Exceptional Upholstery Carpet & Rug Cleaning

Chris was extremely responsive and provided several suggestions on how I could try to remove the stain before he came out on a service call. What Chris suggested worked PERFECTLY. Chris was so helpful and honest - if I ever need upholstery or carpet cleaning in the future I will not hesitate to call Chris.

First rate ! Herbert and Sean were very thorough, taking out stains we thought would be unlikely to completely removed. Very reasonable rates and outstanding service. Highly recommended.

I am not easily satisfied by anyone's work. However, I was pleasantly surprised with Exceptional's Quality Work at my house yesterday. The rugs look like new and the couch looks new as well. I would give them a 10+ on their work. Will be utilizing their services exclusively going forward and glad to have found them. In addition, the men that did the work were very careful in my home and were respectful and friendly. Couldn't be more satisfied and happy with the completed job at my home. Excellent, this is the second time Exceptional has come to our home to clean living chair for wine stains. 2 different spills, both times they did an excellent job. Very professional, courteous, and friendly. I highly recommend them and yes I would definitely use them again.

initially I looked for pricing for this project and Exceptional was not the least expensive. The owner asked if he could talk me more about why that is so Chris and I got on the phone and he explained the quality of their work how he has held onto his key staff for years and can assure that they do a consistent and excellent job. I decided to go with Exceptional and I couldn't be more pleased. My Lazy Boy microsuede sectional that was purchased with the sense of being pet friendly is frankly anything but. However the couch is made well and we didn't want to get rid of it but have had no success historically cleaning out the watermarks and stains that seem to appear if you looked at it cross-eyed. Similarly an ottoman with a polyester blend fabric had some stains so we decided to have both the sectional and the ottoman tackled at once. I can't believe what a great job the Exceptional staff team of Herberth and Sean did in cleaning my furniture! It's probably brought another five years of life into this couch! Herberth and Sean were timely and professional. I highly recommend Exceptional for upholstery cleaning!

They did a great job. It was the owner, Chris, and another gentleman who worked simultaneously. They had the routine down and were very efficient. Both gentlemen were very friendly and professional in action and appearance - even gladly moved some items upstairs that I forgot in a closet. Chris was very easy to work with when my schedule changed and his communication was very prompt. I would highly recommend Chris and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.

Work far exceeded my expectations. My off-white carpet is 20 years old and now looks close to new. The spots are gone and even the edges close to the wall are sparkling clean. I have hired carpet cleaners in the past and have always been somewhat disappointed in the outcome. Not this time!. Courteous, punctual, professional. What's not to like?

My couch was like new after they finished the cleaning service. They spent extra time on it to get all stains out - about 3 hours. He also fit the appointment in on short notice which was a huge help, as I was having family in from out of town that weekend for a first communion. I will be calling them annually, and I would definitely recommend.

Herbert did an excellent job. The carpets and tile look like new. He was very professional - answered all my questions and did a good job explaining the room measuring process. I would definitely hire them again.

Excellent work. I particularly appreciated the help on one difficult stain, and the advice I received on how to deal with it seeping back up through the rug pad. The stain absolutely seeped back up and I trapped it using the technique I was advised to use. Incredibly helpful. The price noted below was for 3 area rugs, including one Oriental rug, two rooms of wall-to-wall carpeting, and one stairway. More than reasonable.

I am so pleased to have found a true professional doing this kind of work. My past couple of experiences had not been so good. From my initial phone call, Chris Murray, the owner of the company, was responsive and professional at every step of the process. He was punctual, and careful with our floors and furniture during the work. Chris was a clear communicator and I never felt like I was being set up with a quote that would be cleverly revised upward at the end of the job. Never did I feel manipulated to spend more. In fact, the final cost of the job was less than Chris had quoted. I was so pleased with the result that I immediately hired Chris for a second, larger job at another property, on S Columbus St in Arlington, which I will write about separately. I highly recommend Exceptional without reservation.

I contacted Chris to clean all of our carpets before the holidays, as well as a really large sectional. He was polite, super responsive and able to schedule the service within 5 days. He cleaned the couch the first day, and was supposed to come back the next...but his tech ended up in car accident that evening. Chris promptly called, let me know of the issue and was able to reschedule the service for a day later. He just finished up and the carpets are amazing. We hadn’t cleaned them since moving into the house...and with kids and dogs, they were filthy. I’m happy to say they look brand new again! In spite of the great service, I’ll definitely be using Exceptional again because of Chris’ honesty and communication, and the care he showed for his tech. You don’t always find integrity in contractors, but this one is a definite referral to all my friends.

It went really well. Chris noted for me that some past tenants had bleached parts of the carpet, so those marks wouldn't come out. What he was able to clean, was done thoroughly. His crew took the time to move some things around to access more of the carpet, and they propped up light furniture on pads to allow the carpet underneath, to dry. There are less expensive options, but I do feel Chris' team is the best in the business.

From the moment I first contacted Chris at Exceptional Upholstery, Carpet & Rug Cleaning, it was a first class experience. On the day of my service, he and his assistant arrived right on time, and we walked through the areas to be cleaned. He let me know exactly what they could and couldn't do, and answered all of my questions. They got right to work, and were finished about two hours later. There was an ink stain on the carpet in the office, since the day we moved in, that Chris didn't have much hope for removing, but said they would do what they could. They managed to significantly improve the stain such that it is almost unnoticeable unless you know it was there. The carpets were dry to the touch by that evening, but we waited overnight before moving furniture back into place. It has been ten days since our cleaning, and the carpets still look wonderful. We will definitely call Exceptional Upholstery, Carpet & Rug Cleaning when it is time to clean the carpets again.
