Solution was very responsive to our initial call for an estimate, and when we were ready to start work was able to fit us in within a week. We asked for 2 estimates- one just for the ceilings and one that included painting the hallway and a significant amount of trimwork. The hall and trim work alone was $1700, so we decided to only have the ceilings done since there were several holes from old light fixtures and where we recently had electricians install recessed lights. Two other estimates for the same work (ceilings only) came in at $700 and $1700, so this was the middle estimate. The 4-man crew arrived on time and were done with all 3 rooms in 8 hours. One room was drywall, and the other 2 were plaster. The crew sanded and evened out the ceilings, patched the holes and applied 2 coats of paint. There were also 2 holes in the walls that were patched and painted (with our own paint) where electricians had to cut to snake wiring. The ceilings and walls where the work was completed look great! However, the prep and cleanup were not sufficient. There was a thick layer of dust all over the house from all of the sanding. The crews hung plastic sheeting between rooms to minimize the dust, but did not cover furniture in the adjacent areas. Since they used fans in between coats, clearly the plastic sheeting could not contain the dust. I was more concerned with the quality of the paint jobs, so didn't notice how bad the dust settled until they left. As they were leaving, I pointed out a layer of paint/dust on the hallway railings which they briefly wiped off, but after they left i ended up having to clean the entire house, including the rooms where they worked.

It went very well. They were responsive with getting a quote and in providing the service--we had a tenant in the property and they were great at working with me and with the tenant. Rosy, in the office, was particularly great--in coordinating all the specifics. I would recommend them again.

Received an estimate and 10 days later the job was done. The staff was extremely friendly and treated our stuff with care. The place looks brand new! They repaired some drywall and even added a last minute prject of some plantation shutters with no problem.

Great, we needed it done on very short weekend and required the work to be done on a Saturday. They did excellent work!

While doing some work in my attic crawl space, my foot slipped off one of the rafter and just slightly pushed against the drywall. This caused a huge crack that I attempted to fix however I was unsuccessful. The owner came out on a Friday and the men were able to fix it on Sat. They fixed it wonderfully. I can't see anything and they painted the ceiling as well (per my request I supplied the paint). I don't know if they used a new drywall sheet or not but the end result is beautiful.

On the basis of positive comments posted on Angies List I contracted Solution Painting Inc. to paint my finished basement and the cabinets in my ground floor kitchen. When Mario Vega (Owner) came to appraise the job I was very impressed with his professionalism and his stated dedication to quality/customer service. There were several communication problems during the job between me and his crew (I do not speak Spanish), after leaving messages with his receptionists to pass on to him, and leaving messages on his voicemail. There were also major quality control problems. One portion of the job, the basement was done quite well. The other portion, kitchen cabinets was seriously deficient. The crew painted the cabinets and most of the cabinet doors, but did not paint the tops or bottoms of the doors. This may have been because they were waiting for the first coats on the sides of the doors to dry, and could then rest the doors on their sides in order to paint the tops and bottoms. Attempts to contact Mr. Vega or his office to fix the deficiency met with very limited results. I talked to Mario and his receptionist several times, left several messages, and multiple emails, and was still ignored. Finally, the only thing that got their attention was when I told them I was tired of trying to force them to do the work they had been paid for, and their lack of professionalism would be reflected in my online review. I then finished the job myself. Notes to Mr. Vega: 1. Don't make promises you don't intend to honor. You stood with me in my basement on a Saturday afternoon, with your paint crew working all around us, and you assured me that the job would be done by 8 PM that night. The job did not get finished by then. Because only three painters were on the job site, I was told that they would have to return and finish on Sunday. On Sunday, only one painter showed up. One painter wasn't enough to finish the job, but when I called you to ask you to send more men, you said that you had no control over your own workforce and couldn't get more painters to the site. The job was not completed until late Monday, and even then, it wasn't properly done. 2. Follow up on your commitments. The reason I chose you for this job was your reputation and your assurance of quality when I met you. Your reputation did not mention that if there were any problems, I would have to deal with them on my own. I am repainting my cabinet doors and touching up several other problem spots that I've found, and I'm doing it myself, because it's not worth my time to continue to track you down and try to force you to do it.

From the first phone call and in-home estimate to the prompt scheduling and completion of the job, everything went without a glitch. I have already scheduled exterior paint work with Solution Painting for the spring.

The painters arrived on time with a large crew and immediately got to work. They did their best to minimize the noise and dust (we were continuing to work in the rear of the building while the front was being painted.) They worked amazingly quickly, and were immediately responsive when I asked them to sand certain areas where the old paint had built up. They explained the problems involved in getting a good result, and then proceeded to solve the problems. The finished job looks wonderful.

They did a very professional job. Quality workmanship and very polite. They also hung a pendant light in an area that was too high for me to reach.

This is the second time I used Solutions painting and both times the work was done in a professional and timely manner. The crew showed a great deal of detail in prep work and providing a proper painting surface. Both my wife and I are very pleased with their service and will use them again if additional interior painting is needed. Solution Painting did an outstanding job in every respect. They were courteous, professional, and detail-oriented. Their bid was significantly lower than several others received from equally reputable companies, and they offered to power-wash our extensive brick walkways at no additional charge. They started the job exactly when they said they would, and called on the one day they had to arrive late. At times there were as many as nine painters working on the house at once, and the project was finished when promised. The carpentry work they did was excellent as well. I had to call them back for one very minor problem a few weeks later, and they were very cheerful about returning right away to correct it. Overall, a great experience, and I highly recommend the company.

The painters were courteous. They worked hard and efficiently. In addition, they cleaned up after themselves.

I am very picky about drywall and painting and this company surpassed my expectations - they responded quickly, were very professional, on time, worked VERY hard, did an amazing job and made sure that I was happy!!!! Job took 2 days. They did what they promised, but I felt like I got more than they promised.

The crew was wonderful. All the work was done in one day. They were very careful to keep everything clean and covered during the process. It was an excellent job and we intend to use them again in the future. Couldn't have been a better experience right from the start when Mario gave us the estimate and madfe great suggestions. I'd recommend this firm to anyone needing a paint job. Excellent job/experience all around.

About a year after getting the estimate, I finally pulled the trigger to get the work done. Solution Painting honored the estimate and scheduled the start date to be about 2 weeks after I called them. The crew showed up exactly when they said they would the first day, and did as much as they could until rain began later that morning. They were back the next day and completed the work over the next three days (thankfully without rain interference). They said the paint store couldn't color-match my previous deck stain, but the crew asked for my approval on the slightly different stain by doing a section of my deck before proceeding further. The results look great, and the crew was great about cleanup every day and at the completion of the job.

From the 2nd day, everyone was prompt, industrious, courteous, & did a darn fine job paining. They (3-4 guys) moved a lot of furniture & helped the whole process go quickly & smoothly. Great daily clean up too.

To say the least, when ever we need painting and handyman work done on our home, Mario and his crew will be called again. We did not have any problems, and would highly recomment his services.

They were always punctual and professional and the communciation with us was great. They showed up exactly when they said they would for the estimate and also each day for the work. When they discovered some rotted wood that we were not previously aware of, we recieved a phone call to let us know about it. They did everything they said they would do and more. It was great to have a company do everything they were supposed to do without us having to ask about it or remind them. The price appeared to be competitve. We recieved one other estimate that was slightly more expensive than this one. Overall we were very pleased with the work and would highly recommend them. We will hire them again in the future.
