Overall, it was a lot of work for the price. That being said, the quality was lacking. The crew put down plastic sheeting but it did not contain the mess of the project. We have brand new hardwood floors and staircase and I'm still scraping paint spray off of them and the shoe molding. Be aware that they paint the trim using a sprayer and it's a mess and got all over the cut ends of the shoe molding on the floor and won't come off now. Additionally, they tape the plastic sheeting down with masking tape not painters tape and it pulled the finish off the molding in some areas. Moving on to the wall and trim prep....there are numerous spots where I can see the nail pop repairs through the paint (flashing) because it wasn't primed after the spackle was sanded and then other areas that weren't prepped/fixed at all. The job was scheduled for 6 days and they were trying to rush and complete it in 5 days. It resulted in some sloppy painting (thick paint lines) in the kitchen and again lack of proper pre-painting prep. Then with regard to cleanup, each evening the house was not straightened which meant there was trash and screws all over the floor which if stepped on would damage the floors. On the last day after they left we realized two of our blinds had been reinstalled on the wrong windows. On a positive note, the paint lines (cutting) are quite good where the walls meet the ceiling. And Rosy at the office is very friendly and tries to help. But when I told her some specific things we would like fixed after the crew was done they were not addressed adequately. Daniel, the head painter is very nice and worked very long days to get all the work done, but there is a lack of attention to detail.

Excellent quality. Stripped off old paint, made any needed repairs, careful, cleaned up well. Would use again.

bidding process - Mario Vega came to do the inspection. He walked around the house. We discussed everything, in detail which was transferred to his bid. He explained what would happen, described issues. for example he said have someone inspect the roof in one place, it appears there may be a leak, "it will mess up my paint." (turned out it was a gutter issue). He gave me an all inclusive price (including paint) and agreed to start on the day I asked. I learned a great deal from Mario which I used to quiz subsequent estimators. Very few found the issues that Mario discussed with me without prodding from me. In all cases Mario was spot on. actual painting - fantastic, I was met by the project manager, we went around the house with Mario's estimate. the crew went to work and work they did, there was some delay for rain, the painters had good sense to wait a couple extra days for house (north side especially) to dry. I'm delighted with the results. They cleaned up. We did an inspection and they cleaned up the last couple issues. I saved at least several thousand dollars compared to the other estimates, the painters were polite and pleasant. They cleaned up every day after themselves. I received an excellent job, on time, without complaint. These are the painters you want. I'm looking forward to them painting the inside of my house.

The painters were great. They showed up on time and got to work right away. They covered up everything with plastic that needed it and moved a couple of heavier items. We had had a leaky pipe months ago and we were having difficulty trying to match the existing ceiling paint, so we realized we would have to repaint the ceiling that went through a good portion of our main floor. Not only did their estimate include the painting, but they also took into account several cracks that were in one part of the ceiling. They also included taking out all the recessed lights and spraying the covers to match the ceiling. (They had previously been a dingy yellowing color). The other estimates I obtained from other companies did not include this attention to detail and one was even much higher in cost. They finished in a regular 8 hour work day and cleaned up everything really well. They were very responsive and flexible with scheduling. We will definitely be inquiring with them for future painting projects.

To be fair, when all was said and done Solution Painting did a good job painting. However, Mario was too hard to work with to make it worthwhile. He was very charming during the estimate, but that kindness quickly disappeared when the work started. By the end, he was yelling at me in my kitchen for contacting him too much ("I have a business to run!"). Um, part of running a business is to respond to your customers. Very unreasonable, more so because I had actually never contacted him myself during the job up until that point. My husband only contacted Mario at his own request when Mario's cousin, who was doing the tiling, was MIA. At that point I was too frightened to bring up any other issues and let all matters drop (except for asking them to reimburse us for the cost of a blind that they lost, which took 2 months of calls and emails before they responded). Problems: * The work ended up taking twice as long as promised. We worked with Mario's cousin to do our tiling, thinking that it would be more efficient since they had a business relationship but there were days in there that were supposed to be work days when the house was empty. * Goofy mistakes - reinstalling most of the house blinds on backwards so the pulls didn't work, gaping holes in the caulking along the moulding, painting the windows open in the garage and leaving them stuck like that, installing a mirror too low so that our faucet wouldn't open. Also, after they left the dryer was out of alignment (from not being moved carefully) and we had to fix that. Mario had promised to install shoe moulding in the kitchen (I wrote out a detailed list of the tasks, and I assure you it was on there) but he claimed he would never have agreed to that. After the yelling incident in the kitchen, I didn't want to bring up some of these items so we ended up covering them ourselves. *Clean-up - they left boxes of trash around the outside of the house and in the garage. It took me hours to clean up everything

Great experience. It was the cheapest estimate by at least $500 (including repairs). Three guys came to work and performed two days of work from 8am to 6pm. Everything looked new on a house that had a pretty good amount of wear and tear and warped wood. I'd definitely use them again.

Our newly purchased home had a metal deck that desperately needed to be sanded and repainted. Solution Painting did a fantastic job - very thorough prep and cleanup, and it now looks brand new. The job was rained out a few times, but they consistently followed up to reschedule and eventually came out on a Saturday, which was really convenient for us. Will definitely use them again in the future for any and all paint jobs.

Project was perfect from start to finish. The crew was very prompt, responsive and professional.

