Description of Work: We had minor storm damage to our roof from Hurricane Sandy. We had used Springfield Roofing before (when a tree fell on our house) and they were great. This time, they were even better. We called them, they sent a truck that took pictures, and then an estimate arrived via email. We signed the contract, paid the deposit, and then they came while we were at work, and fixed the roof. We didn't even know they were there, except that our roof was fixed! I trusted that they would do an excellent job, so my husband and I really appreciated their excellent, high quality work, professionalism, and responsiveness, once again. They took some of the stress away from having our home restored and that was greatly appreciated.

Description of Work: Put new roof on sunroom section of house which was leaking. Mike Bennett came out on timely basis and gave a detailed estimate of work and had a competitive price. I wanted work scheduled quickly and, although they were backlogged, they offered to put a tarp on roof if they couldn't get job done before hurricane. However, they came out shortly and completed job. Left our property very clean. Would highly recommend them

Description of Work: Because of Hurricane Irene and the heavy rains that followed for an entire week, my gutter ripped off the fascia board. I called Springfield Roofing and even though they had over 400 calls from hurricane damage, their estimator responded very quickly. They were able to get to me in 7 days, replace the fascia board, install a new gutter, cut holes for the large downspouts, and paint the fascia board. Work was completed in 2 hours and looks great. Even though this estimate was rather high, this company does good work and responds quickly to any emergency.

Description of Work: I have no idea about the quality of work performed by this company. I did send an email message with information regarding an estimate of roof repairs based on leakage. I waited 2 1/2 business days for a response. Then I called and indicated that I had not received a response to my email. The staff member looked it up and informed me that it was awaiting the review of an estimator. I then asked how long it would take for an estimator to review my email and contact me. There was no time frame provided for the estimator to address my email. I then asked how long after the estimator contacted me would an appointment be available? Answer: "Two to three weeks out." So I don't know when an estimator will be avialable to review my email but whenever that is, add two to theree weeks on to that unknown date. Never mind!

Description of Work: Gutter repair from winter show and slate roof single repair. I have used this company before. Always does a good job at a fair price.

Description of Work: We called them for a roof inspection after our neighbor's house burned down. We also had an issue with some interior drywall damage for which we could not find the cause. The inspector was flexible with his scheduling and was on time. He took a lot of pictures and spent time explaining and pointing out the issues that we had on our roof (not many-a worn vent over was the cause of the leak), some flashing work that the builders had done incorrectly, some gutter realignment and damage to our portico. Because we already knew about the damage to the portico (painter had found it the week before), he offered to quote the portico work separately. We ultimately decided to use our painter and his subs to repair the portico; however, that was based more on convenience and ability to schedule the work together. Springfield provided a professional quote within 2 days, and scheduled the work to be done within a week of our acceptance of their proposal. They arrived on time and completed the work on schedule with no surprises. Payment was 1/3rd up front and the balance upon completion. We paid with a credit card.

Description of Work: Springfield Roofing provided an estimate and, after we compared the estimate, completed the roofing. They sheathed our lower roofs in metal, and put a 50-year asphalt shingle on the upper story. They were prompt in answering our request for an estimate, thoroughly explained it to us and met our needs.

Description of Work: After calling several companies to get a quote on a roof repair for a section of roof over a covered patio, two responded. Prior to Springfield's rep coming out, an estimator from the first company told me that not only the section over the patio, but the entire roof needed to be replaced, even though it was not leaking. Springfield's rep said this was necessary because there was moss on some areas of the roof and that it would cost me more than $10,000.00 for the entire job. Subsequently, Mr. Hime, from Springfield Roofing came out, provided an estimate for the area where the leak had occurred, and when I asked him about the rest of the roof and the moss, he assured me that moss did not indicate any problem and that the remainder of my roof, which is a different type than that over the patio, has between five and seven years of use remaining. Though his quote was a few dollars more, I appreciated his honesty and decided to use his company. The installers did an excellent job.
