Really liked the owner and thought that the was professional and did a great job. She brought a young woman to assist her that used her cell phone frequently rather than helping the owner clean.

Pride and Joy was great! An unfortunate turn of events prevented our initial cleaning to be completed, but when I called to schedule after a month or two had passed the owner had remembered me and was very helpful with setting up a new cleaning date and time. She was VERY responsive and we had great communication via text or phone calls. When she and her partner arrived they went straight to work for the entire duration of the service. Only wish I had paid for more time so they could have done a bit more!

It went pretty well. The two ladies that came out finished in about two hours. The end result of the cleaning was very nice. There were no issues with scheduling -- they were right on time and very professional.

I hired them to help with general cleaning so I could free myself up to take care of some of the more detailed spring cleaning. They were very nice. They got to work right away cleaning the house top to bottom. Exactly what I was expecting. I would hire them again to help me with my spring cleaning.

It went wonderfully. They are so very professional and hard steady workers. I have had some family illnesses recently and have had to let everything go. I have several pets which are indoor/outdoor. There was dust and pet hair everywhere. I have a lot of shelves with items on them that are dust collectors. All of this was cleaned beautifully, including my furniture. My floors are light colored and now they absolutely shine. I am so pleased and will definitely want this group to return. AND they were great with my pets!!

I bought this deal because my back had gone out and I wanted someone to clean the floors--the chore that aggravates my back the most. I informed the owner and her assistant about my back problems. Perhaps this simple act of letting them know I was injured is what lead to one of the maids (I suspect the assistant since she was the one to clean the bathroom in question) to go into my bathroom cupboard without my permission and STEAL my entire bottle of hydrocodone. Yes, you read that correctly--they didn't just take one or two so I wouldn't notice, but whomever it was, stole the remaining 18 out of 20 pills, then replaced the bottle back in the cupboard. I was none the wiser they had even been taken until four days later when my husband noticed it was empty. I called the owner, who was very nice, and she apologized, but she offered no type of compensation (not that I would use the company again) but I do believe at the very least a refund should have been offered. They are very lucky I didn't call the police as I believe stealing prescription drugs (in this case a narcotic) is a felony. The owner did confront the assistant (who denied everything) and assured me that she will not use that maid again. Nonetheless, and needless to say, I am livid that this happened and I cannot recommend this company to anyone else.

I spoke with the service provider about a month ago regarding scheduling and have not heard back.

Overall, the house looked good when she finished. My expectation was (based on what she told me on the phone) was that two people would be coming to clean for a total of 4 hours. Of course, this sounded wonderful and I knew a lot of cleaning would then be accomplished in my 2300 sq ft home. But only one person came. She also said that she would clean for four hours. But in reality, it was 3.5 hours. I got the feeling that she cut it a little short because (again, she told me) the upstairs bathroom needed a lot of work, and after 3.5 hours, she had done all she needed to do for that $99 deal. From a consumer standpoint, that was disappointing to hear. But overall, she was thorough, very nice, and helped us prepare for a party. I do not have a lot of experience hiring cleaning services, so I do not know what the norm is.

The Good: I had to reschedule my appointment 3 days prior to the appointment and Melissa was very responsive and able to reschedule me within the timeframe. Melissa cleaned the shower floor in the master. Melissa did a better job at cleaning than the other two ladies. The Bad: The cabinets looked untouched after they left. They had 3 ladies that came to the house for a 4 hour cleaning service. Before they came, I cleared the counter and put everything out of the way so all they had to do was clean. I asked to clean the kitchen and the bathrooms (master bath, hall bath, and 2 other smaller bath) and the cabinets, and mop the floor if they have time. They asked if I have stainless steel cleaner so they can clean the appliances as they do not have that. When I checked the cabinets, there're still water marks and dust, I asked if they cleaned them and they answered yes. There was an area of the counter that the lady totally missed. The bath tub still have soap scum, the bathroom mirror looked clean on the bottom half, the top half still look foggy. After they left, the floor still look dirty, so I cleaned it again with a clean rag, the rag came out black after I cleaned it. They did not take out the trash in the bathrooms (maybe because I didn't ask them to). I wouldn't use them again.

