Nick, Jose, and their team were fantastic. Always punctual and professional. They always did exactly what they said they would do. They were accessible by phone and e-mail and always responsive. They prepared the work site to ensure the house remained clean throughout the process, which took two days. They really went above and beyond what I expected, going so far as to repipe one of the old water heaters for the two day installation process of the tankless unit so that our family would have hot water at all times. I can't recommend them highly enough.

The plumber, Dimitri, was on time at about 9:30, and was very professional. He and his helper looked at the things I needed done, and called to his office for a price. The office quoted a price of $600. Since I needed the items done now, and had just driven 1.5 hours to meet them, I agreed to have the work done. A bit before 11:00, Dimitri presented me with a completed invoice and bill for $600. I got to thinking about the job and the price, so asked Dimitri what the approximate cost of the parts was. He calculated about $40 to $50 or so. I then told him that I thought he had done a nice job, but that I also thought that $550 for 1.5 hours of labor for a plumber and his assistant was really pretty high. Dimitri called his office back and they volunteered to reduce the price to a total of $550. So, bottom line, I got charged about $500 in labor for 1.5 hours of work. I may not be truly current as to what plumbers cost these days, but it just seems that is excessive. Again, these folks were very responsive (scheduled them on Tuesday afternoon for a Thursday morning appointment), and they did a fine job.

I got his name and number from my neighbor. He did an excellent job but he was very, very expensive. I didn't have a choice because it was an emergency and it was the only one available. He did an excellent job but he overcharged me. He took advantage of me. He fixed it and he did a good job. I will not recommend him because he's expensive.

We had a shelf full of chemicals fall on top of old water heater, and even after cleaning up the mess, we did not feel comfortable with reigniting the water heater. We called Nick who came right away to assess the situation. We asked him provide an estimate for replacing it with a tankless unit. His price was fair and come well under other quotes we had received, but in the end we decided that the extent of work was more than we wanted to go with. We called NIck (on the Sunday before we were to have the replacement) and asked him whether he could provide us with an estimate for a tank water heater. He responded right away and even answered our questions about installing a whole house filter. His team was here early on Monday ready to get started. The install went wonderfully. Dmitri and Carlos took their time to make sure everything was done correctly, and we couldn't be happier about our new heater and filter system. We wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

Nick and Dimitri were very helpful and did an excellent job. Our old hot water heater was rusting and water from my a/c unit drain line was ending up in my drain pan due to a problem with the slope of the pipes on the floor. Nick gave me several options of how to fix the issue and I am very pleased with the new raised water heater. I would definitely recommend JM Plumbing and will use them in the future.

On Friday evening our Rinnai tankless water heater started putting out hot water intermittently. I called JM Plumbing first thing Monday morning and they serviced the water heater that afternoon. The men who took the information and those who performed the work were terrific. They were friendly, informative, and efficient. I could not ask for better service.

Our A/C wasn't cooling properly. Nick and his employee, Dimitri, arrived promptly and inspected our Carrier Model 24APA7 Performance Two-Stage A/C 4 ton 17 Seer. They discovered that the condenser coils outdoors were covered with a gray layer of "dirt", restricting the airflow around the coils. Upon inspection, he discovered the lint vent of our clothes dryer, which is mounted on the third floor of our townhouse. As lint was blown out of the vent, the condenser below sucked it up, thereby coating the A/C coils with the grey material. After removing the galvanized steel cabinet panels, Nick and Dimitri first cleaned the coils with a wire brush, then washed them down with concentrated coil cleaner hooked to our outdoor hose. This took a good two hours to complete, since the coils were unbelievably dirty. Nick then checked the Freon level and discovered it was a bit low, so he added some Freon to the unit. Our A/C is cooling perfectly now. In the future, Nick suggests that I spray the outside coils yearly with coil cleaner to prevent the build-up from recurring. I highly recommend Nick for his thorough, up-to-date knowledge of state-of-the-art heating and cooling equipment.

