Had to schedule a few weeks in advance. Office called the day prior to confirm. Tech arrived on time. No issues. Courteous / professional. Left a few recommendations for follow-up procedures. No pressure tactics. Will use again.

Very professional from start to finish. Showed up on time, worked efficiently, cleaned up after service, told me everything he was doing, gave me full report on condition of chimney and firebox. Will use him again this fall.

It went well although I was surprised after the work was done because before the work was done the tech said the cost would be $150.00 but after work was done he added the additional cost of the $99.00 service fee for the damper issue. Which increased price to approx $261.00 with tax.

We had multiple bids and they had the best pricing. Overall, I thought they did a good job and would use them again in the future. In terms of responsiveness, they were delayed in getting back to us. But when they actually did the work, they were prompt.

They gave me an appointment exactly when I wanted it. They called the day before to confirm and showed up right on time; in fact, they called and asked if they could come early, which worked fine. They were careful about putting down tarps/cloths to contain the soot, and so they didn't walk on any carpeting. They gave me extra information about the chimney and its use with gas, that I will find helpful. Friendly and knowledgeable and fast.

Came on day and cleaned on fireplace. Gave us an estimate for lining the other. Came back the next week as scheduled and did the job over a two day period. Totally professional. Andy the owner lovers to talk about fireplaces and chimney's and is very knowledgeable.

The two people arrived on time and performed their work in a very professional manner. I have an Oriental rug in the living room and they were very careful to cover the work area with a sheet and did an excellent job of cleaned up after the job. They gave me an honest opinion of my fireplace's condition and, unlike other companies I had worked with inthe past, did not try and get me to believe I had to have thousands of dollars of work done on my existing chimney. Yes, it is true that it was built in the 40's, but that does not mean that I need a complete overhaul because it does not look like a 2012 chimney. I appreciated their knowledge and candor. They also filled a large gap in the chimney with special cement for no additional charge. I was very pleased with the service and plan on calling them again for my next service/inspection.

Though they were booked and couldn't do the work by the time we were to leave for the holidays, the owner was extremely helpful in pointing out other reputable contractors and in helping me understand how/when/why chimney relining is necessary, what the process entails and what the average cost is. He certainly didn't have to do this, given his busy schedule, but his advice helped us save about $1100 on the work that we eventually did. Kindness goes a long way and I would call him again if we need future work.

Scheduled an inspection/chimney sweep. Did not require a cleaning, but company suggested both chimneys be lined, which we had considered in the past. Inspection fee was applied as a credit, as well as a reduction for both chimneys lined at same time. Family run/operated business with decades of knowledge and clean, professional work. Always returned calls and offered recommendations and information regarding the work and our wood stove inserts. Will definitely hire them again.

Arrived w/i 5 minutes of scheduled appointment and got right to work. After inspecting he gave me a general report that aside from a few minor issues i was in good shape. He gave me a gentle up sale on a stronger replacement cap but dropped it when I said no thanks. He repaired a small brick crack at no extra cost and suggested a quick fix/ preventative redress for the attic vent screen (apply black primer paint to prevent rust and deterioration that would allow animals in). He was in and out quickly with no mess or fuss. Tried the fireplace out the next night. Much improved.

I thought I had a leak in the chimney following Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. I called Rooftop Chimney Sweeps for an appointment and they were there a few days later, not weeks like another company told me I'd have to wait. They checked everything out and didn't find a problem but recommended replacement of the chimney cap ($65). He even told us we didn't need to do it right away. No pressure, no tricks or intimidation tactics to get us to buy work we didn't need. Just honest, professional, quality service. Wow! All companies should be good.

Alex and Jack called to let us know that they were running 15minutes behind. They put drapes down on the hardwood when they came into the house and did the cleaning. They were both very professional and gave specific recommendations. Alex took time to explain and answer questions.

Right on time and very quick, efficient in completing the work. Straightforward chimney cleaning job, and Tristan and his co-worker were professional and very neat throughout the process. Strongly recommended.

They were good. It is a family business. They were very responsive. The work was clean and nobody had to come into the house to check anything. I would recommend them. I really don?t know about the pricing because I didn?t do any comparison shopping. When it comes to the quality, it is not really something that you can actually see, but it seems fine.

Andy, Tristan and John were the consumate professionals. Smart, responsive, creative, and enjoyable to have around. They resolved some very tough problems with our ancient, huge and non-functional fireplace and out-of-code boiler venting system. They kept us informed as they designed a strategy to solve the various problems, kept to the schedule, and the quality of their workmanship is ideal. It was a real pleasure working with these guys. They'll be invited back to clean and maintain their handiwork in my home for as long as they're in business.

Andy was a real professional who knows chimneys and fireplaces inside and out, and is upfront about what work is involved and what the available options are. I'd use Rooftop again in a second.

Excellent service, very curtious, and well informed. After inspecting one of our chimneys they told us it didn't require cleaning - now that's what I call honest work!
