Solution Painting Inc

Solutions Painting Inc. provided an estimate for labor and material for exterior painting. We also required carpentry work to replace rotting wood. Solutions Painting did describe their cost structure for carpentry, but were not able to estimate the amount of carpentry work required. They indicated that once they were on site, they would be able to better estimate the costs and would discuss those costs with me before they proceeded with the work. I was uncomfortable with that approach as the carpentry work could possible be quite extensive. We selected another company to perform the work. We would consider contacting them again.

Work began on schedule each day at 0800 sharp, took a week as Mario (the owner) promised. Each day the painters cleaned everything up and consolidated their tools and supplies. Overall Solution Painting did an excellent job that has impressed us and our neighbors. Paint coverage is perfect, no drips on the adjacent bricks! We were also very satisfied by the carpentry. (Mostly this involved replacing house trim and portions of the fence around the deck; the workmanship was excellent.)

They were great. They have an excellent and large team who gets the job done in a reasonable amount of time and are very neat.

Came on time, worked hard, finished work, cleaned up wall.

I solicited three bids for painting my living room, dining room, and front entry/hallway. Solution Painting came in with the mid-level bid, but right from the start of the visit to develop the estimate, Mario, the owner, impressed me with his professionalism and understanding of what should be done. He made suggestions that would improve the overall results, such as spray painting the popcorn ceiling, which I agreed to. He also told me that since the crew would have to remove the ceiling light fixtures and the dining room chandelier in order to paint, if I wanted to replace those fixtures his crew could install them for me. Mario told me that the job would take two days, and that he would send a crew of 6 so that the work would go as quickly as possible (other companies would send 2-3 painters). They arrived right on time on the appointed day with the paint I ordered, and got right to work. It turned out that they completed the work in one day, which I appreciated. The crew cleaned up well, and helped me reposition some of the rugs and furniture. They installed the new light fixtures, and rehung the living room curtain road and curtains. The only recommendation I have for others is to ask who the job foreman is first thing. A gentleman named William introduced himself and asked me to show him my home before the work started, but didn't say that he was the foreman. If I'd known that he was, I would have been more specific about some of the work that needed to be done, such as painting both sides of doors and the trim around a doorway, even if the room on the "other" side was not being painted. It was so late in the day by the time I did the final inspection that I did not have them go back and paint all the back sides of the trim, only those that bothered me most. The crew were hard workers, and very professional. I was impressed with the quality of the work and the fact that all the work was completed in a single day, thanks to Mario sending 6 people. I would definitely recommend Solution Painting and plan to use them again.

Outstanding and very thorough job. This is a crew that does not cut corners, from extensive preparation and cleaning of the surfaces to be painted to multiple coats of the best oil-based paint. II am confident that the job will last several additional years because of the care and craftsmanship -- this more than justifies the higher-than-average quote. The painting crew was considerate, prompt, and careful to do a total cleanup when they were through. You will not be disappointed if you choose Solution Painting.

Solution Painting was very punctual in the morning. Because it was raining outside, they sent extra guys and completed our entire interior of our house in one day after quoting us two days. They did wonderful work, and I would definitely hire them again.

The crew was prompt, courteous and efficient. They came when agreed and completed the work in the time that they had indicated. We wouldhave them work for us again.

Took 2 days and 3 coats of paint with primer. Looks great! I would hire them again.

Workers showed up on time when promised. Work was performed daily until finished. Balconies were brushed and prepared, primed and painted. The result was very satisfactory.

Mario provided us with a very competitive price for a top quality job. We needed the work done ASAP and they were able to start very quickly. The crew were very friendly and conscientious. They did an excellent job and did not cut any corners. Our house and shed look great.

This was the second time I've used Solution Painting and, as previously, they did a terrific job. Mario squeezed me into a very tight schedule at the last minute, the crew showed up on time and were polite and friendly, and Rosy in the office was wonderful in helping with scheduling. This wasn't an easy room to paint - cathedral ceilings and a new rug, and some large furniture to work around. The final product is absolutely beautiful and I would certainly use them again.

