They were quick and easy and did a good job. They were pretty responsive and the price was fine.

I have used them twice and have enjoyed working with them. They showed up on time and took the amount of time they said. They finished in a day and cleaned up everything very well. I have good things to say about them. They were very professional and came out when they said they would to do the quote. This company also helped arrange for the air quality testing and cordoned off the area very well. They passed the asbestos testing with no problems.

I did not get the work performed because my purchase contract fell through - if I had bought the property, I would have used Young Environmental Services; they seemed very above board and knowledgeable.

They quoted us $2,300. They were reasonable and were professional too. They came on time, did whatever they were supposed to do, and gave us the estimate. Right now the project is on hold so we do not know if we will use them.

Tests were negative. The technicians were superb, but unfortunately getting asbestos removed right requires substantial labor, so the prices were surprisingly high. But I'm convinced they would have been very thorough had we proved to need them.

Provided an accurate estimate that was competitive. Quickly performed the work and remediated all mold issues. Would highly recommend for future use.

Scheduling was very easy. They showed up on time and finished the job within the window they estimated. After several months, I noticed a gap around the the tape they used to attach the new rubber/plastic based damper. I called them and asked if they could send someone to fix the problem. They were very responsive and promptly fixed the problem. They are very professional and easy to work with.

We had a laundry sink overflow in the basement and water went under wood flooring that was on top of asbestos-containing vinyl tile. We needed to have the wood, asbestos tile, and mastic removed/abated. They sent out an assessor to view the site, and then the owner (Peter Young) worked with me to get a quote for the required work to our insurance company. Their quote was within the allowance for our insurance. We then called over six weeks later to have the work done and they were very responsive. We scheduled within a week, the owner and his crew showed up on time, completed the work within three hours, and stayed until the air had been analyzed and shown to be within safe limits for asbestos. They cleaned up and were gone by afternoon. We were very happy with their services and would definitely call again next time-though hopefully that won't be necessary!

I called Peter Young and they came out expeditiously and gave us an estimate and date for the removal. The date, Aug 28, was only a few days later. They also arranged for a company to do an after report on the air quality. They arrived on time. They closed off the area in which they worked and after the air quality company did their inspection and declared the area safe, they removed all their equipment and opened up the area. They showed me their work. They cleaned up after themselves and we were very happy with their work

It was a refreshing experience, I wish that there were more companies of this high caliber.

Young Environmental Services were rated really well on Angie's List. I called them after having another guy give me an estimate. They were a second opinion. I called Peter, the owner, directly and he was very friendly with me on the phone. I was very impressed with his level of professionalism throughout the duration of the process. He, unlike the other company, took time to explain the process to me, explain what asbestos is, what the removal would look like, how many people they would use, and what safety precautions they would need to do in order to keep it safe. He did that at the same time as explaining to me what things around the house were not dangerous. The first guy I had out used a lot of scare tactics and I didn't feel comfortable hiring him and he gave me a quote that was twice as high as Young Environmental Services. When Peter came out he was 10 times more professional and he gave me a quote that was at least 1/2 the price of the other guy. I think he did a way better job. Even since our removal we have had some questions and we felt comfortable reaching out to Peter and he has been extremely responsive in answering the questions we have had beyond the services he provided. They are an A all the way down. The overall experience was an A+. I would absolutely use him again.

The work went very well, from the moment they performed the assessment until they did the work and clean the space.

Within two weeks all arrangements were finalized, the "players" schedules coordinated, and work commenced. First was the removal of the asbestos. A two-man Young Environmental Services team arrived early on the appointed day and quickly constructed a heavy plastic sheet containment around the boiler and asbestos-covered pipes. A HEPA Air Scrubber was also installed inside the containment and connected to a large plastic tube which extended to the outside. All accessible "thermal system insulation" (asbestos mud) on the exterior of the boiler was removed, as were doors, gaskets, and interior insulation material. The asbestos material on the insulated pipes was similarly removed. Once complete, but prior to removing the containment, "air monitoring" was conducted (Geller Labs); the stated result (later confirmed in a written report) was that all samples collected met all current clearance criteria. With this determination, the containment was dismantled, equipment removed, and the team readied for departure. The team worked quickly and efficiently, accomplishing the entire task in less than four hours. After the containment was removed, the team was pleased to display the result of their efforts. The boiler and pipes were down to bare metal. All boiler doors had been removed; no trace of the asbestos material was visible. From my perspective, the team performed the required task in a highly professional and efficient manner. I would certainly welcome them back should the need arise and strongly recommend Young Envoronmental Services to others.

