Springfield did a great job. They responded to my inquiry promptly. They provided an estimate within the prescribed time. They gave me a written estimate. They performed the job on schedule and within the quoted price.

During the heavy rains of last weekend, I was surprised to find water coming down through my bedroom ceiling. I immediately called Springfield Roofing, who had replaced my skylight a few years ago. My call was answered on the fourth ring, even though it was 10pm on Sunday night. I explained the situation and was told a job ticket would be submitted for the estimator, who would be in the office around 6:30am. When I hadn't heard anything by 9:30am, I called again and was put in touch with the estimator. He told me he would be at my house around noon, but actually showed up at 11:30am. He quickly assessed the situation and gave me an estimate. I put down a deposit and was told my work order would be submitted. He couldn't tell me exactly when the work would be done, because of the weather and the high volume of calls they had received. Two days later, a crew showed up around 9am and completed the repair within 20 minutes. There was more heavy rain last night and not a drop of water came through my bedroom ceiling.

Company rep Mike Bennett showed up on time, was professional and cordial, knew the structural and age details of my townhouse without inspection, photographed the work site, educated me on the roofing process and general industry and market factors, e-mailed both the repair and replacement estimates in a timely manner, and completed the work very quickly. Have already recommended SR to colleagues.

From the beginning I was very impressed with Springfield Roofing. When I called for an estimate it was acted upon immediately. The estimator, Dave Fudge, was on time for our appointment and went over the roof with me very thoroughly. He wrote up estimates for repairs around the skylights a second estimate to replace the entire roof. What impressed me most is that I was never pressured to go one way or the other. In the end I opted to replace the entire roof. When I asked for an upgrade on the shingles Dave came out with samples (once again, right on time) that we were able to see and select the one we liked best. Once the contract was signed Springfield Roofing had the material delivered the next day. The job took three days, just as promised and it was done in an incredibly neat fashion. The workers cleaned all areas so well you could barely tell any work had been done that day. The roof looks great and everything was cleaned up so well you can't even tell they were here.

Springfield Roofing was very timely in their scheduling, coming to do the estimate when promised. When they got up on our roof, they also noticed exterior issues with the roof. They advised us on these and provided us with the option of doing the work or not. We accepted their offer and also requested that they install gutter shields, which they did. We requested tinted skylights, which they did not have in stock. Again, they were very accurate in estimating the cost and schedule to obtain the type of skylights we requested. Their installation was scheduled and completed in a professional and timely manner.

The company responded immediately and a representative came the next day. After inspecting the roof, he said it was fine. But he also inspected the windows, which were installed in summer of 2007. He said the problem was with one window, took and photo of the faulty window and showed us where there are holes in the caulking. A different company had installed the windows.

The company representative listened to what we wanted to have done to our house and provided an estimate with alternatives for the different products that they could install. He did not try to sell us all of their services and he did not recommend products that were not applicable to the design of our house. The re-roofing crew took two days to remove and replace the roof. A week later, the siding crew took about a week to remove and install the siding including painting the trim. The debris was removed as the work was done. A window that was broken during the re-roofing was repaired and returned by Springfield Roofing. At no additional charge, a week after the project was completed and paid for, the siding crew came back at our request to adjust some details in the siding that we though looked incomplete.

Everything went well, they had the proper warranties (10-year labor and material), but they were $6,000 more than what we ended up paying for. Additionally, they required us to have an air conditioning person on standby while they installed the roof. The company we ended up with took care of all of that and gave us a much better price.

No muss no fuss. Springfield Roofing did exactly what they were supposed to do for a reasonable price. The sales staff was knowledgeable and helpful, everyone showed up when they said they would, and they did a great job. The roof looks great, and the house has been dry inside ever since.

Springfield was terrific from start to finish. They answered my numerous questions and used materials that I selected. They also performed the job in a little over 1 day. The final charge was exactly what was estimated.

I thought that they did a wonderful job and they fixed the leaks. They were very professional and on time. I would recommend them and rehire them for sure. There were no surprises that came up.

I liked the fact that Springfield Roofing arrived to my house on time to start the job according to plan. The job was done fairly decently. The price was a little more than what I wanted it to be however you pay for what you get and I think the quality I got was good. I would recommend them to others.

I would just like to say that they are an incredible roofing company. They were easy to get a hold of and were very nice people. They were prompt and the quality of the work was excellent for the cost. People looked at the roof and wanted to know who did it because it was really nicely done. Their estimate was the most reasonable estimate that I got from any company. It was the only company that I used from Angie s List that had A's in every category prior to me given them my rating.

Nearly Perfect. Professional team that kept us apprised of delivery and performed exactly as promised. Only disappointment is in a downspout detail. The downspout runner (the part on the ground to get water 5 feet away from the building) had to be installed an angle to avoid bushes. The installation crew cut the aluminum runner at an angle and caulked the joint to the downspout. I accepted this, but see now that the caulked joint won't last since some runner movement is inevitable. I've seen a $10 vinyl flexible connector that is ideal for this joint problem, and am a bit disappointed that they did not think of that. However, the fix is so minor that I will likely do the replacement myself.

Springfield roofing exceeded our expectations. They were courteous and conscientious. They showed up on time and when scheduled. They finished the project on time and within budget. The owner went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and restored my faith in contractors. The finished skylights look great and we are very pleased. I will hire them again for other projects on the house.

The person who did the estimate was very personable and the price was right. When it was time to do the work, though, they were not very good at communicating when they would arrive and what would be required of us in terms of clearing parking spaces in front of the house. This caused a delay in the start of the work and Springfield at one point threatened to pull out of our contract rather than problem-solve. While they were working (took 3 days plus one day delay due to rain), no one from the office was in contact with us; we only found out they were done when we asked! The men on site were accommodating and the work seems good, although water is still pooling on our flat roof. Overall, an up and down experience.

We had a great experience using Springfield. It took them a few days longer for them to get out to our house and give an estimate than some other companies, but for the same work, their estimate was half the price. They came out a week later and fixed the roof. Mike generously offered to bring along some extra slate to replace the missing shingles. We never saw the workers, we got home one evening and realized the roof was looking much better. There was no mess or any sign that any work had been done, other than a better looking roof with no crooked or missing shingles. We have since had heavy rain and there has been no sign of a leak whatsoever, and they did warranty the work for one year. We would definitely use them again.

John is the owner of Springfield Roofing. We have used this company before. Customer service always has been excellent. The estimate was right on target and the work was finished in one day. This company is highly recommended.

I had to call the company a couple of times, before they scheduled the appointment for the estimate. But this took place, after a period of the heavy rains in the DC metro area. I reported problems with a leaking skylight and the estimator quickly assessed the problem. I thought the price was high, but the location was tight and difficult to access. Once I signed the contract, the crew came while I was at work, did the job, and left the area like nothing had taken place. I was a bit skeptical at first, everything was so clean that I thought the work had not been performed. However, there were a couple or heavy rains and the skylight has not leaked. I will hire them again.

Called in November 2005 to get an estimate. Despite several calls, to date, May 2006, NO estimate has been received.

I THOUGHT THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB. THEY SHOWED DEVOTION FOR THE WORK THEY WERE DOING. YOU COULD TELL THEY TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR WORK. THEY WERE A BUNCH OF GREAT GUYS.
