Estimator arrived on time. I asked for separate estimates - one for flat roof over porch and one for the pitched shingled house roof. Estimates came in the next day. I learned that shingled roof was still in good shape and that I could wait 2-4 years for its replacement. Both of Springfield Roofing estimates were slightly lower than another company gave (and the other company did not inform me that one roof could wait on replacement) and it took a couple of calls before that other company's estimator actually got the estimates to me. Springfield Roofing was easy to work with and I appreciated their informing that one roof could wait a little bit for replacement. The new flat roof and gutters are great and the people were good to work with. They also replaced some rotted wood. I will call them in 2 years to check the shingled roof and if it's time for replacement, will hire them. And in the meantime, no water dripping onto my head or front steps from the porch roof and gutters!

I received unsatisfactory service from Roofer911 (See my review). Then, I wised up and found Springfield Roofer on Angie's list (which I should have done in the first place). Everyone from Springfield Roofer was knowledgeable, helpful, and professional--from the initial inspection, to the lady in the office, to the roofers themselves. I would use them again in a heartbeat--I rate them outstanding in all areas. In case there is any doubt--THIS IS A RAVE REVIEW!.

They are very responsive and provide economic alternatives as well. A top-notch company that we very strongly can recommend. We will definitely use them again if necessary. Their work is high-quality.

Quite frankly I chose Springfield roofing because of the other 3 companies I called, 2 were too busy and the other never responded to my voice mail and doesn't have a web site. The estimator came right on time when I scheduled that appointment. When I accepted the contract I informed the estimator that I wanted the work done on a Friday so I could be home. I like to observe work being done on my home so I can gauge the quality and make sure the contractor cleans up. This morning (Friday) I had a voice mail from the company stating the work had been completed and asking if they should charge my credit card for the balance (I had to pay 1/3 up front with the signed contract). Needless to say this was quite a surprise since I had previously been informed they had to put me on the schedule and would let me know a date they would do the repairs. If my wife had been home she probably would have assumed someone was trying to break in and would have called the police. The repairs seem to be okay but I'll update this review if anything goes wrong. I did find two nails immediately in front of my garage which probably would have caused a flat tire if I hadn't found them.

Good to find an honest company. I will use them when I DO need a new roof.

The estimator that came out seemed really knowledgeable about roofing - you could tell he's been in the business for decades. He's not the schmoozy salesman type, which was nice. He found some issues on my roof that other estimators had missed. Of the three roofing companies I spoke to, I felt most confident in his advice and know that their quality was probably the highest. However, their price was also the highest. Besides the price, they also did not return my email requesting copies of the pictures that were taken and asking a few more questions. I could have tried harder for a response, but in the end, I went with another company that was more responsive, seemed like they would also do a good job, and was $850 cheaper.

Mike checked the second story eaves in a number of places and told me they were in good shape. Not rotting. And that I just needed to call a painter. Which will be a lot cheaper for me than replacement.

They arrived on the date promised and finished withing the two days they thought they would. They completely cleaned up after each day. Very professional. I have used other roofers in my work and their service was top notch. Highly recommend them to others.

The company responded promptly to my call, and a representative came the next day. Turns out the roof wasn't leaking--we need some masonry work done. I felt sorry for taking up the agent's time.

Went well. Excellent clean-up. Good communications on scheduling. Good followup on one issue after main job was done.

They came quick to give me a good estimate. The called me before came to my house, so I have enough time to leave office and got home, this is the most important to me. They did a very good job on the repair and they are very friendly.

They had a good price and came out much sooner than they originally estimated. Since all the work was done outside they didn't need us to be there so coming early was a bonus. The only thing I can think to complain about is that the workers parked their truck in the middle of our driveway instead of to the side so we weren't able to take our cars in while they were there. I am sure they would have moved it had we asked, but we just parked on the street until they left.

Developed a water leak into my house during the huge rainstorm in early June. Called four companies but all were swamped in the very short term. Asked them to call when they had a tech free. Only Springfield Roofing called back, and within a day, to tell me a tech would be out to look at the problem the next Monday. (They were still swamped from emergency calls.) A tech came on the appointed day, evaluated the problem, gave me an estimate, and returned the following week to do the repairs. His inspection was thorough, he showed me many pictures of the damaged roof sections, and he walked me through how he would do the repairs. He returned last week and did the repairs. Overall an excellent experience. Above all, I appreciated that Springfield did not forget me and actually followed through on their commitment to take care of me.

We have used Springfield Roofing several times over the last 12+ years for two different houses and have been very happy. They tell us what needs to be repaired and do not tell us we need a more expensive repair or replacement. We had them replace our roof on the first house and they have done a few repairs on our current house. We have never had to call them out to re-do any work. Their workers are prompt and clean-up after themselves before they leave. We highly recommend them.

I was pleased with the job that they did. Punctual, clean, and the replacement slate were a very good match for the original. There was a minor misunderstanding between us on whether or not sealing the whole ridge was included in the price quote or just bad spots, but jerry to his credit made it right at no extra cost to me. I will definitely be using springfield for my roofing needs in the future.

My house had holes where birds was getting into the attic, and the chimney needed to be repaired. Springfield Roofing Co. repaired both. The job was finished in one day. I forgot to get them to place a chimney cap on to the chimney and I called them back, but I was told that it would cost to much money to send their workers out to do it. I thought that this was an honest move on their part. I got a second company (a trapping company) to come out and check my attic, they placed the cap on the the chimney, and said that whoever repaired the holes under the gutter part and chimney did a great job, that may me feel very pleased.

It went well. Roof jobs are a nightmare. In the past I have had so many "qualified roofers" that cost me more money, headache and time. Go with a recommended roofer.

This project went very quickly. Before they arrived, I estimated what the project would cost and had a figure in my mind of what I was expecting to pay. Then I looked on Angie's List for recommendations and costs. Springfield Roofing jumped out for me. I checked with my daughter who had roofing work done on her house and she recommend I give Springfield Roofing a look. They came in a day or two after my initial call. Their price was well below what I thought it would be. They quoted better materials than were on the roof right now. They scheduled the replacement for later in the week. I was convinced that Springfield Roofing would do an excellent, cost effective job and I didn't look elsewhere for another quote. The company arrived exactly as they said they would. They worked quickly and were done in two days. It would have been one day, except there was a storm that made the workmen continuing to work unsafe. Before they daparted for the day, they made sure the attic was waterproof for the pending storm. On the second day, when they were finished, they cleaned up all their materials and made no damage of any kind to the exterior of the building and grounds. I am very pleased with the work and highly recommend them to anyone needing roof repair or replacement..

Springfield Roofing gave us an estimate for some minor repair work on our roof and gutters. They completed the work well and in a very timely fashion. They seemed honest and reliable. I would use them again if I had a roofing or gutter issue.

The people we bought our house from left us a rotten flat roof. We got a couple of quotes. They were by far the best price. They did a great job. This was in June of 2012. We liked them so much we asked them to check the rest of the roof and they told us that the flashing was terrible on our roof. We got 2 other opinions and every company said the exact same thing. Springfield roofing again had the best price. They are experienced, reasonable and provided a great service. They called to follow up on the work. I definitely recommend them.

I felt the price was reasonable. My husband was actually the one who contacted them and we appreciated how fast they returned our call and how quick they were able to get out and do the repairs. They did a great job.
