Excellent! He fixed or replaced everything I identified to him over the phone, plus a drain linkage and a shower issue we discovered when he was here. He had all the parts necessary, and obviously knew what he was doing, and was quick. He pointed out that the shower I thought needed a new cartridge, didn't, while a different one did. He could have charged me for both, and I would have been none the wiser, but he didn't. I have been unhappy with most plumber encounters in the Northern VA area, but was pleasantly surprised by this small company. I plan on always contacting "The Pipe Doctor" for any plumbing issue I have while living in this area.

Gary set up the appointment for the work the next day, WOW!!! that is service. He came in with his booties on, took a look at the job, needed to pull the toilet and reseal it with a new wax ring. He noted that the prior plumber did not use the correct wax ring, my wife remembers hearing the prior plumber mentioning it was not a perfect fit. Anyhow Gary cleaned up the mess, and re-seated the toilet, gave me a tip that I needed to replacing the flapper as well. And when we was done, the seam on the floor now looks great, did have some crappy seal, was not a good looking job. So Gary improved the looks a lot. THANKS. Snaked the tub/shower drain, and said I should not have the old fashion drain thingy put back, don't need it as I only use it as a shower, and ever need it as the tub, I got a rubber stopper that fits. So saved me a giant headache down the road if that piece would rust off and fall down the drain. Great job, good price for the work, Cleaned up, and left it ready for me to scrub clean. He is a good plumber, we talked about renovating issues for my old home ( 1956), and that the tile work was great, hard to beat the old plaster walls. Hire him, and be happy with his service.

Once I purchased the deal, I was not contacted. When I called the company a week later, scheduling was easy and they were responsive. I let the company know of my issues when scheduling. They called the day before to confirm and arrived right on time. They were friendly and seemed professional (A+ here), however I am not satisfied with the quality of the visit and handling of the deal. When inspecting the shower handle issue, where I had already informed them the previous homeowners tried to replace it themselves, he broke off the handle and water began going everywhere in the bathroom. While he ran downstairs to turn off the water main, water began leaking through the ceiling into my kitchen and the light fixtures. I don't think there was damage done, but it required cleanup after he left and the tub was also left dirty. No apology made, just blame placed on the previous homeowners. He was right they used a universal handle and it did not work properly, but I expect a professional plumber to take precautions to not cause an issue like this when diagnosing issues. The handle was broken and I had to go to Home Depot today to purchase a replacement part and installed it myself. Ultimately, not a single issue I asked to be addressed was fixed during the visit. A quote was provided for $700 to install a pressure regulator and install a new kitchen faucet. Or $500 just for the pressure regulator. Since parts needed to be ordered, we would need to schedule a future visit. He then told me the diagnosis work that had been done would normally be 'about' $200, but with the credit for the Angie's List deal, it would only cost me $100. So I am now out $159 for a call that took less than one hour and only yielded a broken shower handle and an estimate. When I asked about the deal, saying the $100 credit said it was for "repairs" and none had been performed, he let me know the $59 was just to drive to my house and he was already giving me a better deal than any coupons or anything. That might be the case, but then the deal needs to be clearer. However, I then read a review from 4/26/2016 saying that the company came out and provided a free estimate. I do not enjoy the opportunity to leave a negative review, especially for folks that are friendly and I can tell work hard to make a living. However, this situation had a number of issues, namely the way the shower handle situation was handled and the concerns on the pricing. After thinking on it for a few hours today, I decided I needed to share my experience.

There was a leak under the sink. I'd have fixed it myself, but that was not another chore I needed, with our closing on Friday. I called Tuesday. The doctor arrived promptly on Thursday, and was in and out in a flash. We were out on Friday. Delighted. The deal included a $100 credit.