I think they were terrific, they were ontime daily, They worked 8am-6pm, they cleaned up after themselves, They did an excellent prep work, which made the finally product even better, I was very very pleased. I would highly recommened them.

It was great! I easily set up the appointment for an estimate and Mario was prompt and professional from the estimate all the way to the finished product. Rosie in the office was very nice and worked with my schedule. The work was completed quickly and they cleaned up after themselves as well. The whole experience was easier than I anticipated and came in on budget. I was so pleased that my mom is using them for some painting at her house.

We used Solution Painting several years ago and did not hesitate to call them again for our current needs. They do superior work. At a price superior to all others we have every contacted. Every wall, ceiling, woodwork, shutter---everything---is meticulously prepped, primed and painted. All furniture, cabinets and the like are covered in plastic and taped off to keep them clean, unspotted. And they go above and beyond---while they were power washing some of the exterior, they power washed our walkway and landscaping timbers. Looks great! This crew is so neat and clean there is nothing you have to do behind them to have your home back in shape. They leave things better than they found them. Their time estimate was spot on. Of course, for outside work the weather must cooperate. And it did for our job. We have recommended Solution Painting to neighbors and family. All have been totally satisfied with their work and have used this great company again and again.

I can paint a room by myself, but if I'm going to hire someone to do it, I want the rooms painted more accurately and more efficiently than I could do it. The painters from Solution Painting exceeded my expectations in terms of the skill with which they prepared and painted the walls and woodwork, and the efficiency with which they completed the job. As you can see, the painters had many rooms to paint with a great deal of cutting in to attend to, but their strategy for doing so is impressive. The price includes the cost of the paint, so the painters purchase it before they arrive. On the first day of this three-day job, approximately 12 painters arrived to prepare the walls and woodwork on the main floor and foyer where the job is most demanding. They covered the floors of each room to be painted on the main floor with plastic and then put drop cloths on top. They moved all large furniture items to the center of the room and wrapped them in plastic. They sealed off rooms that were not being painted with plastic so that they remained free of the dust generated by spackling and sanding the walls. They removed all switch plates and outlet covers. Next, the painters taped what needed to be taped, and then they began painting the ceilings. When they finish the ceilings, they moved to the walls. Each wall gets two coats of paint. When painters finished their job on the main floor, they went to the basement to do prep work there. At no time did I ever see a painter sitting idly by; they work all the time except for a brief lunch break. Each time the painters complete a room, they vacuum it meticulously and mop the floors where appropriate (wood). They replaced all of the switch plate and outlet covers. This process repeats for the other floors. By the third day, the tasks remaining did not require as many painters, but the foreman was present for all three days. Each time I asked to foreman to address something (which was rare), he did it right away. Before I paid anything, the foreman and I walked through all three floors of the house and noted mistakes. We had only one minor item that needed adjustment, and the foreman tended to it immediately. For a job of this scope, I find that level of accuracy impressive, and I was equally impressed with the consistent level of professionalism demonstrated by the foreman and his team. Mario Vega has a well-trained, hard working, and responsive team to do this work. The next time I need something in my house painted, I will use Solution Painting.

Office staff was polite and efficient in setting up appointment with estimator. Mario Vegas, the owner, arrived on time the next day. Within a forty five minutes the work desired was agreed upon and the estimate completed. After Mario departed I called the office accepted the bid and we scheduled the work for Monday. I later called theoffice with a slight change in the scope of work which was accepted with no hassle. The crew arrived on time and went to work by eight a.m. The crew chief, Eziekial, reviewed the work order with me. Their preparation of all surfaces for painting was outstanding. The crew worked continuously till lunch time when they ate and then took a short siesta. They then worked another six hours. The work was completed beautifully and the cleanup finished in one ten hour work day. We were completely satisfied with everything about the job, and will definitely use Solution Painting again.

