We could not be happier with the job Stoneman Construction and Landscaping did for us and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to install a patio, retaining wall, brick walkways, or brick stairs. Let us start by saying that we are very particular people and we are SO pleased with the work Stoneman has done for us. And to make it even more exciting, we did not know exactly what we wanted when requesting for quotes. In general, we wanted brick walkways connecting our front door to the sidewalk and to our driveway, a planter box in our front yard, and a patio in our side and back yards. But as far as design - we were at a loss. Alberto, Evelyn, and their team took our limited knowledge and easily filled in the gaps. The mid-range of three quotes we got, Stoneman's Alberto and Evelyn put us immediately at ease. He had a catalogue handy for us to see the types of pavers he recommended. As we did more research, we sent photos of a herringbone brick pattern for the walkways, patio/retaining wall styles, and timber boxes to finalize our contract. Evelyn always responded very quickly to our emails. Alberto gave us plenty of notice that we would need to wait about a month or so to get started. When it was time to begin construction, Alberto showed up with our photos in hand, and the Stoneman team was efficient and professional. It was a huge project with lots of moving pieces and they finished 95% of it in 5 days. At one point we didn't love the width of a step and asked for it to be widened. The widened step was done within a couple of hours and looks perfect. We had a few punch list items for them to come back and take care of, which they did timely with no need for followup. After we'd done the final walkthrough, told them how much we'd love it, and paid the final installment, we noticed a small gap after some dirt had settled. Alberto came back himself to make it right. Simply put, Stoneman delivered above and beyond what we expected. Alberto and his team patiently worked with our requests within reason. The final product is beautiful and added great value to our house and life. Thank you, Stoneman, Alberto, Evelyn, and your team!

Work went excellently and turned out beautifully. Crew was careful, methodical and clean. They were timely and only broke for lunch or supplies. Mr. Alberto (owner) and Ms. Evelyn were extremely responsive and on top of things the whole time.

Fantastic, from start to finish. Excellent price with beautiful quality and fast, professional construction. They were always on time - even arriving early, and completed the job a day ahead of schedule. Alberto was always immediately responsive and made adjustments to the project as it went along. We ended up with a wall that exceeded our expectations and represents tremendous value for money. As a result, our neighbors hired them to replace a retaining wall. I can't say enough positive things about Stoneman.

Stoneman Landscaping was fantastic. I got quotes from five different contractors. The other four contractors kept telling me that certain parts of the job were going to be overly difficult and prohibitively expensive and priced out different, cheaper options. The folks at Stoneman came in, listened to what I wanted, and sent me a quote that beat everyone else’s prices by a good margin. I was a little nervous that maybe they’d cut corners but I kept asking questions and they kept answering them to my satisfaction so I went with them. They finished my project in two days. They built a 35-foot privacy fence along the back of my property, a 12x12 cement patio in the backyard, laid sod down on a 35x35 area, and repaired a slate retaining wall that fell into disrepair several years after a local, reputable landscaping company put it up. They did fantastic job! Quality construction all around with no corners cut. There were also an incredibly professional organization. The other contractors were all late to come by for estimates, took a while to get quotes back, etc. Stoneman was at my house promptly at the time agreed upon, got me a quote within a couple of days, didn’t complain when I asked for more time before I made a position, and had a team at my house less than two weeks after I signed the contract. I am very happy that I went with Stoneman and I’ve already recommended them to all of my friends. I'm including before, during, and after shots of their work.

We had 2 retaining walls that needed to be refaced and capped. We also had the space in front of one of the walls that needed to be hardscaped. Stoneman came in and made it look even better than I imagined!

Stoneman Landscaping just completed a re-build of our driveway retaining walls, sidewalks, front and side steps and landing and we are pleased with both the excellent workmanship and results. After finally scheduling an estimate and waiting for stones to arrive, the work was quickly and efficiently performed. The outcome is beautiful! While expensive, the workmanship is excellent!

We are so happy with the work Alberto and his crew did on our front yard. I reached out already having a vision of what I wanted - a hardscape with a retaining wall and pebble. Alberto was extremely accommodating and provided me with different choices to create my vision. He was very patient with all of my back and forth questions. The end result turned out even better than I could have imagined. The crew was punctual, respectful and extremely hard working. We will definitely be using Stoneman for any future landscaping needs.