The job went very well and we are pleased with results. The faucet in the powder room took longer than expected because the sink is on a pedestal. Usually with these types of sinks they need to be removed from wall. Gary was able to install the faucet without completely removing from the wall by sliding the bottom out. Although the job took longer and was a bit more difficult than was expected Gary stayed true to his estimate that he gave me over the phone. After the job was completed and Gary was on his way heading to his next call I realized that the drain stopper in the powder room sink was not functioning properly. I called Gary and he turned around right then and there and came right back to see what the issue was. Unfortunately, after spending some more time with adjusting the drain it would still not hold water in the basin as the drain stopper it self is defective and would require a full replacement. Just want to add a final note....I had called a good four to five different plumbers in the area before selecting "The Pipe Doctor Plumbing Service" and received all kinds of responses and estimates. What I liked about Gary from the beginning was his honesty and straight forwardness on what the job would entail. Thank you!!

I was vet pleased with the service. He called and gave me a heads that he was on his way. When he looked at the ceiling he suggested looking at the bathrooms upstairs before cutting into the drywall. We had already checked the upstairs but he said it's worth it to do again. Luckily we did and he found the source of the leak was a toilet and resolved the problem ver quickly!

Gary did a great job fixing a relatively small issue in our home. He was prompt and handled the job quickly and efficiently. He even put on shoe covers every time he entered the house without being asked. He was happy to walk us through the work that was needed so we knew exactly what the issue was and how it was being fixed, and the price was very reasonable as well. We wouldn't hesitate to call him again if we need a plumber in the future.

Gary was very professional and up front honest. The only thing I would like to point out whether its angie's list mistake or provider listing, the service they are selling needs to be pointed out clearly. For example, I purchased gas water tank replacement for $950 but was told that is not for the type of tank I have and so I need to pay additional $1050 (so basically it was $2000); still I'm seeing providers are selling same type of tank and do not see the listing is updated. Angie's list should take care of these type of listing as quoting for something little price then was told higher price (which many of customers like me do not know the different type of tanks out there); in that perspective I'm disappointed but the service was done very well.

Everything went well. Water heater broke on a Tuesday evening and Gary was there first thing Wednesday morning. He disconnected and removed the broken tank, cleaned the area up, and replaced it with a new, more efficient heater. He answered all of my questions and provided me with some useful tips. The work was completed on time and as intended. In addition, I was impressed by the facts that he is a Master Plumber and does all his own work. It was clear to me that Gary takes great pride in both his profession and the quality of his work. Would definitely use again.

Gary responded to my call quickly and came the next day. He educated me about gas leaks and how, depending on location, can vary ($$). I was fortunate that the location of the gas leak was not a 'major' job affecting the whole house. He was prompt, polite, professional and I plan on calling on him again if I need a plumber at my new house.

Provider very responsive, called to make appointment the very next day after I purchased the deal. Very courteous. Arrived punctually, diagnosed problem (wobbly kitchen faucet), performed repair. Very tidy, wore shoe covers without being asked to do so, very pleasant experience.

In the past I've called plumbers and felt like I got taken to the cleaners. The Pipe Doctor was a welcome relief from my past plumber experiences! Gary was very responsive, calling and emailing me. He showed up on time and was great at looking at both my issues. He was up front about the costs and what he would recommend. Once I decided what to do, he was quick and professional in installing the new valves. He also went the extra mile to check out our faulty dishwasher to see if there were any leaks from the line going into the dishwasher to help me make an educated decision on the need for a new dishwasher or not. I would highly recommend Gary and will most certainly call him again going forward with any of my plumbing issues. A+ all around.

Gary of PIPE DOCTOR Plumbing & Drain contacted me in response to an online request for a Water Heater leak / possible replacement estimate. Gary did not charge for an estimate. When he called me, we discussed what I thought the issue was with the water heater. He had me take pictures of the old water heater, surrounding floor, and probable work area with my cell phone and send them to him. From the pictures, Gary diagnosed the problem and provided an estimate (of cost and time to install) on the phone. He called the evening before the scheduled appointment to confirm the arrival time. Gary gave me an 8-9 am arrival window; he arrived at 8:15am. He was neat, clean, polite. He put 'booties' on over his shoes to walk thru the house. He surveyed the work area and recommended some other small adjustments (new shutoff valve, etc). His verbal estimate and cost of the work required was 100% accurate! Even in a work area that Gary deemed 'pretty good' - easy access to water and gas lines; plenty of space to maneuver the water heater(s), Gary completed the entire job in approximately 2 hours! Cleanup was as professional as the rest of the WH installation. Gary even provided extended parts and labor warranties! Very professional! Note: If you can, you should pay small businessmen via check (remember those?). 3-7% credit card processing fee is A LOT.