Estimate Process: Arrived at scheduled time, actually they were running 10 minutes late and called to tell me they would be there in 9 minutes, they were right on time! The negotiation for the work took about 15 minutes. Mario and Nadia are reasonable business owners, detailing the work to be done and the rationality for the cost. I met with them on a Friday and scheduled the work for the following Monday. Day of Work: On the day of painting, the workers arrived on time. They were tasked with painting two shutters on a townhome and painting the metal railing leading up to the front door. The painters meticulously laid plastic, tarps and taping. They covered all of my bushes along the railing, covered my neighbors shrubs, taped the base of the railings and laid tarp along my walk way and all the steps leading to the home entry. I spell this out because this in itself spoke volumes to their professionalism and pride in their work. When I went out to visit, I was surprised that they had taken the shutters down and were sanding them, (another lengthy job). They primed the shutters before applying the specified paint. The two painters (did not get names) did a detailed job. They had a steady pace but made sure that they did not cut corners or minimize the job, that is a great work ethic! (Very polite individuals). From the estimate to the end of the project, all associates of ?Solution Paint? were professional and aligned with providing great service to their clients. At first, I thought the price was steep but when you experience their work, they are appropriately priced. As Mario expressed to me when we were negotiating the price; ?you can hire someone to paint and they will just apply a coat of paint and be done?. It?s true. I would much prefer to spend a reasonable price for great work: Mario and his team did just that great work and I hope to hire them again!!

Mario Vega and his crew are by far - by far - the most skilled, professional, organized and courteous home maintenance and improvement specialists I have ever hired. I believe their expertise in painting and carpentry is unmatched. The crew began work early Saturday morning, July 19, left around six o'clock that evening and returned for a full day on Monday, July 21. They carefully laid down tarps and were unusually careful as they moved furniture and brought their tools and supplies into the house. I have never seen a crew so organized. It is clear that each man had specific tasks to perform and knew exactly when and how to perform them. Periodically, my wife and I were asked to check on the progress of the work to make sure we were satisfied. It was especially satisfying when they asked us to feel the walls as they lightly sanded the first coat of paint. I have never seen walls prepped and painted with so much care and attention to detail. One would think that new drywall had been installed prior to painting. In addition, members of the crew had suggestions to make the home improvements even better. One example: my wife and I wanted to use our old, painted-over door hinges on the new doors. One of the crew urged us to buy new hinges that would look much better and would match the door knobs. We agreed with his suggestion and ran out to Home Depot and returned with the new hinges, which look so much better than the old ones would have. My point is that Mario and his crew are not just painters and carpenters. They are craftsmen and artisans who take great pride in every aspect of their work and also have terrific taste and judgment. When they finished our bedroom, it was transformed from an unattractive, dated sleeping space into an elegant bedroom. The crew was actually smiling with satisfaction as my wife and I studied the results of their hard work and extensive experience. The powder room was equally impressive. These men have enriched the interior of our home and undoubtedly increased the value of our property, and they did so with great pride and skill. I hope my words have adequately described the high regard in which my wife and I hold Mario and his team - they are truly exceptional.

Very nice work! The team showed up promptly, discussed the scope of work then got right to it. After the wallpaper removal and painting the walls were smooth and blemish free. I was very satisfied.

Other than arriving later than they said they would be there, they did an excellent job. They moved furniture and placed it back as well as were able to paint the whole apartment quickly.

Office was responsive and friendly. Owner showed up on time. As other reviews commented, he was rude and arrogant, and appeared extremely hasty and impatient. Quote was exponentially high and did not even warrant any further discussion. I will not use this company.

Fantastic! Showed up when they said--got right to work after a walk thru to familiarize them with areas being worked on. We bought a house built in 1964 that needs lots of TLC. We were starting with the upstairs except for the kitchen--3 bedrooms, hallway, foyer, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room area. After seeing the quality of the work we asked how much the downstairs would be if we continued on...very reasonable so we added it! The crew is very professional-they work well as a team. Made sure all the prep work was done--floors covered-taping off where needed etc. Literally hand sanded the walls so they would finish beautifully! It looks like a brand new place...they even put up the new light fixture we got for the foyer since it was very tall and we did not have a ladder to get up there! I look forward to hiring them again to do the exterior of the house! Took 3 days and it was well worth it!