They arrived each day at 8 AM. Covered spaces. Did the work, and cleaned up.

Everything about the job was superb. The paintwork is flawless. Repairs were done very professionally. The crew was extremely neat, and kept the job site very clean and left everything spotless. The work was done on a house belonging to our 93 year old mother. They were very gracious in dealing with her--extremely polite and patient, ensuring that they did not inconvenience her in any way. We will definitely use Solution Painting again.

Outstanding work. Superior quality, along with prompt, reliable, respectful, considerate service by Jose and his crew. I used Solution Painting for exterior work last year and was very impressed with the results, so I went back for the interior painting I needed done. As before, the quality of the painting was very, very good. The crew cuts no corners, using multiple coats and oil-based paints where durability is most needed. Although the initial price may seem higher than other painters, I have no doubt that the job will last longer and therefore be actually more economical over the long term. The service is also superior. The crew showed up exactly when promised, and worked nearly 12 hours each day so that the job was finished two days early. They were very considerate of me and my family, carefully moving anything that was in their way and putting it back right in place when they were done. They cleaned up after themselves each day, not just at the end of the job. The final price was less than quoted considering I added a room, and payment was requested only after the job was completed. I heartily recommend Solution Painting -- I don't think you could make a better choice for interior or exterior painting.

Original work date was rescheduled due to weather delays but company made an effort to work with our schedule. Several individual requests were handled well and the team was hard working and prompt.

Very good. Mario, the owner, was able to come by to give us an estimate a few days after contacted his office. His was the lowest of the 3 bids we obtained, and we also liked what he described would be the work flow. His crew exceeded our expectations. They were able to start a few days sooner that we expected and finished very quickly, because there was a large crew working on the house at the same time. Our brick house had been painted several times before, but not in the last 22 years, so there was a lot of peeling paint to chip off, power wash, then prime and then two coats of paint. The wood work was also primed before painting with two coats. Mario told us the brand of paint that he would use, so we had plenty of time to select the colors in advance. The crew also washed the outside of the windows and gutters and power washed the sidewalk, front walkway and driveway, several things that we did not expect. The house has never looked so clean! And paint job is beautiful. The price was reasonable and the job was well done. I would definitely use Solution Painting again.

The work was very well done. Great prep work before painting. Painters and owner very responsive to any concerns raised during the process. The owner stopped by every day to check on the progress.

We got three estimates for this work and chose Solution Painting based on Angie's list reviews and comparisons with other estimates, one of which came in a little lower and the other which came in at twice!! the price. We have always had higher than usual quotes for exterior work due to the height of the house from the ground and the fact that being on a slope means the ground is uneven. We had anticipated their starting on the 25th, but we were emailed that there was a slight delay in their schedule and they started on August 27th with a small army of workers. They removed the regular size exterior doors in order to completely remove the old peeling paint and opened the double entrance door to clean and repaint it. They cleaned out all the gutters and painted them. They washed all the exterior windows as they were painting the exterior trim. The garage doors required scraping, a base coat, and two coats of paint. They were very neat, using drop cloths to cover the entry steps and driveway. (NOTE: we took one car out to the street so their trucks could use the driveway.) Mario, the owner, came by at the end of the first day to review the progress.

We are pleased with the process and result. The workmen arrived on time each morning, stayed till after 6 in the evening, and completed the job in 2 days vs. the 3 that had been estimated. We were impressed with the care they took to thoroughly cover all the floor, wall, and even outside door surfaces so that there would be no residue or dirt to clean up. They hung plastic on the bathroom doors so that the dust would not migrate to the rest of the house. When they left after the job was done, there was absolutely no dust or dirt left behind. They really contained the mess inside the bathrooms and then thoroughly cleaned that up before leaving. The wallpaper was difficult to remove, had been installed by the builder 22 years ago. They took a lot of time to patch gouges in the wall board and the result is a very smooth paint job. The quality of the end result is outstanding. They were not the least expensive estimate we got but they were the only company that thoroughly wrote down exactly what services they would be providing and they included the paint costs. So we felt confident doing business with them. Most of the other companies cited an estimate and said they would have to see how hard the wallpaper was to remove. Communication with their office was good for the most part. They originally had to move the start date but they coordinated with us and that was fine. However, since the start was delayed by a couple weeks, we hoped we would get a reminder call/email to confirm when the workmen would be arriving on that Monday. As it turned out, the workmen showed up at 8AM and we were ready for them. There also seemed to be a bit of confusion about the paint color but turned out the workmen had a record of the email with the correct color. These were not big issues, and we would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Prep work was good. Painting, for the most part was good. Mario, the owner, was argumentative at times.

My place is 50+ years old. The walls and ceiling had never been repaired. They had cracks and holes in them. After Solution Painting finished my job, there were no cracks or blemishes. Their prep work was outstanding. They moved most of the furniture out of the room. They put drop clothes, covered the floors, closets, cabinets, and surfaces. Then they spackled all the walls and ceiling. They sanded and painted. Afterwards, they vacuumed and cleaned and put all the furniture back. The walls were smooth and painted perfectly. They are like new now. There is a supervisor on the job at all times. There is a manager that oversees and inspects the job. Solution Painting is a professional company that is licensed, bonded, and insured. When you contract with them you will not have a problem. The work will be done to your satisfaction. They stand behind their work. I highly recommend them.
