Fairfax Carpet Cleaning Inc

This company literally defines unprofessionalism. I hired them to clean the carpet of a client. They scheduled, then cancelled 3 times at the last moment. When they canceled the last time, they did not bother to call to let me know. Numerous calls to them to find out what was going on went unanswered.DO NOT use this company. They are not reliable or professional.

I called the company in early June to set up cleaning of the carpets in my h ome after I had moved out. I received an e-mail stating the "4 Bedrooms House $99, Living room+bedrooms+dining room+hall all stairs, Prespotting, Deodorizing, Sanitizing, Ligh-Soiled carpet Only Heavy soiled carpet $15 per area". I explained that I had two sets of stairs as well as a den and the person on the phone said that when the cleaners arrived they would assess the areas and charge $25 for each extra area. My appointment time was between 0800-1000 on June 29th. The e-mail said I would receive a call 30 minutes before they arrived. I received not call, so I called the number on the e-mail at 0930 and got an answering machine and I left a message. Ir eceived a call around 0945 from a gentleman saying he was at my property (where I had been waiting since 0745). I let Abraham in and noticed he was driving a small, shite mini-van and was the only person there. He carried a clip board and quickly went through my home. He said "$325, OK?" and I said "no, $99." He said that the stairs were 16-steps and the master bedroom was too big. He pointed to a plain sheet of paper with a list of areas of the home that said "stairs of 9 steps" and other items, including "$25 for extra areas". I showed him the e-mail and said "I want you to clean the carpets for $99. The home is empty, this is easy." He said "OK, $199". I said "No, Ill give you $25 extra for the den, so $125 but that's it". He then left the house. Since he came alone, I doubt that if I had agreed to the $199 he would have been able to clean the carpets at thtat time anyway. And, since I was never able to directly call the company but only got voice mail, I question the credibility of this business. Plus, I filed a complaint with the Consumer Affairs division of Fairfax County and they received a response where now the company has changed this "Moving out" special AND they have changed their phone number! Very fishy - avoid at all costs.
