Electrician, Len, was very professional and friendly, explaining my options. Unfortunately he showed up two hours after our appointment time was scheduled, then completed the job within 2.5 hours. Price was a little more than I expected (although I did not ask for an estimate), but he did a good job and the outlets are working great for our holiday lights!

They were very responsive and fit my appointment into a tight schedule. The technician was helpful in diagnosing our ongoing problem and they provided a different option that worked well for us.

Half the outlets in our kitchen were dead when we returned from a vacation. I tested all of the breakers and GFI test switches but nothing worked. Technician told us what to do over the phone and - voila - everything now works. And no charge.

I joined Angie's list specifically to find a quality electrician to complete the work. Based on customer reviews and their location, I decided to give Quality Electric a try. When I called to set-up an appointment, the courteous gentleman who assisted indicated that they should be able to get to me around noon. Since I work weekdays, I asked if someone could call me an hour in advance of the expected arrival. Although he agreed, past experience with other companies had me doubting if it would work out so easily. Imagine my delight when I received a call shortly after 11 AM letting me know that they would be there in an hour. At 12:05, they were here... on time! Len was the lead, but he was being assisted by a young man who I failed to get his name. Unfortunately, right after they found the issue with the first outlet and had started repair, I was notified by my building manager that a Quality Electric van had just been towed from across the street. Fortunately it was only a block away from my condo, but I expected Len would be somewhat frazzled. Not all at... he was very professional and kept working. One hour later, the work was complete and they had cleaned up my counter-tops. I then asked Len a question about another issue - something minor - and he took the time to explain to me how to resolve it. Again, very courteous and professional... and much appreciated by someone (like me) who prefers to try to fix everything himself. To show courtesy in return, I walked the Quality Team over to get their van and thanked them again for their assistance. This went very well. Thanks Quality Electric and thanks Angie's List!

I had them off Angie's List. They phoned when they said they would and did what they said they would. I would recommend them.

The electrician came earlier than I expected (which was great), looked at the breaker box, looked at the wires coming into the house, and explained exactly what the problem was. He was very nice and professional.

Harry replied to my weekend e-mail in a timely fashion on Monday and set up an appointment for Tuesday morning. Electrician Matt and trainee Jerry showed up right on time, and were friendly, professional, and efficient. Matt found the burned-out wire in my kitchen GFCI outlet and replaced the now-useless outlet with a new one. He explained to me exactly what the problem was and showed me what to look for in case it ever happened again. Then we went out to the rusted-out outdoor outlet, which he replaced, also installing a new cover that will do a better job keeping the water out. Finally, we went on a hunt to solve the "mystery" of the two outdoor outlets that didn't work. It seems that they were connected to a never-used GFCI outlet in the basement that had been tripped for who-knows-how-long that we'd never noticed! Matt explained several quirks of the electricity in our house, suggesting solutions and explaining how to troubleshoot future problems. He answered all our questions clearly and never treated us like we were stupid. He and Jerry were very professional and competent, and the cost for parts and labor was right in line with what you'd expect to pay in this area. I'd definitely hire this company again.

This is a great company. We needed to get some work done FAST on an older house in order to make it more liveable and safe for my older father-in-law. I called Quality on a Monday and they sent someone out to do an estimate of the work on Wednesday morning. He was very honest about what we should and shouldn't spend our money on. It was then that I also shared with him that I needed to get some re-wiring for the bathroom remodeling that I had just started, but the bad news was that in order to keep the job on schedule, I really needed the rewiring to be done the next day. While the estimator wasn't sure that would be possible, he suggested I call the office to see what could be done. As it turns out, they were (amazingly) willing to accommodate me and they had a team out by mid-morning the next day. They called a half hour before they got there to let me know they were on their way. They were polite, professional and cleaned up before they left. The work was performed on a time and materials basis, and I was informed of the rate before they arrived. 3 days later, my husband was putting in some replacement light fixtures, and when he took one of the old fixtures out, we saw that the wiring had crystalized and was a serious safety issue. Unfortunately, the wiring for that light also controlled another light in the kitchen, so we needed to have someone rewire the other light and cap off the old light box (we decided not to replace the light fixture at that time). Again, I called the next morning and Quality was actually able to get a team back out that same day to do the wiring. I highly recommend this company. The employees that arrived (one of the people was the same each time) have worked for the company for a long time and obviously enjoy their jobs. They were polite and respectful.

It actually couldn't have gone better. I was very lucky that the electrician discovered I was putting in the wrong wattage of bulbs, and he let me run out and get the right ones. He had to back track and do extra work because of that. BUT I wasn't charged extra. I'm very grateful. He said my peace of mind was most important. I couldn't have been more impressed with the electrician or this company!!! And electrician was just the nicest, most polite guy ever.

Matt from Quality Electric Service came out to fix the grounding on our sub-panel, a repair item from our home inspection. When he opened the sub-panel he saw right away what needed to be corrected and as he explained it to me he noticed some items that just didn't make sense. He opened the main panel to investigate further only to find a spaghetti like tangle of spliced wires and wire connections which can barely be believed! The panel box was stuffed full! The mess was not to code and after a few more minutes of investigation and thought, Matt was able to figure out what was done wrong and what needed to be done to correct the problem. He explained the whole process to me step by step until he was sure I understood, checked in with his office and then got down to work. It took him about 5 hours start to finish and the work looks amazing! He cleaned up all the debris and gave me some pointers on other work we want done in the future. We will use Quality Electric Service for all of our electric needs from now on! Thank you Matt for all the hard work!

