Excellent results that have lasting. This was for an interior expose stone wall. Some of the brick and stone needed color repair; which has looked great. The work also included creating a new opening in a brick wall and closing up a separate doorway. The result looks like it was built that way.

Vaughan Restoration Masonry did a fantastic job in repointing certain parts of the façade of our 1939 home in Chevy Chase. They took extreme care in setting up the scaffolding, including placing padding on the slate roof to ensure no damage to the roof. They gave us sample selections for mortar, and they ultimately used a custom mortar mix that matched very closely to the original-- almost identical, which is not easy to achieve. The quality of the repointing was also excellent. They cleaned old water stains off the brick and in other areas, did a nice job removing excessive previous white wash. The neighbors even complemented their work. They stayed on schedule and were very neat. The final price was very reasonable, given the quality and care of the work. I would certainly use them for further work on older brick masonry.

Completely unprofessional. I missed work to stay home and meet them; they flaked on our consultation and gave me no notice that they wouldn't be coming. No apology when I called. I said I would find another company; they replied "that's fine, suit yourself."

They did even have the decency to respond to an inquiry about setting up an estimate.

I called Vaughan Restoration and had a very good conversation with them about the work I wanted done. This was a Friday and I was told someone would call me on Monday. After no one contacted me, I called them back and left messages two different days the next week and received no response. Quite disappointing...

The estimator was very knowledgeable with what kind of bricks/mortar need to be used for my house (and older houses in general), as opposed to the one-size-fits-all approach I have encountered with some other masonry contractors. The crew repointed and repaired everything at my house by hand--no sawcuts, etc. I was pleasantly surprised how they were able to replace a portion of a 2 layer brick wall around my back door without affecting the door, the surrounding light fixtures, and the interior finishes. I definitely recommend them.
