Plumber On The Way

I called them at 8:00AM and they were at my house by 9AM. This is the third time that I've used their services in the past year, but the first time that I am reviewing them on Angie's List. They were referred to me by a plumber that I found on Angie's List with an A rating. They found a leaking refrigerator plastic hose and replaced it with a stainless steel one. Everyone I have dealt with in this company is extremely professional and quick to solve a problem.

They installed a piece of equipment that was one of things that we bought that only a couple of people are certified to install. It was like a special type of hot water heater that we use because our house is kind of ... got a lot of floors and there's a lot of pipes moving around and water that goes to the top floor gets cold. So we used them because they were one of the service organizations that was certified to install the specific type of unit. Everything was all A's. We had to use this one for something specific and they were great.

It did not go well at all. Turns out that the provider sent out two unqualified men to do the job because Tim their gas guy was so backed up! This was told to me by an employee at the business. The two men struggled to remove the glass from front of fireplace. They finally were able to pull it off but doing so broke the seal and the black frame around the glass. The 2nd guy pressed it back as best he could but the seal could not be connected. They unsuccessfully struggled to put glass front back informing me that the ends of the glass were behind a bracket and it should hold! They were unable to reattach the two springs that hold the glass securely. They left the glass front in an unsafe position which could fall and shatter! I immediately called the provider (Christie) and informed her of my disappointment and service By the two men. She reduced the service fee to $60. I summoned another provider. The gas leak was not in the main control valve nor in the fire log assembly. It was a leaking fitting from the control valve to the burner. Fred tightend the fitting and that has stopped the gas leak. I asked him to secure the glass front and to my surprise he took a key like tool with a hook shaped end located at the base of the fireplace in plain view, and within seconds secured the glass front. He informed me that if fumes leak where the seal was broken, I would need to replace the seal around the glass. Realizing that Plumber on Call completely got the leak wrong, I spoke to Christie about it and before I could even get a few words out, she said she would send my check back. I have not received my check and have Called Christie three separate times. Each time she said she will send it right out. The last call I made to her was today, Jan 20,2016, she informed me the check was on the way to me! We shall see. I will never do business with this poorly run and dishonest provider.

Ed came out and decided the best way to handle would b to go under the house. They had a super long snake and discovered that there only a small opening left for the water to drain through. The snake and water jet moved the clog to debris heaven and we couldn't be happier. He fixed the faucet outside in short order. We have been dealing with this for months and he fixed it in about 2 hours. So to say we are happy is an understatement.

Called Provider after being referred by a co-worker. Called on Monday to request installation of new gas hot water heater. We set up an appt for that Friday. They were punctual and very professional. Installation of water heater and new kitchen sink sprayer was done quickly with no mess. Very happy with results!

My husband found a puddle of water in our basement this past weekend. We called Plumber on the Way immediately and requested a Monday morning appointment through their after hours answering service. Plumber on the Way contacted us at 7:30 am and had their plumber and apprentice at our house by 9am. He traced the leak to the drain for our kitchen sink. The copper drain pipe was split 15and quot; and was located between the sink cabinet and the exterior wall which made this a pretty major repair as the back of the cabinet had to be removed as did the dishwasher. Two hours later and we are FIXED! These guys wore booties in my house, were respectful of my time, and did a great job cleaning up the mess. I've used them before, and will continue to use them again.

We called Plumber on the Way and spoke to the owner, Ed Conner. He came out, looked at it and recommended a replacement for a cost of $350. He came back an hour later with the toilet of our choice and removed the old one. Very nice people.

Overall, the plumber who came to our house was nice, neat and professional. But with regard to the work compared to the price, I am not happy. For starters, in my opinion, unscrewing a tub faucet and screwing another on should not cost $62.50. As for the whole house filter, temporary piping had been in place where the filter had been (it had been taken off because it needed a new o-ring, it had been leaking) so I assumed the plumber would come in and remove the temporary piping and screw the filter back in place. Instead, he cut away a lot of piping and replaced it with I'm not sure what, but it ended up costing me $178 in labor and parts. Maybe this is the new way of doing things; beats me.

I like to keep things simple and I can say that the plumber's work was very good. He was professional, kept the noise to a minimum while he worked and was flexible with our schedule. He removed the old water heater and all the mess he made. Of all the plumbers I tried to call, his was the best price.

We tried to fix it ourselves and even our friends tried, but the tub was filling up with buckets of water so we called them and they came right away, even though it was after hours. The worker gave us a discount and a cute business card. I would hire them again if I had any problems, I thought they did a good job and I was impressed they came after hours so quickly.
