Real Estate Agents

About us

When you first meet Earle, she greets you with a firm handshake and a broad smile. She has a certain charm and friendly nature that immediately set you at ease. As you talk to her, she listens intently. You can see by the earnest look on her face that she’s already developing ideas and strategies to accomplish your goals. By the end of your conversation, you’re surprised that someone can have such a clear understanding of your needs after just one meeting. This is the essence of Earle’s real estate service. She’s a straightforward businesswoman who doesn’t let up until her clients are satisfied. Knowledge is power. For Earle, her lifelong passion for education has been the key to her success. She earned a graduate degree from Syracuse University and with an insatiable appetite for learning remains on the cutting edge of the ever-changing Northern Virginia/DC marketplace. Her clients rely on her for the financial insight that has made her an authority in both the classroom and on a nationally syndicated videotape series. “The pivotal variable to every investment,” she says, “is financing." The key to the very personal decision about your real estate representation, however, is going beyond experience and qualifications. You’ll want to find someone who makes you feel comfortable, someone you can count on. Earle stakes her reputation on each transaction and is interested in what is best for each person with whom she works. She listens—and then delivers. A simple strategy? Yes, but one that you can’t always count on with the average agent. For Earle, delivering results is business as usual. For her clients, it’s unmistakable. Service areas also include Herndon, Lake Ridge, McLean, Mount Vernon, Reston, Rosslyn, Springfield & Tyson’s Corn.

Earle was our selling agent when we sold our town home in the Pinecrest division of Alexandria in 1992. She was also the person that found our lovely house in Annandale. Twenty two years later when it was time to sell our home she was my go to agent. Earle is always professional and courteous. She brings knowledge, humor, logic and reasoning to the many situations that come up during the process of selling and buying a new home. Every member of Earle's team was a pleasure to work with. When I am ready to sell my current home Earle will be the one I call.

If you want to sell or buy a home in the Northern Virginia area, then you should contact Earle Whitmore. I have been involved in the sale of four homes in my lifetime, and none went as well as this fifth sale with Earle. From the time we met to discuss putting my house on the market, I was impressed with her knowledge of the current real estate market and the area where my home was located. She communicated respectfully and listened attentively to my concerns and questions. No moss grows under her feet. If I needed repairs on the house, she contacted the right people and it was done quickly. If I had any questions, I could reach her by phone or leave an email, and she had an answer for me as soon as possible. She investigated every aspect of the sale, anticipated possible problems and prepared me for everything to signing on the dotted line at closing. It was a pleasure to work with her, to watch her do what she does best and to have her right beside me as I closed another chapter in my life!

she has just been a world of help. what i really like that she did is the video and brocheres that she put together. she knew the area and what everything around me was going for. she went with me on the middle of the road pricing. her information and pricing was good. she has been consistent and if i needed any help or assistance she was available. i would recommend her with no exception.

Earle visited our house on 3/28/09 and gave us ideas on how to make the house more marketable, as well as a "snapshot" of the market in our area over the previous six months, a bound notebook with comparable sales in our area, a sellers guide with helpful information on everything from updates to staging to "what to expect" literature on the selling process and information on her background. (There were several other things in the folder she gave us, but those were the ones we used most.) She answered all our questions very honestly, and gave very helpful, insightful advice about the sale. She gave us a very conservative (i.e. the lowest number) estimate on what we might get from the sale, so we were able to sign a contract to build a new home having an idea of how much cash we would have on hand for the down payment. Once we were ready to actually put it on the market, she called the day before and told us we needed to increase our price due to another house in our area going under contract the previous day. We raised the price, and put it on the market the following day. What followed was amazing - 45 different possible buyers visited the house, we went under contract within two days, and sold for $24,000 OVER the asking price - all in a down market. A good realtor watches the market closely, advises you honestly on what your house will sell for, and takes care of the transaction. A really GREAT realtor does that, nets you about $45,000 more than what you were expecting out of the transaction, and adds the personal touch. I talked to Earle all throughout the process but not only about the mechanics of the transaction. She has genuine interest in our new home situation and has even advised us on that transaction, even though she's not under contract to do so. Her staff, Stan (her husband) and Jennifer, were always professional and pleasant to work with and their responsiveness was great. I never had to wait longer than a couple hours at most to get an answer to any question, even if it was just that they'd find the answer and call me back. I can not say enough good things about Earle. I would recommend her to anyone selling or buying a house in this area.
Description of Work: Listed our house in the down market and sold it in very quickly. (the cost of any realtor's service will be a percentage of the sales price of the house, so it will vary quite a bit).