The women from Pride and Joy showed up precisely when the appointment was scheduled. They arrived with smiles on their faces, great attitudes and remarkable professional skills. They knew what they needed to do and did it. When they saw on area of the house that required significant attention, they immediately gave us options for how their time could be spent. They were clear that they could not clean the den in the basement if they solved the problem upstairs. We told them what we wanted and they followed up. The house is clean. The floor shine. The kitchen sparkles. Shelves are free of dust. And the house smells clean without the use of an artificial air freshener.

It went well. They cleaned our house. No complaints.

It was unfortunate that Joy lives much farther than her serviceable area. Despite this, she tried to figure a way to come out here that would be of benefit for both of us. I gave her a "B"--not because of anything she did *poorly*, but because I couldn't recommend someone for a job not done. ( Sorry Joy...) However, because she replied to my request quickly, and strongly considered how to accommodate me, she needed greater than an "average" C.

FANTASTIC! EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS! The owner and an associate arrived 5 minutes before the allotted time (having waited in the past this was a perfect start) They introduced themselves and we went over what they thought they could cover in the six hours. They had all of their own supplies and went right to work. The owner had several tricks up her sleeve to give everything extra shine and smell fresh and clean at the same time. They were able to cover more than I originally anticipated, so they definitely exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them. I plan to use them again in the future.

That turned out very well. I was out of town, but my wife said they did a very good job. They did a very thorough house cleaning. They cleaned thing like the baseboards, windows and things like that don't get cleaned during the day to day cleans. She is going to contract with them once a month, because hey definitely went above and beyond.

The owner said she would call me later to see how they did. She did not. I was asked if they could come early on the day of the service, I said I couldn't be home then, and I did take off in time to be there, but they were nearly 1.5 hours late with nothing but excuses made by the owner. She also sent me a text the following day, inquiring about my thoughts about her staff, pitting them against one another. Not professional and I do not wish to have contact from her again. Crystal & Cassie were sweet girls and I liked them both very much.

This was a "deal" that I purchased through Angie's List for 4 "man-hours" of cleaning for $99. Melissa was very good at replying to my messages right away. She was able to fit me in on the day I wanted. She arrived promptly with one other person to clean which meant that they would clean for 2 hours. My home is approximately 3000 sq. feet. However, I did tell her she did not have to clean my kids' playroom which is a very large room. Before she came, I made sure all surfaces were cleared off, items, etc. picked up off the floor and everything put away so that she would just have to come in and clean. In fact, she even said " wow, it looks like you already cleaned!" So I got what I paid for--$99 worth of cleaning. They vacuumed, wiped down countertops in bathrooms and kitchen, and damp mopped my wood floors. Toilets and shower/tubs seemed cleaned and beds were made. She did seem to be overwhelmed with my hardwoods (my entire lower floor is hardwood with area rugs) and asked me how my previous house cleaner cleaned them.... But the reason why I purchased the deal was to try out a new house cleaner since I wasn't happy with the one I was using so I really wasn't expecting a "deep cleaning" for $99. I did ask her for a quote to regularly clean my house every 2 weeks but it was a bit high. It seems the people who clean privately--not part of a company--and who go by word of mouth are much cheaper than those who have a "company name". That has been my experience, anyway. Melissa was very friendly and seemed very conscientious and I'm sure would do a great job for a regular customer.

I purchased one of the promotional emailed ads by Angie's List. Melissa (the owner) of Pride and Joy responded to the email sent about my purchase almost immediately and set up a clean date for my first choice - and time! - of dates that I provided. She called that morning to say they were a bit behind (which I appreciated) and arrived shortly thereafter. They arrived (the owner and one of her employees - equally as professional and motivated) with a large supply of cleaning supplies, rags, 2 vacuum cleaners and a few swiffers. They asked specifically what I wanted them to focus on (the promotional cleaning was 2 women for 2 hours, and I knew they wouldn't get to everything in that time frame) so I showed them around, and they got right to it. At the end of the cleaning session things just sparked! It always puts you in a great frame of mind when everything is fresh and clean. Just waiting for their quote for regular service and I will definitely have them back!

The owner actually performed the cleaning. She was professional, efficient and amiable. She cleaned all that I asked her to clean and then some.

She did our first cleaning while we were out of town and it was so wonderful coming back to a clean, fresh home. She is reasonable, thorough, and professional. Really looking forward to her future visits!