Punctual, friendly, knowledgeable. I feared the worst, and my fear came true (had to buy a new water heater for a house I'm about to move from), but they made the experience easy by showing me the damage in the old water heater, then ordering and installing a new one same day. Code has changed and new heaters are a different shape/size - Dimitri removed the old and installed the new in an extremely tight space and made it look effortless.

JM were wonderful. They called the same day I e-mailed they and came right over. They gave us an estimate and put it in the very next day. Everyone we dealt with at JM was so courteous and very very pleasant. The work was done quickly and we had hot water that evening. Would we recommend JM Plumbing? Absolutely!

Nick showed up, took pictures of the various repairs to be done and told me he'd email over an estimate in couple of days. I told him I'd be gone for a month, but would like to complete the repairs on my return. Never received an estimate, so when I returned I followed up with an Angie's List message to which I received no response. I then spoke to Nick on the phone and he said he'd provide an estimate to me within a couple of days. A couple of days later, I sent him a follow up email to which he responded saying he'd have the email estimate to me by today or tomorrow. And six weeks later nothing. It's fine if the provider doesn't want to do the job, just communicate that instead of ignoring the potential customer.

Nick showed up the day after Thanksgiving after our original contractor had been unable to resolve the problem he had caused. Nick was professional, helpful and courteous. The work he did was excellent and we are very very pleased. We plan to use JM plumbing and heating for ongoing maintenance and any future requirements. We heartily and un reservedly recommend JM Plumbing and heating.

Our water heater was staring to fail -- I noticed a change in how long I could keep hot water going in the shower at a specific temperature. And as usual I got on Angie's list and looked for all A rated contractors. JM Plumbing has fantastic reviews in my neighborhood and specializes in tankless. Nick Morales (sales, service and installation) came (on time!), and he immediately impressed me with his knowledge and thoroughness. He gave me a price quote; I scheduled the installation for the next week. The price was about $1000 less than the other firm I had consulted. The men were on time (even 15 minutes early). The job went smoothly, even though our water heater is on the main living floor of our condo -- and it is three flights of stairs up from the street. They were real professionals and took their time to explain everything to me and my husband. Nick was there, as was his charming father. They even changed the utility room light bulb for me. (Too high for me to reach). They also cut through the drywall to install an air register to get our unit to code. They cleaned up after the job. I must admit I was a bit nervous about a tankless -- but it is wonderful. Very very quiet, and much smaller than our big tank. I now have space in our utility room to put my vacuum! I highly recommend JM Plumbing and Heating and will use them again!

Nick was our technician. He was really great to work with. I initially called him to confirm the information the original contractor had already given me. He spent a great amount of time with me giving me any information I requested. He was very informative upfront and gladly assisted me before even being hired for the job. Due to my homes set up there are a lot of issues with installing a water heater and even more issues installing a tankless water heater. He did an excellent job preparing me for the jobs specifications. We have had no issues with the system since installation 2 years ago.

Nick and his crew were extremely professional and talented plumbers. JM Plumbing provided me with the best price for the work I wanted done and I felt confident in how Nick both described the issues he saw in his initial inspection as well as his recommendations. They were able to complete the extensive work of replacing my very old hot water heater and boiler as well as replace some piping. The work was completed within two days and with very little disruption to my home. The crew arrived on time each day. Before starting work, they lay down tarps, were considerate to remove their shoes when doing work upstairs, tidied up after the first day, and really cleaned up the work area at the completion of the second day. I could not be happier with this major installation/plumbing work and look forward to using them for regular servicing and inspecting of my boiler.

Our old hot water heater -- and I mean old -- died while we were on vacation. I contacted JM Plumbing after finding them on AngiesList. Nick got right back in touch and said they could do the work the next day. A potential snag I was worried about: I had already purchased a tankless heater, two years ago, expecting ours to die. Nick said no problem, the model had been updated but most of the internals and all the connectors were the same. No b.s. about an extra adapter or any other nonsense. Nick and the other guys were friendly and informative. Their work is clean and tight. They did a neat job with the installation, which I had been worried about because it meant drilling through my 100-year-old wall. A neighbor who also went tankless recently told me my vent looks a lot better than his. I had to agree. The water heater has been great, and it was a real relief to get this done quickly and well. The price was a little painful, but it seemed in line with the industry, and the work is top-notch. We'll use them again.

