They did a good job, they were very professional and easy to work with. They did things on-time and I was very pleased with them overall. I was satisfied the most with the people who did the move, they were very helpful. I've had moving experiences before with people who were very difficult to work with. The packing and blanket wrapping services were very good as well. Their pricing was much better compared to other companies and I went with them because I felt like whatever research I was able to do told me that they were more trustworthy than some of the other companies. It turns out the packing did end up costing a lot more than what I was originally told it would, but I still think that the move ended up costing me less than it would with another company. I would recommend them to friends and family.

Matthews Nationwide was the best moving company I've ever hired. Period. I did extensive research on movers when I had to move a family member from Seattle to Atlanta. Matthews nationwide came highly recommended by a friend and they EXCEEDED my very high expectations. They quoted the inventory accurately and picked-up and delivered on schedule. Customer service was exceptional.

Overall the experience was unsatisfactory. This was our second experience and unfortunately this move went nothing like the first one. The crew arrived 30 min late, took 15 min smoke breaks every 45 min, did not protect the floors in the house moving from or for the brand new house we were moving into. The trip between houses somehow took the movers an 2.5 hrs to complete a 1hr trip then wanted to take a lunch break upon arrival. All things considered our goods arrived undamaged although some items are still unaccounted for including some jewelry. Just not what we got the first time around.

Under normal circumstances, I do not do online reviews of companies, products and/or services but felt compelled to do so after my experience with this company. Contacted several moving companies for quotes for upcoming move. Decided to go with Matthew's Nationwide Moving not because of price but because of the numerous positive reviews. Provided the company with a comprehensive list of items to be moved via email. All items were wrapped and boxed. I only required a crew to load and unload. Was given a very competitive quote at $100/hour for a 2 man crew + truck. The problem started the night before the scheduled move (around 9 PM)when the owner called and advised me that he would recommend a 3 man crew (at a higher price) because of the amount of items I had. This was odd and confusing because I provided the comprehensive list and was told that the move could be done with the 2 man crew. I was questioned if boxes were going to be moved which were clearly listed on my list to which the owner advised he only briefly looked over it. After a lot of back and forth, he said since I hired a 2 man crew he could definitely do it but it would take them more time. Then I was advised that if I cancel, I would lose my $100 deposit EVEN THOUGH it was the company that called me at the last minute and attempted to change the terms of the agreement. The whole thing felt like a shakedown for more money so I ultimately cancelled and lost my deposit. My wife and I got the feeling that the 2 man crew would not move as efficiently as possible to prolong the move to get more money. Buyer beware! There are other moving companies who will give you honest quotes for estimated time based on the items you are moving. This company lacks integrity and should re-evaluate their business processes. When a comprehensive list of items to move is given to your company, you should take the time to review the list and address any concerns BEFORE you take a deposit instead of telling customers that everything looks good. Thankfully, I was able to hire another service to assist with moving through UHaul of all places. I hired a 2 man crew at a fraction of the costs of Matthew's Nationwide Moving and the load/unload was completed within 4 hours.

Chris and Bobby moved our 2420 sq foot home to storage during renovation, it went without a hitch. They took great care, putting down padding, wrapping door jams, banisters, etc. Top notch. I'd recommend them for your moving needs.

They were very clear about the pricing for the deal and any extra charges we might incur. They were on time, professional, and stayed longer than what we paid. Great service overall.

When I called to schedule the appointment I spoke to "Matt". He told me that he would recommend 2 movers for 4 hours to move large furniture from my 3 bedroom apartment in Alexandria to my new home in Purcellville. He immediately told me that the special did not include Purcellville and he would have to include the amount of time it took his movers to travel from their homes to Purcellville and back in the total hours. Because I purchased 4 movers for 4 hours and was receiving 2 movers I assumed that meant I would have 8 hours included in my $600 purchase. Therefore I was annoyed, but not overly concerned. On moving day my movers arrived and proceeded to move my furniture. It soon became clear that they would go longer than 4 hours. At which point I was told that the $600 package no longer applied AT ALL. Because there were only 2 movers I would be charged $100/hour. I was furious as Matt had recommended the 2 movers instead of the 4 I had purchased. It also took them 6 hours to complete the move plus travel time instead of the 4 Matt had estimated. In total I paid $900. I feel completely deceived by the package offered versus the structure of how I was finally charged. I sincerely wish I had simply stuck to 4 movers for 4 hours as described. I was never told that a reduction in the number of movers could ultimately cost me MORE because it would take longer to complete my move. I would never recommend this mover to anyone.