Good guys. Extremely knowledgeable about what they do, and they took the time to give us a comprehensive "education" on everything asbestos. All of what they told me was consistent with other research that I had done. They came on time, worked fast, and the cost was reasonable. If future renovations expose more asbestos in my house these are the guys I will call.

I had a great experience with this company. Called them after reading Angie's reviews, and they were very patient with my "what-if" questions. Recommended Geller for testing, which I had guessed from the reviews but read Geller's reviews as well and was comfortable with their working relationship. After testing completed, Mr. Young answered all my questions a second time and sent his son for the estimate photos. Their communications were professional and provided all needed information. They were able to schedule us within about a week I think. I really appreciated that they agreed to remove and dispose of our carpet. On the date of the removal they ran me through all the safety procedures again and the staff present seemed to be very safety conscious. In addition, they were very conscious of my property and we had much discussion over certain pieces of tape would go to best avoid damage to our paint. I would recommend them highly and without any hesitation.

Young Environmental Services were very good. We had gotten several estimates and we eventually decided to go with a cheaper provider. They were very prompt and if it wasn't for price, we would have used them.

The service was great overall. They arrived on time for the initial appointment and provided a comprehensive estimate of the work needing to be done. They were also careful to explain the process, including the need to seal off the basement, so other trades could be scheduled accordingly. On the day the work was performed, they arrived early, worked hard all day, and finished the job, leaving no trace that they had been there other than having the tile removed.

Young Environmental was extremely professional and walked us through the steps from start to finish. We had asbestos paper wrapping the ducts in our home. Young Environmental removed these ducts, cleaned, and removed the trash. I was impressed with the efficiency of the operation. All work was completed in about 5 days, including the time needed for pre-testing and post-testing. The only minor hiccup was that I did not receive the certificate of abatement immediately. But, to be honest, I didn't even realize that I didn't have the certificate until a month or two later. I called and Peter quickly resolved the matter, emailing it to me in a few hours. Overall, it was a really good experience. I was very nervous when we found asbestos in the house, but very pleased with Young Environmental's professionalism and services in helping us move the remodel process forward. I would recommend them and would use them again.

This is the second time we've used this company and the second time we've been satisfied with their work. Both estimate and service appointments were punctual and professional. Owner visited prior to crew beginning work to explain procedure and answer questions.

The crew who came to do the job arrived promptly. Mr. Young came to start the job. The crew worked quickly and efficiently. They job was done quickly and the crew cleaned up the area thoroughly. I believe that the price for the job was reasonable as compared to several other bids that I received.

I replaced the gutters on my home and it was discovered that there was no drip edge on one section of the roof and the edge of the roof was rotted on both sides. I had someone else look in the attic and the insulation was wet. At the time it was thought that there was some insulation with asbestos because of its appearance and the age of the house. I received an estimate that was very expensive and was very upset to say the least. I found Young Environmental Services on Angie's List and read the reviews. Since others said he was willing to explain processes to you, I called. Mr. Young answered, listened to my description of the problem, explained the process to remove asbestos and then referred me to a reputable company for testing my house. As it turns out, I do not have asbestos but if I had I feel confident I would have used Mr. Young to remedy the situation.

They were great to work with from start to finish. When I called to get an estimate, they sent someone the next day. He took pictures and measured the size of the room and explained to me what the work entailed. He said I would receive my estimate in an email the next day prior to noon and I received it promptly the next morning. They weren't the lowest cost estimate I received, but based on reviews from Angie's list and Washington Checkbook, I felt they were reputable and would do a good job. The crew arrived approx 20 minutes before the estimated start time, which was wonderful. The crew manager was outstanding and made sure I was aware of what was taking place. He did a walk through with me before they started the work and then again once they had completed the removal. They also did a great job of cleaning up when they left (the basement was cleaner than when they arrived :-) ) I would highly recommend Young Environmental and was extremely pleased with the work they did for us.

I had a wonderful experience with Young Environmental, and heartily recommend them. We had asbestos tiles on our basement floor that needed to be removed before a renovation. We got a price from our waterproofing company for them to outsource the asbestos part but decided to get quotes ourselves. I am glad we did, because Young's price came in $400 below our waterproofing company's and $1100 (!) below the other competitor's quote that I got. I believe their price was lower because they really took the time to evaluate the space and the condition of the tiles (only about half the floor still had tiles on it, so they charged me accordingly vs. their competitor which would have charged me for the full 600 square foot space). Peter Young is the owner; his son, Evan, works with him and came out to do the estimate. On the day the job started, the workers were there early - which I love - and were very nice and professional. The job was completed in one day, as promised, and Peter communicated with me before, during and after. Our basement is now asbestos-free and cleaner than it has ever been! Can't recommend them highly enough.