First, when I called, Gary was courteous, asked questions about my problem and gave me advice on what I should do until he could get to my house. The pipe stem coming out of the wall and connecting to the valve for the toilet was leaking so only turning off the water to the house would stop the leak. Even though it was late in the day when I called, he still tried to see if he could get out that evening. Unfortunately, that didn't work but he scheduled an appointment for the following day and he was kind enough to commit to working around my schedule. He told me that he would give me about an hour notice if he could make it earlier. He called in the morning and said he had an opening and could come earlier if we could accommodate the change in time. Anxious to get our water back on, my wife hustled home and he arrive almost to the minute of when he said he would be at our house. Very professional; fixed the problem quickly and all things considered charged us a very reasonable amount. I would most strongly recommend Pipe Doctor to anyone who needs a good honest plumber that will treat your house like his own. Finally, I should note that before calling Pipe Doctor, I called two other places (listed on Angies List) and they told me they could not make an appointment for 2-3 days. We just couldn't live with emptying buckets and turning the water off and on to take a shower and use the bathrooms for that long. I think Gary sensed our frustration and did what he could to get to us as soon as possible. Definitely a first class company - very responsive.

Can't say enough good things about Gary. Prompt, professional, willing to explain what needed to be done, give options, and made sure the job was done right the first time. This was only the latest of several jobs we have used him for, and we've been pleased every time. He restores your faith in the service sector.

I was referred to The Pipe Doctor by a coworker. I received a quote and then did some comparison shopping. This was the best price still so I booked an appointment. It was an awesome job. We handled all of the details initially over text which was great for me. He quoted me a price after I sent some pics and he held to that quote exactly. On the morning of the installation, he showed up on time ready to go. He was very professional and courteous. He treated my home with respect throughout the whole procedure. During the installation, he educated me on what he was doing and why. He really provided me with some invaluable lessons from his experience. He worked quickly removing the old heater and adding in the new heater. The installer was an all around class act. By the time the install was over, he had shown me how to operate the new equipment and some dos and don'ts. It was really about 2 hours altogether to complete this job. I would definitely call him first on any other plumbing needs. It was good to work with someone who had local ties and took pride in their work.

Gary was highly responsive and provided great service at a very fair price. I had contacted the Pipe Doctor early in the morning and Gary was out to my house by that afternoon. He had to cut a small access panel in the drywall to gain access to the lines. He communicated with me the entire time and answered all my questions. Gary cleaned the site after performing the replacement and got the entire job done in about an hour or so. The Pipe Doctor Plumbing and Gary are now my new go to for all my plumbing needs. They were very professional and provided top notch service and work at a great price.

Gary is a master plumber and he does excellent work at a very fair and affordable price. I was directed to use Home Depot and their installation services, but they did not hold to their promise with their arrival time, which was scheduled on Saturday. So I called The Pipe Doctor Monday morning at 9:30 and Gary came within 2 hours with a heating tank and had hauled the old one and installed our new one in under 3 hours. He is personable, patient, and will explain a variety of options--I recommend him highly and really appreciate Angie's list as it saved me $300 vs. the other options I explored.

Gary Kurucz and Pipe Doctor Plumbing Services, LLC were a pleasure to work with. The work was performed on time, expeditiously, and in a highly professional manner. The old hot water heater was taken away by Mr. Kurucz, necessary County permits were obtained by Mr. Kurucz, and the FFX County inspection of the new gas hot water heater that he scheduled following the work was conducted and highly favorable Gary is extremely courteous, and a Master Plumber in every aspect of his work. He leaves his work areas spotless, always is on time, and confirms his arrival time 30-45 minutes prior to arriving at our home.