best moving company I have ever used. Initially hired Matthew for local VA to move belongings into storage to stage home for sale. Was so impressed with the diligence and efficiency, hired Matthew for an out of state move to NC. Impressed by the professional service, and can-do attitude for every aspect of the move, There was no wasted time, no hidden charges or unexpected fees. Professional, polite, personable, and some of the hardest workers you will ever see. Days after the move, and totally unsolicited, staff at the large storage facility commented on how impressed they were with Matthew and his crew- from the appearance of the trucks, their professionalism, and how they "hustled" to get the job done. Matt and his team were tremendous; on-time, polite, hardworking. Matt did a walk-through before starting the job to make sure they moved only what needed to go. Once they began working, they didn't stop. The heavy-duty truck they brought along was clean inside and out. All blankets appeared to be very clean if not new. Before they began the move, they laid new plastic runners on all floor/carpets. They also attached a moving blanket to the front door jamb to make sure the woodwork wasn't damaged while carrying goods out of the house. Everything was carefully wrapped, carried, and staged before being placed into the truck. The house was left in mint condition. Matt and his team arrived around the same time I did at the new house and again got right to work off-loading. In short, if you need to move, these are your guys. You won't find a better company for a move within the U.S.

He indicated they did a fantastic job. The price of the service was fair. He indicated they were friendly and open to conversation but when it was time to work they didn't let themselves get distracted. Everything was handled we care.

Matthew and Mike arrived on time, easily understood instructions, went straight to work and methodically loaded the truck and super-simplified a usually nerve-wracking experience. I have recommended Matthew's to my friends and work associates. I most definitely will use Matthews for my up-coming out-of-state move. just knowing I have found such a reliable professional company has been great in reducing my stress and concerns over my up-coming long-distance move.

Matthew and his team (two additional movers) did an excellent job moving lots of furniture, a refrigerator, and boxes out of a three story townhome with windy stairs to a single family home locally. The crew was polite, efficient, and very careful with our belongings. I highly recommend them for any moves. We plan to use them as well for an out of state move as well. Very positive experience.

Matthew and his crew were efficient and professional. They arrived on time and got to work quickly. This was a big move, and they needed to make two trips, even though they had a 24 foot trailer. Halfway through, they offered to call in one more person, at a reduced rate, to help speed things up. There was one setback - I have a steep driveway, and they couldn't get their truck up to the house, and so they had to park on the street and move stuff from there. Very hard work - but they kept at it, and got the job done. The move took 9 hours, and and cost me much more than the original Big Deal voucher, but it was a job well done, and was worth it.

