Nick was great to communicate with and the job went smoothly. New hot water heater. I got a few bids and did some research and just felt good about JM because of their positive reviews here and because nick was very responsive in communicating with me which shows that he cares about his business and his customers.

Excellent service, highly recommended. We can't thank Jose, Nick and the team enough for the terrific job they did repiping our entire home and installing a new hot water heater. The team was on time (even early) each day and completed the project on time and within the original estimate provided to us. Incredibly professional crew that worked tirelessly and diligently to complete a large project in a short timeframe. Nick and Jose maintained constant communication and made what seemed like a daunting project, an ease for us as homeowners. We will definitely be calling JM Plumbing again in the future for any and all plumbing needs.

The other two started around 10:30am and left at 1:30pm as the majority of the work had been completed. The first two guys finished up testing/adjusting the new system, cleaned-up everything and were done at 3:30. Everyone from JM Plumbing was professional and friendly. Work Completed: Disconnect kitchen cabinet front panel to access water heater, Haul away old unit and dispose, Pull out the washer and dryer to get access inside of closet room, Replace old main water shut off valve with a new one, Install a new 3/4 plywood on the back wall, Mount the new Tempra 24 Plus tankless on the wall, Install the new tankless isolation valves, Install Aqua-Pure AP430SS Hot Water System Protector, Connect hot and cold water lines to the valves from the laundry hot and cold location (cutting of drywall will be necessary), Run and install new 6/2 wire for new electric tankless unit. Total duration on-site: 6 hours. INVOICE: Cost of Tempra 24 Plus $785.00 Cost of installation with rough materials, Includes all labor and rough in materials, Removal of kitchen sink and haul away of old water heater and rec-connect kitchen sink temp $2,415.00. Electrical wiring and materials $750.00. Online Web discount -$250.00. Total $3,700.00. Overall the guys did an excellent job with only one very small problem. The kitchen cabinet front panel they removed was not secured properly when re-attached. It fell off when I opened the door. Not a big deal since I'm gutting the kitchen anyway. My biggest grip with JM Plumbing is that I paid way too much. Unfortunately, I didn't have hot water, it was January, and I needed to get this work done. I pushed back very **** ** his estimates saying that he was assuming a lot more complexity and effort. As it turned out, I was correct and the job was fairly easy. I calculated that the total labor for my project was about 18 hours. Taking out $1100 for the Tankless W/H and materials, leaves $2600 for labor which works out to $145/hour. Even for DC, that rate is ridiculously expensive. I brought this up to the owner and asked that he discount the job by $500. I felt that $3200 was a fair price for the job. He did not agree, but took off $70. Total paid $3630. P.S. While I understood that drywall repair was not included in the price, I was surprised by how much drywall was removed. That cost me an additional few hundred dollars.

I called for an estimate, liked what they said and they came that same day to remove my old electric hot water heater and install a new one. They were fast, careful and very professional. Plus friendly and very straight-forward. I'd be delighted to use them again.

The work was done efficiently and cleanly. They came on time.

My water heater broke over the Christmas / New Years holiday. I was in quite a bind because I couldn't get many companies to attend to it at that time of year. I felt that JM Plumbing took advantage of that fact. While their team did very good quality work, and was attentive to details, the sales representative (Nick) was extremely rude in how he handled my calls, and not transparent in the pricing. He yelled at me, and refused to provide a true itemization of the cost that divided up the work between hourly labor and materials. By the end of the job, after the holiday had passed, I called in another company to assess and finish the project. They did it in much less time and only charged me $200 for what remained, while JM Plumbing claimed they would need another $1000 (in addition to the $3,110 I'd already paid).

Team of three arrived exactly as indicated, and did a fine job on the entire project (taking out old hot water heaters and setting up new hot water heaters, including new copper pipes as needed and new code required elements). They explained what they did so I'd understand what took place, and they worked diligently for almost five hours on the project. The area was spotless when they were finished.

Can't thank Nick and his team enough. They were able to come the same day I called them to replace a water heater. He answered all my questions and gave us a competitive price. His guys were courteous, put down floor protection, and cleaned up after themselves. We will definitely use JM Plumbing & Heating in the future.

The team did a phenomenal job. I am grateful and feel very lucky to have found them. Their estimate was the lowest out of three estimates. Two large companies declined to do the job said it was too complicated. These companies told me they would have to hire a lift to remove the old boiler. JM plumbing thought outside of the box and disassemble the old boiler. The team was respectful and cleaned up so well you could't tell there were there.

They did a phenomenal job. I feel very fortunate to have found them.Nick was great he told me that I did not have to run a drain I could use unused drain already there.All Others missed that. Senior Morales is so skilled with 30 years of experience. The entire team was great I just hope I can find a team like this to do my other renovations.

Put on the calendar two months in the future.

The team was punctual and professional, and included some additional items they found during the work (fixing the AC drain line so it wouldn't leak into the water heater's drip pan, and pouring concrete around outside drain) without increasing the cost. I would hire them again.

Nick was great. He was on-time, explained the problems he found and suggested good solutions. The work was good quality.

They came that day. They're responsive. I didn't have any hot water and they were here within an hour.