No fuss, no muss! Technicians showed up exactly when scheduled, and the whole installation went very smoothly. The main thing with JM Plumbing & Heating is the service -- how they back up the products they install. After only about a year and a half with this unit, a couple of weeks ago, we suddenly weren't getting hot water. I called Nick, and within an hour or so, he sent a technician to check it out. They had conferred before the tech came, both of them agreeing that it sounded like a part on this system had given out -- it just quits without warning. The tech came armed with this part, and indeed, that's what the problem was! They took considerable time looking into whether the unit was still under warranty, which it was, and only charged me for the work. We had hot water again within two hours, and we know we can always count on JM Plumbing & Heating. They're fantastic.

JM Plumbing installed a new tankless water heater for me in March of 09. I've had them out a couple time for service and a couple niggling issues - they have always been on-time, friendly and helpful. They even completed and fixed the issues on first try. Last month, I noticed the heater was leaking on a Thursday night so I emailed Nick. He got back to me the next AM and had Dominic out at 2 PM. They fixed the leak and got me back up with hot water, but Dominic noticed some other issues. They contacted the mfg, got a new unit, and replaced mine under warranty. After 5 years, the folks at JM Plumbing are still responsive, competent, pleasant and actually help when I need it.

As always with JM Plumbing, it went perfectly. We have used this family-run business for years, and they have done all sorts of things for us, from extensive remodeling (kitchen, guest room, bathroom, mudroom, porch and office,) to installing a tankless hot water heater. They are always fair, quick, clean and personable. And they are the nicest guys in the business.

Everything went very well! At the consultation, Nick was punctual, and very informative, helpful, and pro-active. I appreciate him listening carefully to what I needed and providing me with information on what would work best. The entire team arrived on time every day (3 days for everything...one day less than what I originally though it would take) and was very professional and competent. José answered any questions that came up throughout the process, and worked out any kinks that came up. Nick answered all of my e-mails promptly, but in the beginnning I did have to nudge him to send me the written estimate. Once everything was installed, and one of the settings was not correct, they returned promptly the next morning to fix, and things have been fine since then. I would highly recommend them, and would definitely use them again for future projects. Well done, JM Plumbing!

Nick was great, showed up on time, re-routed the exhaust line when we realized it would vent into our backyard patio, and came back to correct a deficiency after the County inspector saw a couple things wrong. Our Navien tankless water heater still works great! Did I mention we can take hot showers all day long if we need to?

JM Plumbing and Heating removed my old 40 gallon water heater and replaced it with a tankless heater in my small condo unit in DC. I first met with Nick Morales a couple of weeks before having the work done. He was quite late for our initial consultation, but was very personable and professional when he arrived. I was impressed that he recalled having done work in my building several years ago for another owner (which I knew was accurate as he remembered the name/profession of the owner). That same afternoon, he sent a full proposal and estimate for the job both with a tankless heater and standard tank heater replacement. I really didn't compare his pricing with other companies as I knew that it would be an expensive job, and I really wanted a company that had extensive experience with tankless heaters, as JM does. On the day of the work, Nick and his crew arrived and were very polite and professional, and concientiously laid drop cloths over any area where they would be working. This was not a straightforward job as my old heater was actually sitting on a platform built up into the ceiling of my closet which made the removal a little tricky. The entire job took about five hours, and the crew was very professional throughout, and asked for my permission/decisions about certain aspects of the job. They also asked for permission before using my restroom (granted, of course!) They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the job, and Nick explained the heater and other features of the installation before leaving. He said he will follow-up in a few weeks to check in. Overall I am pleased with the new heater, though the hot water pressure in my shower is low due to the very cold ground temperatures right now. I'm sure that will change as the weather warms up in spring/summer. Water pressure in other faucets is fine. I would recommend JM Plumbing and Heating - they performed very well and to expectations.