I have a beautiful home thanks to StoneMan guys! I will sit at my desk (stare out the window) at times and admire the work and details. I also notice those who walk by or drive stare at our home and I am pretty sure its because of the nice layout of our yard. Our parties have become stress free with our new deck and patio. Night festivities are what our family looks forward to. The attention to detail is amazing.

Evelyn and Alberto Portillo were extremely flexible and patient with scheduling the consultation and services. Correspondence was always quick (within a day) and thorough. I had several consultations with other companies but Alberto stood out as he was willing to meet as many of our needs as possible within our budget. He suggested we repair the walkway versus other companies who suggested a costly new one. He also selected the best privacy bush, height and quantity based on my budget. No other company was willing to adapt to my needs in that way! With a little compromise, we got everything we wanted. Alberto and his crew were also fast, professional and very polite. They don't take digital payment but two installments by check worked fine. I can't believe how great everything looks. My husband said, "It feels like we live in a resort"! And from the pics below, you'll see my dog loved the outcome too. I would hire Stoneman Landscaping again without hesitation. No need to scroll further. Book Stoneman! You won't be disappointed!

We cannot be any happier with the results. We initially wanted yard work but at the moment they were not available . The staff was kind enough to show interest in possible ideas to rejuvenate our yard. We decided on a paver patio and horseshoe driveway ! So glad we had open minds. They were flexible to our needs which made everything so much better. They are really professional and efficient.

It went poorly. Alberto came out for the estimate and talked a good game, and eventually we signed a contract. Red Flag 1: On the day of work, he showed up not with smooth patio bricks but rough, prickly construction bricks. Red Flag 2: He stuck around for about ten minutes, just long enough to give some instructions to the day laborers, then we never saw him again until the workers were done. Red Flag 3: I consistently told Alberto (during the initial survey, during the material selection, and when he showed up with the workers) that my top priority was having a strong patio that will still be around in 20 years. So when he showed up with the workers, we began talking brick laying pattern (two across, two up/down, or herringbone). I told him that I liked the herringbone better, but the workers told him "el otro es más fácil." Not knowing that I"m fluent in Spanish, he translated dishonestly, telling me "they said the other way is stronger." I should have stopped the work there, but they'd already removed my deck and had a $3500 deposit. The results were disappointing. The brick lines are so uneven, they look like the workers laid them when they were drunk. The spacing between the bricks is uneven throughout. At some points, there's a finger width between the bricks; at others, they're flush against each other. After a big rainstorm a week or so later, the mortar between the bricks washed away. We called Alberto back out; he swept some polymeric sand between the cracks, then squirted the patio with a hose. Within a week, the polymeric sand had washed away. Within six months, the patio looked like it does in the photos. We tried scheduling them to come out and fix it, but they were so slow in their response that we ended up hiring someone else to fix it.

The entire job was done quickly and was professional in every aspect. This was the second time I have used Stoneman and they did not disappoint.

We started off on the wrong foot due to lack of communications on both sides. After the work was completed Alberto came out to inspect the job, we agreed that the work that had been completed was done very well. However it was not the complete job. Alberto sent his team back and the finished product was Excellent! We felt that we had gotten value for our money. The Stoneman Crew was hardworking and respectful of our property. At the end of each day they cleaned up the site. We would hire Stoneman Construction again and we would recommend them to neighbors, family and friends.

The work was great - I'm very happy with the landscaping and detailed cleaning.

After we set up the appintment a representative came out right away and was so very curtious! Measurements were taken and an estimate was given right then and there! We were really happy with the customer service!

Stoneman has done several projects for me over the past couple of years and I have found them to be very personable and professional. They have installed stone steps going down the side of the house, stone retaining walls around the back of the property, and most recently filled in a spot between the driveway, house and front porch. They also lined my sidewalk and the length of the driveway. I am waiting until spring and then they will line the other side of my driveway. They are easyto work with and very accommodating and will go the extra mile to make sure you are pleased. Prices are reasonable and the quality of work is excellent - I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Did good work. Very nice front office folks but some communication issues with workers as they did not always show up on scheduled day. Price was a bit high in our opinion.

We bought new home which had a large backyard that was mostly unlandscaped trees and leaves. Before we let our small kids play in that area, we had Stone Man completely clear out the decades of fallen leaves, a large dead tree, and a ton of weeds and saplings to be sure there wasn't anything hiding under all the brush. Stone Man did a great job and our yard looked Really nice! They were thorough, professional, and quick.
