At the end of the service, he said "Now, make me a check" in a gruff tone. I'm quoting verbatim. There's not reason for people to speak to each other like that - just none at all. I don't mind paying people for good work. I snaked the drain twice and was happy to have a "professional" on the job! Toxic masculinity. Misdiagnosis: For $375, he put 35-feet of snake down my kitchen sink. I had snaked 25-feet myself. He misdiagnosed a gurgling drain and wanted to pass me off to another plumber for a roof vent inspection. So basically no value, here. The next plumber: I called a larger outfit who did a hydrojet + a camera inspection for $575. This provided a thorough cleaning of the pipes and also a correct diagnosis of the problem, which was a bend in the pipes. An extra $200 for a hydro service and a chance to actually see the problem is a no brainer. I'd just go with a larger service.

Abe is extremely professional, prompt, and thorough. He explained the situation well to make sure I understood what he was doing. He works quickly, and cleaned everything up before he left. I'm very satisfied with his work.

Abe is amazing and very thorough. He started by calling me 5 minutes after leaving a message and then had me text pictures of the issue. He came by and took care of the issue, being meticulous and explaining everything to me. It just doesn't get any better than this when you need a plumber.

Abe will be my first call for all future work. I found him cross referencing businesses that are highly rated across review sites. I see why folks that work with him, review him so highly. With the below freezing temperatures approaching I closed off the hose bib shutoff valves and opened the external faucets to drain the water. Unfortunately I found out that the front faucet continued to leak. After calling Abe and leaving a message, he responded quickly, offered a very fair quote, then was on site doing the work later that day. He patiently explained what he was doing and what I needed to do to continue proper maintenance.

The plumber arrived on time and totally prepared to perform the work needed. He began work immediately, showed me what needed to be done, and kept me informed through the process. He completed the work, explained what I needed to do to keep the pipes safe in freezing weather. He cleaned the area completely.

He is the best plumber I have ever worked with. It is a joy to watch someone who is so skilled. He responds quickly, quotes a price in advance rather than charging by the hour and does excellent work. He is a true professional and a rare find.

A bad dishwasher valve was causing flooding in the kitchen. We attempted to turn the water off at the shut-off valve under the kitchen sink, but the shut-off valve also failed. We needed a plumber to replace the shut-off valve so that we could have water while we got the dishwasher fixed. We called Abe's Plumber Sunday after 5PM. He answered the phone and was at the house within an hour and had replaced the shut-off valve by 6:30PM. He was upfront that he could not fix the dishwasher problem, so we knew what work he would perform before he started. The cost seemed a little high, but he did not add a premium for the weekend call. Also, we were outside his normal work area. So considering those factors, the price was probably the best we were going to get, especially on the weekend. He understood the problem, did the work quickly and professionally, and for the amount that he said he would. Would definitely recommend him.

Fantastic!! I called Abe today about three plumbing problems I had. He came over within an hour and quickly fixed all three while giving me great advice on how to take care of plumbing systems so I don't continue to have problems. Plus, his price was very reasonable. I'm not putting a price in the "cost of service" block but it was a really good and fair price. Abe was amazing and far exceeded my highest expectations. If I ever have another plumbing problem, I'm calling Abe.

Honest Abe! I called to make an appointment as my kitchen sink was leaking. He answered the phone and I could tell that he was enroute to another appointment. He asked me if I had a sprayer device and I said yes. I told him that it was part of the actual faucet. He asked me to pull the sprayer part out and turn on the water as he suspected it was because the hose connection was loose. Voila! That was the exact problem. Had I encountered this issue before, perhaps I would have thought to look there myself. All I had to do was tighten it. Honest Abe saved me $$ when he at a minimum could have charged me for a visit. It is 12/31/15 and I was worried I would have to wait until after the holiday weekend to get this fixed. I will definitely call on him for any future plumbing issues and recommend him. Honesty and competency all in one! A rarity these days.

VERY responsive and efficient. Arrived an hour after the initial call and completed the work quickly. Provider is very knowledgeable and was able to troubleshoot problems and fashion a workaround.

Mr. Abe was recommended to me, so I gave him a call on short notice. We made a same day appointment, and he was prompt, direct, and professional. He quoted me prices beforehand and explained exactly what he was doing. Although I had called him to replace my dying gooseneck faucet only, once he arrived, I had him replace the worn-out (and very inadequate) valves as well. He worked steadily, professionally, and cleaned up neatly afterwards. Three weeks later all is working smoothly and we've had no problems. Would recommend without hesitation.

Excellent! Abe is a true professional that takes great pride in his work. He's our "go-to" guy for all of our plumbing needs. When we bought a new refrigerator, we needed a waterline installed for the ice maker and drinking water features. As per usual, he was very punctual and immediately go to work. Abe is not big on conversation as he is very focused and efficient when he works, but the quality and workmanship is second to none!

