors from their hinges. They carefully sanded/scraped all surfaces before priming (the backs and fronts of the shutters) and painting them. Since both doors were off their hinges, they taped a plastic sheet to the front door opening to try to prevent flies, etc. from getting into the house. As they prepped the windows (original to the house), they re-glazed them as needed. They also removed all storm windows and screens and cleaned them so that they sparkled. The crew was very respectful of our property, laying down multiple drop cloths and removing their shoes whenever they came into the house. They carefully taped hardware to avoid getting paint on it . Since they took our doors off the hinges and painted them in the front yard, there was never a risk of splattering paint on our hardwood floors. The entire job took 2 12-hour days. At the end of the first day, they cleaned the work site carefully so we didn't have to worry about knocking anything over, etc. Towards the end of the second day, it seemed as though there was more work still to be done than could be completed that day. I wondered if they'd have to come back a third day or try to cut corners. Their solution was to call in an additional crew to get the job done on time. This crew was just as professional and courteous as the original crew and both groups worked well together. When they were finished, they cleaned everything up. Our house looks wonderful! This company is justifiably proud of their reputation, as demonstrated by the quality and attention to detail that they provide.

I received 3 estimates to paint my 3 bedroom condo. Solution was the same as one other, but could start sooner. I hired them also because of the good grades on Angie's List. Mario was late for the estimate. I gave a C, fair, for overall punctuality because the crew was also late both times. The estimate was quick except for discussion of 2 cracks in the LR/DR ceiling. I got the impression it would be difficult to hide the cracks, and it was. There would be 2 coats on all walls, and the ceilings and closets, trim and baseboard would be done. The contract was not detailed, just the price (I will get everything on the contract next time), but he gave me a price on the spot with a discount. He said he could start the following week, which they did. 11 to 13 crew persons arrived to do the work and immediately started taping and draping. I left, as I live elsewhere. I received a call from someone 10 hours later that they were finished. There was a language difficulty. He wanted me to come right away, I could not. (I honestly expected this to last more than a day). The next day I went to inspect the work. I was extremely upset at the condition of my condo and the complete disarray I found. For some reason, none of the easily movable furniture was in the same place I left it. I found a rattan living room chair and a bedroom chair stacked on the balcony, open to the elements. I wrestled these inside. There was damage to 2 pieces, a lamp scratched and a TV stand with a 3"x4" chunk out of the base. The shoe rack from the bedroom closet was on my sofa. There were rough areas that needed to be redone and one patch was left unpainted. There was a footprint on the carpet by the door, and drips on wood furniture. The ceiling cracks were still visible. The metal clothes rods in the closets had been painted white, which will show scratches from wire/metal hangers. I called Nadia and explained my upset. Mario called back quickly and assured me that everything would be taken care of, and he would meet me the next day at the condo. I never did see him. He sent a 2 man crew. The man in charge said Mario would be by, but he never came. I expected more quality control than this, giving a C for professionalism. They carried the furniture back to the proper rooms, and did the repairs I requested. The paint came up from the carpet and the drips were removed. The ceiling was repainted with bright white paint over the two cracks, dried that way, and looks like it was done with white-out. The crew chief said his people could not have done the damage to my lamp or TV stand. I am still upset about this, and I should probably have asked for something off of the price. I should have insisted on Mario coming to see the disarray, but I guess I learned for future contractors. To be fair - there were 3 patch jobs to drywall/ceiling that were done very well. The paint lines were straight between the ceilings/walls/trim/baseboard. Except for the cracks, the ceiling looked fine. It was a fair/average job, and a learning experience for me.

Incredible, just incredible. There are simply no other words to describe how absolutely EXCELLENT - how truly OUTSTANDING of a job - that Solution Painting did for us. Our extremely high expectations were far exceeded. My wife and I are perfectionists. We are fair but quite critical of contractors. We are not easily impressed. We were beyond impressed with this company. Mario arrived on time for our estimate. The estimate was fair. The workers arrived exactly on time on the date scheduled. The two workers were very polite, very neat and very hard working. They totally removed all hardware and fixtures from the room to be painted. They were very careful with all of the items as they moved them from the room. They taped the trim off. They covered the floors with plastic and taped it off. The painting was meticulous. There was no stray paint on anything. Under EACH of the many, many areas to be touched up they first put down plastic and taped it down. The then did the touch up being very careful not to get stray paint on anything. There was a substantial drywall repair in an electronics closet. They taped the equipment off very, very well. No dust was left on the equipment. At the end of the job they cleaned up, vacumed and replaced everything. Our highest recommendation goes to Solution Painting - you won't be disappointed!