"Matthew and Malcom" arrived at 8:45 AM in Reston and left my home in Fairfax at 4:00 PM with not so much as a 5 minute "break" in their rapid-fire moving activities. They moved "in high gear" at all times. There was no time wasted in "wrapping" things that did not need protection, but padding and wrapping everything that did need that protection. In short, they were superb in every respect. They were polite, courteous, responsive to any and every request, with no "attitude" issues even when asked to relocate items from one floor to another because we decided the item did not "fit" or "look right" where we had originally told them to place it. My companion had experienced a previous "horrible" move by another firm where the end-cost was 200% of the estimate, in part due to slow-motion moving activities and insistence on bubble-wrapping and taping everything whether it needed it or not.. She was absolutely astounded by how smoothly, efficiently and quickly the Matthews team got the job done, with not a single scratch, dent or broken item! Our move was very complex in that we were "merging" her furniture and files/books etc. with mine, and that entailed moving a lot of my furniture around at the target location to make room for her pieces before they could even be unloaded off the 24-foot trailer they use so effectively. We had some 82" bookcases that were too tall to fit through a door, and too long to "swing" horizontally in a very narrow hallway. I had pre-measured down to the inch how they could be brought in by tilting them and backing the bottom into a bathroom adjacent to the doorway, and Matthew and his partner caught on quickly to my suggestion and executed it without either complaining or saying "it won't work." As a result, the monster bookcases were successfully placed exactly where we needed them. I can't compliment the team enough for a 7 hour job that some movers would have managed to spend 14 or more hours doing, if they succeeded at all! Their price was exactly what we had agreed to pay, with no "add-ons" for gas, packing, etc. etc. that other advertised movers had listed as being applicable. In fact, the value they delivered was way beyond the price we paid in every respect, and I would recommend them to anyone without reservation.

Punctual, efficient and did a tremendous job!

Matthew and his partner arrived on time, took the time to understand exactly what was going where, and then got to work. They worked very efficiently and did a great job protecting furniture, moving boxes, and placing things in the correct spots at the new location. Nothing was damaged or broken. We went about 45 minutes over the pre-purchased block and were charged $75 for it as stated in the deal. Was very happy with the services provided and plan on using them again for some moves out of storage spaces later this year.

I would definitely use Matthew's Nationwide Moving again. There were prompt, courteous, accomodated my schedule, cost-effective, and a real pleasure to work with. I was incredibly pleased with how hard Matt and Tyler worked to move my household goods safely.

The provider was very pleasant to deal with and very prompt and courteous in his responses. I had no issues with the provider and he was very accommodating when we initially had to move the date for services and then ultimately cancel. We had to cancel our move due to several issues that came up unrelated to the service provider.

Matt and Mike did a fantastic job for us last week. We highly recommend Matthew's moving company.

Matthew and his crew did a fast, clean, safe/careful, highly professional job moving our home today. I was very impressed every step of the way and in fact, they were faster than I could move! On top of that, everything was moved safely, without nicks or dings or any damage, which I am super grateful for. On top of that, Matthew and crew are super nice, making a very stressful time easier and quite literally taking a big load off my mind - and schedule! I truly couldn't have asked for anything more. A great big thanks from a very satisfied customer....and I will be sure to both recommend him to anyone needing a mover.....and use him again in the future too!

I have moved multiple times in last 5 years and this is by far the best experience I had. Matt and Bruce were outstanding.

Matthew's Mover's are absolutely fantastic! First off, we called them at the last minute for a move that needed to be done ASAP, and they were very flexible and did their best to make some extra time for us. Secondly, they showed up right on time, and full of smiles and energy, which they kept going for the entire move! I've worked with movers before who show up tired and groaning...let alone midway through. Not Matthew's movers! Third, they were super careful with all of our things, wrapping everything in blankets and pillows, even making sure our doorways were wrapped to protect against nicks. Everything arrived looking exactly as it did before. Even our white carpeting - it looks as good as new the day after our move as it did before. They listened to all of our requests, and made sure to follow through on all of them. Lastly, they finished the move far faster than we anticipated - they are very hard-working and dedicated. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. Matthew's Movers delivered on what was the best moving experience I've ever had!

It went well. Communication was great with the provider. They are responsive and provided notification with any problems. They had an issue with their truck in the morning of the moving day but they got right to the task as soon as they arrived. The crews were polite and courteous. The move took almost 5 hours so we paid an extra $100. We are happy with the service.

I bought an Angies List Big Deal. Good contact before the day of the move. Arrived on time and efficiently loaded their trailer with the contents of the unit, taking care not to damage anything and pack it safely. Dealt with our difficult drive (hill and right angle pipestem.) Unloaded quickly and put items where requested, moving a couple of others as requested. Very friendly and helpful. Many thanks!

Matthew and his helper were great! They performed our 3 stop move with no issues. They were prompt, courteous and professional.
