SOS Appliance Repair Do not go near HIM -- There is no them. I called this business for a Samsung Refrigerate repair. Technician He pulled the Evaporator cover from the Freezer without removing the freezer door. You MUST remove the freezer door and use 2 hands to do this work. Since he did not do that - pushing the cover back 2 parts fell and he took the parts with him. Told me he has unplugged the refrigerator and to plug it back in after a few hours (sometimes it resets and fixes itself) When I plugged the refrigerator back in - Error codes told me that the Fridge and freezer fans are not working ( E21 and E40 ) I opened the freezer door and realized that he had not pushed the evaporator cover in all the way -- He had not reattached the wire harness and since he did not Remove the freezer door he could not adjust the Cover properly and the 2 parts fell out because he did not use 2 hands ( as it is required ) that he did not know what to do with were not here. I got my service call money back $69.95 - And I have messaged him to bring back the parts he took. He said he will drop off what he took after 6 PM. He called after I emailed his office and said – you know what? I do not have your parts ( despite having told me that he had them and will bring them back.)

Don't use this company (doing business as "SOS Appliance Repair", "Dmv Glass Window & Door LLC", and possibly other names as well). They'll rip you off. I called them after experiencing an issue with my refrigerator's water dispenser. Simple enough. They were quick to respond and schedule a "diagnostic" visit for the same day. So far, so good. The technician arrived, spent about 5 minutes in our house, and barely looked at the refrigerator. He said it was "probably a defective part" and that he would research it further before calling us back with the cost and how he planned to proceed with the repairs. He then charged me $69.95, which he promised would go towards the final cost of repairs. Two and a half months later, 5 calls, countless time and effort spent tracking them down, no news on the "defective" part (and nothing further from the technician). The company has been completely unhelpful. I asked for my money back, but they said the "diagnostic" visit was non-refundable. I asked for the final diagnosis, i.e., what was wrong with my refrigerator, which part was needed, etc., they had no answer. Absolutely unacceptable. They took my money, made no effort to repair my appliance, and are now refusing to issue me a refund. Searching online, you'll find several other stories mirroring my own, i.e., a diagnostic visit or "consultation" and then no follow up, and no refund. Beware.

While they arrived on time as planned, and diagnosed the problem (bad motor assembly), they never followed up with pricing to replace/repair. I called the office twice and they kept saying they didn’t have the info from the warehouse. After a week, I called another company and had the issues resolved in 2 days. The $85 fee to come out would have applied to the repair, but sadly I didn’t have that option since they never followed through. It was a total waste.

Was quick to diagnosis that it was the tenant's user error. Was quick and provided great solutions to improve performance.

When the technician came out he looked at the dishwasher and said it is the mother board. He said it would be several days to maybe a week before I would receive an estimate. When he was looking at the dishwasher he drilled through the door and out to the front panel. He did not apologize, or even acknowledge that he did it. I asked him about the hole and his response was to hammer the projecting metal and made a slight indention to that area of the door. After learning about what the cost would be for the repair, I decided to buy a new dishwasher. Had he not drilled the hole I probably would have had the board replaced. I was appalled that he didn't apologize or offer to drop the service call fee or replace the panel.

Not well. After 3 visits, the unit is in the same condition as it was prior to their visit. The first visit I was told the the freon was too low, then too high and it would cost 249 to repair. I agreed and then was told that it was the compressor at a cost of $1100.00. After the initial shock, I told them to order it. After a while I called to follow up and no part was ordered. The part finally came in and after the third visit, the machine still does not work. The tech then told me that it may be the filter. I set up an appointment with another company to deal with this. I cannot keep taking time off from work to deal with this. I expect a concise diagnosis and not a "lets'-throw-baloney-on-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks approach. This has been going on since the 1st visit September 28th. Enough is enough. Are they the right for you? You be the judge. They weren't right for me. You cannot make this stuff up.

Lack of communication/follow-up. October 6 - The refrigerator stopped cooling, and I called the company, which sent a technician out that afternoon. His diagnosis was that the condenser fan was not running; he cleaned the unit and got the fan running. However, the refrigerator did not cool after this intervention, and the technician did not stay to ensure that the fridge was cooling. October 10 - The same technician returned and diagnosed a broken condenser fan motor. He indicated this piece needed to be ordered, and that he would call the following day with more detail. October 11 - No follow-up call ever came. October 12 - The technician indicated there was no response from the local warehouse, and he needed to contact Subzero directly to order the motor. The shipment would take 2-3 business days. October 17 - No response. I contacted the company, which contacted the technician, who reported that the Subzero factory had indicated five (5) business days for the shipment - not 2-3 days. October 23 - Still no communication from either the company or the technician.

The technician was condescending, could not resolve the problem, and left the situation WORSE than it was before he arrived.