Estimator (owner of company) was right on time, gave me the estimate on the spot and was very, very nice. The estimate was lower than others I had gotten, but I hired the company primarily because of the evident pride he took in his business and the many positive reports from other angie's users. Painters showed up right on time and worked very hard. Project took a little longer than planned, but they came the next day (Saturday) to finish. I was very impressed with the care the team took with my floors, walls, etc. The floors had just been refinished, so I especially appreciated that. It looks so amazingly great - far better than I had imagined. I love showing off the new cabinets!

My wife and I recently bought a townhouse that was built in the mid-80's. The house needed painting and the ceilings were the textured popcorn style. After first playing around with the idea of scraping the ceilings myself, I had the job quoted from multiple individuals. Our original plan was to have someone scrap and resurface the ceilings for us and then to paint the house ourselves. After meeting with Mario, I felt confident that his team would do the best job with our ceilings. He quoted me a competitive price and said he would be able to have the job done in just a couple of days. He also asked me how was going to paint the house. When I told him that my wife and I were going to do it ourselves, he convinced me that that choice may be a mistake. He siad he could have the job done better than we could do it, in much shorter time, and we wouldn't have to buy all of the tools and paint necessary to do it. He quoted us $6000 to resurface all of our ceilings, to paint the house top to bottom (including a repair to the drywall around the electrical box), and paint the kitchen cabinets, and that he could get it all done in 6 days. I then emailed and asked his assistant, Tamy, if I could visit an active job site to see how they worked. They accommodated my request without flinching, and after visiting a home being painted in Fairfax, I was sold on the professionalism, timeframe, and price. We are so pleased with the results! Our house looks fantastic. The ceilings, trim, walls, everything looks great. We even decided to change colors in the master bedroom after the first coat had been applied. When I asked Tamy about it, she didn't make me feel badly about the change at all and they took care of it right away for a minimal charge (200 + 75 for materials). We definitely recommend Solution Painting, Inc. We wouldn't use anybody else for future jobs. Call them. But do realize that because they are good, they are busy, so they may not be able to start your job right away. So call them a couple of weeks in advance.

I thought they did a great jobn and I plan to hire them again.

After experiencing water damage from a bathroom leak, we needed to replace and paint over the leak spots in our dining room. At the same time, we wanted to refresh the paint in our hallways (upstairs and down), including the ceiling and trim. The work was scheduled very conveniently and within about one week. The team showed up on time, did a thorough job of prep (including covering the brick walkway leading to the front door), and the paint work was complete and neat. The company is very professional from first contact to completion of the work.

Mario and his crew descended on our house early in the morning as promised. His crew of about 7 or 8 men quickly moved all furniture, except the sofa and china closet (glass),onto our rear deck and covered everything that remained with plastic including the wall-to-wall carpet .The painting included large expanses of ceiling. The crew, which varied from 5 to 8 men did a beautiful job on all of the painting. They even repainted our dingy white brick fireplace which is now a gleaming white. Incredibly Mario had a man come in and repair two cracks in the ceiling wallboard. The floor molding was beautifully painted without a spilled drop.At about 6 PM the plastic was removed, the furniture replaced and the crew was gone. A beautiful job, efficiently done at an extremely reasonable cost. I would highly recommend this company to anyone !

I have a 30 year old vinyl siding split level house in Arlington. The house has a large amount of wood trim. Mario and his team were excellent, very professional, and courteous. His team was on time each day for the two day job. The team spent the first day removing the 10 year old paint from the wood trim, repairing the wood and paneling that was rotten, primed the wood work, and powered washed the vinyl siding, chimmey, front deck, back deck and patio. The second day the team finished the wood work with two coats, painted the front and back decks, and painted the steel railings and mailbox. The team also removed the paint, repaired the drywall and painted our attached carport. Each day the team cleaned up their work area and the crew chief asked me to inspect each day's progress. If I can get my act together and clean out my house, I will be calling them back to paint the interior!