We have had excellent experiences with Quality Electric. In the relatively short time we?ve lived in our home, we?ve had them come out for everything from the mundane (replacing loose wall outlets and installing new light fixtures) to the complicated (installing a ceiling fan in a room with no existing fixture or switch) to the unique (new switches and neutral lines for home automation purposes). The last time, they even noticed some unsafe wiring in our attic and asked if they could fix it. Each time they have been on time, worked quickly and efficiently, they make sure the rooms are clean when they leave, and we feel as if we have gotten our money?s worth. There might be cheaper alternatives, but you get what you pay for.

Two staff members called before they arrived, showed up on time and finished the work quickly and efficiently. They were courteous and helpful.

I called Quality Electric Monday morning, described the problem and they suggested some things I could do to try to remedy the problem myself. No luck, I called back and although they had a full schedule said that they'd try to fit me in as soon as possible. At 2:30 they called to say they could come out Monday afternoon; I missed that call and called them later. Quality said they'd try to fit me in either Tues or Fri, Tues afternoon they were here, and fixed the problem within an hour. In addition, I asked about installing a 2nd panel since my first is at limit given remodelling, some of which may not be to code. Quality Electric suggested that we spend a little time going through the house to see what the current situation is and make a plan on what to move to a 2nd panel before actually doing the work. I was very pleased to have a provider offer to do an assessment to see that the work was really necessary before taking on the work. We also discussed the benefits and cost of surge protectors both at panel or by receptacle given the many electric surges we have in this area. In summary, Quality Electric provided advice on what I could do myself to avoid the first service call, when doing the call resolved the problem extremely quickly, and provided advice on a way-ahead to avoid some potential future problems.

Len Lawson arrived promptly to conduct the estimate interview. He provided a break down of the costs. He gave us dates when the work could be done. He arrived on time and completed the work quickly and in a professional manner. I recommend this electrician without reservations.

After a recent major power outage/power spike, I delayed in calling Quality Electric the next day when we found some things were not working. I saw their truck in my neighborhood early the next day, so when I called later and they said their workers were headed out to Fairfax and might not be able to get to us that day, I wasn't surprised--lots of people had serious problems after the surge/outage. I WAS surprised when Quality Electric called back later and actually did make it out to our house that very afternoon. In addition, on the first call to them, the man I spoke with talked me through many basic troubleshooting techniques, resetting breakers, unplugging certain things, etc, AND he even mentioned solutions that he might have just learned that morning from other customer issues in my area--it was very helpful to me, and wasn't going to make them a dime. It was clear that when their customers needed them, Quality Electric cared more about solving the problems than profiting from the outage. (We had only used them once before, so we weren't really "their customers" by history.) When Matt from Quality Electric arrived that afternoon, he discovered that we'd lost our Microwave, a GFI outlet, our dining room dimmer switch, and a couple of surge protectors. There wasn't much that could be done about the Microwave, but Matt from Quality Electric replaced the GFI outlet, put in a temporary dining room switch until my husband could choose another fancy dimmer wheel, which they came out later to install at an affordable "continued" rate. Matt also spoke knowledgeably about the surge protectors which had been fried by the power spike, but thankfully had saved our expensive electronics--he was knowledgeable about surge protector physics, and his educated views on how to choose surge protectors in the future gave me a new respect for the devices and helped me to choose replacements--they don't always have to be the most expensive ones on the shelf. I was impressed that Matt from Quality Electric answered all of my questions about our house wiring and possible changes to some existing configurations with great knowledge as well as practical know-how. His knowledge and communication style were excellent--It was like having a PhD in Electrical Engineering providing a personalized assessment of the status of the problems, possible issues, options, and solutions for the house, but delivered as a down to Earth practical approach. Quality Electric is very good at: giving accurate cost estimates, excellent problem solving and work-arounds, for showing up and helping their customers, and for their good communication style, integrity, and honesty. We are really happy with the way Quality Electric treated us during the recent emergency and recommend them highly.

They were here less than an hour, explained why each problem had occurred and fixed each of them promptly. Will use them for the florescent lighting installation.

Arrived on time and performed a thorough analysis of the situation and completed the work in an hour and a half. Worked efficiently and courteously. Also provided an estimate for another project we are considering having done.

I called for an appointment and the man who answered asked me to fully explain the problem. When I told him he advised me to reset the breakers with authority. I did this while he waited on the phone. And it worked! This saved a service call, lost time from work, etc... The gentleman on the phone was very pleasant and knowledgable. Due to this great interaction, I will use Quality Electric Service for any and all electric work I have in the future. It's nice to deal with an honest company. Thanks!

Excellent. I called and made an appointment. The electrician (Len) called before he was to arrive and came on time. He is a pleasant, professional, and thoroughly competent electrician. He even made suggestions to reduce the cost of the work. He worked quickly, methodically and cleaned up afer himself. The cost was right on what they quoted. We will definitely have them back to do some more work after the holidays.

They were timely and their estimate was good. They were professional and everything turned out great.