SOS Appliance Repair did an excellent job repairing my refrigerator that was leaking. It was easy to schedule the appointment over the phone. Rouf showed up and did a through assessment of the refrigerator and determined that filter housing unit needed to be replaced. Also the water tube to the ice maker was broken and needed to be replaced. Rouf ordered the parts and came back to do the repair. Very professional. I would hire them again.

The whole process to roughly 24-36 hrs., this wasn't a rush job but we needed it done over a weekend. Which made it easier for someone to be home, service technician explained the the drain line was probably clogged and he was 100% correct. He drained the unit, and cleaned the drain line and found the problem. I used a Angie's List Coupon for a discount

My first conversation with SOS appliance repair, began with them seeming agitated with me and saying that I was "mumbling ". I needed my washer repaired and they had good reviews, so I decided to go with them anyway. I had asked them to arrive after 4 the next day and they said they would try. They next day they did do as I had requested and arrived after 4. He was there for about 30 min and was requesting $60, saying he was done and a couple parts needed to be replaced; said he would call the next day with prices and if I went with them, they would take the $60 out of the price. The next day at around 4:30, I hadn't received a call, so I called. They appeared upset that I had called, saying that they were about to call, but since I called, that they weren't given that opportunity (OoooKkk....?????). They gave me a price of $429 to have the washer repaired. When I asked for a breakdown of the price, they said they didn't do that. When I asked why, he then gave me a price of $229 for parts and $200 for labor. He then continued to say that my request was unusual, and that I was the first person to ever ask for a breakdown (I have a hard time believing this, I just wanted to know what I was paying for) and that they never do breakdowns. The prices were high, and I was about to just buy a new washer. I decided to check online for replacement parts and found the whirlpool original parts new, on a major retail website, for $60 total, with free shipping to arrive the next day. I bought the parts, installed the the next day; my washer is now fully functioning. SOS appliance repair spoke to me with a condescending attitude and took advantage of me with the pricing. I am very disappointed; needless to say I will not be in listing in their services, nor be recommending them to anyone.

They said they would get back in touch with us with information on how much the module would cost to replace. To date, about a month on, they have not gotten in contact. More is the pity as the money spent on the initial visit was to be applied to the repair.

Prompt. Professional. Would hire again.

SOS responded promptly with appointment to assess problem. Had to order part so it took a couple days for installation but that's to be expected. Returned as soon as they had part in hand.

They arrived and removed the knife that was stuck to the heating coil.

Mohammed, the SOS repairman, quickly diagnosed what was causing the problem and took care of it. Will call this company the next time I need an appliance repair!

I called for service in the morning and a technician came at the end of the day to look at it. I don't think he knew this Samsung model very well, because he asked for my help in using the digital display control panel to try to diagnose the problem, but the diagnosis function wasn't working. He suggested it was probably low on coolant. He came back the next day and added freon coolant to the freezer. The charge was $225, but he accepted a $50 coupon from Angie's List so the final charge was $175. The coolant injection helped the freezer work again, but only for about a month. He did not try to fix the broken digital display panel. Over the past two weeks the freezer has slowly stopped cooling again. I assume there is a coolant leak, something the technician did not check for. I am going to call a certified Samsung repairman this time.

Raouf from SOS Appliance Repair and Service was excellent at trouble-shooting the problem and clearly explaining how the repair could be handled, the timing, and the costs involved. His diagnosis was perfect as after he installed the starter kit (with a surge protector) the refrigerator now works like a charm. I did not think the refrigerator could be rescued but Raouf solved it, and in a matter of an hour. He also provided excellent advice that I should try to keep the refrigerator as long as possible, as apparently new refrigerators have a tendency to break down and are more expensive to fix. I would definitely hire SOS again and would specifically request Raouf.

Very well. i thought I'd have to get new appliances but both are working perfectly now. I watched the repairman work and he was very careful and thorough. Plus, he came out on 12/31 and did not charge extra for "holiday" hours.

I got a same day appointment and the technician showed up exactly when promised. The work was done efficiently and well. The technician was pleasant and knowledgeable. I would turn to them again for future work.

Fix went well and the washer/dryer combo is working. Prices for the part were heavily inflated compared to what was listed on the manufacture website (essentially $100 premium). Worked with the technician to find a middle ground.

I scheduled an appointment to have my washing machine serviced after smoke became a regular part of washes. The technician removed some panels, looked around, then told me that the transmission was shot and that the cost to repair would exceed the cost of a new one. He did tell me that I could continue using the washer, as the drum was simply creating friction with the rubber lining, which was causing the smoke. He told me that I could use a low spin speed to elongate the life and save for a new washer. No sooner had he left, when I ran a load on a low spin cycle as instructed, when the washer began leaking all over the floor, which had never happened before.