I renovated my townhouse in Washington DC and needed to quickly find someone who could install a new HVAC System and two hot water heaters. Furthermore, he had to coordinate his efforts with the other contractors on the job site. Nick responded immediately by inspecting the job site and by providing all the necessary quotes. In addition, he had to research a tank that would fit into a very small space. Nick pulled the necessary permits and showed up with his team (he came with five workers) and completed the job within one week of my initial call to him. His team was terrific and they did a great job. I am extremely satisfied with his performance from start to finish. I plan to use him for all future plumbing and HVAC work.

Great experience. Called about leaking hot water heater. I received in person attention within an hour and they were able to replace the unit the next morning. The estimator was very knowledgeable and helped me find an economical replacement for my unexpected plumbing expense. The technicians were polite, timely, and cleaned everything throughly when finished. I totally recommend this company and their staff.

The crew arrived a little late but called to let me know they were going to be late way before they were supposed to be there. Once they arrived they were very professional, respectful and did a great job. The crew removed the old water heater replaced the shut off valve, a portion of the gas line, it's shut off and re-piped the water lines which were piped backwards. JM also completed the DC energy rebate.

Nick Morales was remarkably responsive! When I suddenly had no hot water late on a Thursday night, I found JM Plumbing and Heating on Angie's List. I sent an email to Nick on the company website that evening and got an email response very early Friday morning. We worked out the details by email and one phone call. The work crew arrived as promised later that morning to begin removing the old water heater, Nick arrived shortly thereafter with the new water heater that we had discussed by phone, and the job was done by early afternoon. The work crew was outstanding. They were responsive to my questions, neat, efficient, and patient with my two curious dogs (including a 10-month-old puppy). After installing the water heater, Dmitri checked all my faucets to ensure that hot water was flowing. He also installed a carbon monoxide detector and put a new shutoff valve for my external faucet when I asked him to turn off the old one because I was having difficulty turning the knob -- all for the agreed-upon price. With no hot water on a Friday in January, I didn't feel I had the luxury of shopping around. JM Plumbing provided a new hot water heater quickly to meet my needs at what I felt was a reasonable price with outstanding service. I highly recommend JM Plumbing and will continue to use this company for future plumbing needs.

When I initially inquired about obtaining a new water heater Nick was very responsive, following up with an email and a call. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I obtained two other estimates of costs and JM's was very similar, but Nick's responsiveness and knowledge of the details and options involved caused me to choose JM. On the scheduled day for the installation the team arrived right on time. The team was extremely careful with the removal of the old unit and the installation of the new one. Dimitri, the team leader, kept me informed throughout the process. I was truly impressed with the level of competence and professionalism displayed by all the people involved.

JM Plumbing was great. They worked quickly and professionally. Our hot water heater died on a Monday morning, and JM Plumbing was able to send a team out that day to replace it. In fact, they sent two teams, one to remove the old unit, while the other team picked up the new unit and delivered it. When we purchased our home, we knew our water heater would eventually need to be replaced. Sure enough, it started to have moisture on the bottom so I collected quotes. JM Plumbing was the middle quote (and honored the Angie's list discount of $100). Nick Morales was extremely responsive and stopped by the same day I called (that evening after another job) just to confirm his quote was accurate and there wouldn't be any unexpected costs (I've had bad experiences with other providers doing that in the past). He didn't hard sell me and was very matter of fact about the replacement, explaining everything it would include. The kind of water heater they used (AO Smith) was the exact same as another provider who quoted me $1750. Dimitri and a colleague came the very next day and were wonderful. They were punctual, extremely clean, (even removed their shoes before they walked on carpet), and thorough. They removed the old water heater and installed a new system (including water heater itself, drain pan, new valve, and new expansion tank). Nick stopped by to quality check the job, which I appreciated. Dimitri walked me through what he had done and the basics of the new system. Nick followed up with me afterwards to ensure I was satisfied with the job. A week or so later, we had an issue with a leaky shower head. Despite a bad snowstorm in the area, they got to us relatively quickly and did a great job fixing the issue with the same level of service. In full disclosure, they did ask me to include a request on Angie's list, but I had no hesitation doing so and would highly recommend them.

I was very impressed with these guys. They communicated beforehand, showed up exactly when they said they would and were done in half a day. The price they quoted me was exactly the price I paid, even though they threw in some extra bells and whistles like a carbon monoxide detector and some new piping and shut-off valves.

I found this company by accident--I was searching online and got a response from Nick Morales. He offered to come by within a day or so to give me an estimate of what I needed. He was punctual, courteous, and highly knowledgable. His prices were competitive and he looked for ways for me to economize, including ensuring I got DC tax rebates (for which he filed), and modified his original recommendation to address my concerns about enough water for a rental property, and getting the heat to the third floor. He scheduled the work the next week. His staff was neat and professional, and the work was done in a day or so, including inspection. One was a very skilled Spaniard who had had long experience with energy efficient units. The installation was PHENOMENAL. On three occasions thereafter, three different contracters (including two competitors) who were there for other reasons have looked at the neatness and planning reflected in the installation, and were bowled over by the high quality of the work. These compliments were not polite--they came from top professionals who had no interest in pleasing or thanking Nick and his company. I would not hesitate to recommend these folks.