A pipe leading to our kitchen sink froze quite easily last winter. We accessed the pipe through a panel to insulate it for the upcoming winter weather (as we assumed the freezing was due to faulty insulation). We realized the pipe had a slow drip that increased to a steady drip after we tried to fix the problem ourselves. Abe cut out the cracked portion of the copper pipe and installed approximately 12and quot; of new pipe. He soldered these to the existing pipe. The piping was in an outside wall under a small shed, so it was not very easy to access. He performed all of this work outside on a cold, rainy day with no complaints. We called shortly after 7am and Abe was here shortly after 9am. The job took approximately an hour and a half. Abe was nice, but to the point. He didn't try to sell us services we didn't need or tell us we needed additional work performed. Job well done. We will definitely use him again should the need arise in the future.

Abe's Plumbing was very responsive and came within two hours after we called him. He is very expensive but good in quality.

I am a realtor and sometimes I call and talk to different service providers just to get to know them and then I might recommend them to one of my clients. However, Abe's Plumbing were rude on the phone. The guy on the phone asked me what's the zip code and I said I don't know the zip code and he started yelling at me although the area was in his business radius.

Not all of these pipes and valves were easily accessible, but Ibrahim got the job done in one afternoon. I would use him again.

He does a very good job. They experience went very well. The thing that I was most impressed with, was that I called him during the day, and he came over in the evening, which was really nice of him. Other plumbers said they couldn't come that day, and the dishes were piling up and the dishwasher was full, and he came the same day. It was the first time to use him, and we would use him again.

We called Abe's Plumbing first thing in the morning and he was available to come that morning or later in the day - he was flexible and accommodating. Abe came and replaced two aging, leaking shut-off valves. Abe was polite, professional, and punctual. He kept us apprised of the steps he was taking throughout, as well as the reasons why, and completed the task in a timely manner. Abe provided the best price quote we could find. We would use Abe's Plumbing again.

Abe arrived no less than 30 minutes after I called on a Sunday afternoon for a non-emergency. After 3 attempts with other plumbers to simply get on a schedule, Abe's timeliness was certainly helpful. Granted, there was some confusion over the price. He quoted $75 for the visit and $175 for the repair, and he stated that the $75 would be waived if the repair took place. I went forward with the repair but was charged $225. Pricey for a 15 minute job. Still, I was so relieved that i wouldn't miss any more work - I'm glad it's done and done right. I will use Abe again.

The technician was on time. He said he was in a great hurry, despite the fact that we had to pay ca. $70.00 just for receiving an estimate. To cap two pipes he then charged approx $250.00. The job took less than 10 minutes to complete. As a result of the capping, the technician spilled some water which he told my husband to clean up. He had to use the bathroom to rinse his face where he splashed water on the walls and hardwood floor. My husband asked him a question how to handle a rerouting of the overflow plastic pipes for the upstairs laundry room, which he said he would answer 'next time'. Overall the technician's demeanor was very brusque and unfriendly. In addition, his fees were more than double the price of another plumber listed on Angie's list. We will definitely not solicit the services of Abe's plumbing again, but instead go with the other plumber which I reviewed separately.

We came home to water pressure that was very low in the house. We called the Water Company to ask if there was an issue, and when they came to check the pressure going into the house; they said it was fine and we may have an issue in the house. Under further investigation we found a leaky (and about to go!) PCV valve. Uh-oh!! It that goes you have a MAJOR mess on your hands as that is the main connection the main water line. ABE was recommended after calling around to many plumbers who all wanted crazy fees for coming on a Sunday and not one of them could give a flat rate for a PCV repair. It is a very common repair and most have the part in the van so to speak. Abe was the first to say he could be there in an hour, did not overcharge us and agreed to a very fair price immediately (we called around to get a feel for the right price), and when he got to our house he did not charge us extra for having to remove and replace a pipe that was in the way of the PCV. Abe was very prompt, helpful, clean, professional...etc etc. GREAT GUY and very skilled hard working man. Use him going forward as he did not attempt to milk us for extra fees and the price he quoted is what we paid even though he did more work due to the pipe he had to take off that blocked access to the problem area.

If there was a grade higher than an "A", in all categories, we would give Abe an A+. He just left our home, on a Sunday afternoon, after being called only about an hour earlier. He is absolutely professional, polite, knowledgeable about his trade, and focused on his work. He had the parts to make the repairs on his truck. We hope not to call a plumber for awhile, but he's the one we will call when the need arises!

My overall experience with Abe's Plumbing was great. Their service was outstanding and the price was fair.

The job was excellent. They were very professional and very courteous. They had really good availability. I got their service the next day on that. I spent $600 on their services. They do very high quality work and have very responsive service. I had no problems with them and I would recommend them. I will definitely use their services again in the future if I need to.

We rent a duplex, and the crappy gray pipes (polybutylene, now outlawed) burst in the basement first thing in the morning. I shutoff the main, and then started to call around for emergency services around 8 am. His was the third phone number I called, and he said he'd would be right over. 45 minutes later, he was in our house on a Sunday morning. Took him 30 min to fix everything. I had this happen 6 months ago also, but the emergency services (part of the myplumber chain I think) charged me near $800 for the same thing. Ibrahim is a trustworthy guy and will be my plumber forever in the northern virginia area.
