These are great agents and the company has been around for decades. I have used them several times.

I used Tyler Shelton to list my home. My intention was to sell my house in Suffolk, Virginia and move BACK to Texas. I stayed in AirBnBs in Dallas/Fort Worth for 2 months (April 8 - June 10) while my house in Suffolk was on the market. There were several execution fumbles by Tyler that caused me to withdraw the listing. Nevertheless, I'm trying to move on, but before I do there are some outstanding issues and I'm not getting any satisfaction from Tyler Shelton. 1) He scratched my furniture and isn't taking responsibility for it. 2) He gave key access to my house to his handyman to do some work. The two of them were in my home as I drove off to Texas. The handyman was given Tyler's lockbox access to my home at other times. The work wasn't properly completed. I didn't know that, but since part of Tyler Shelton's sales pitch is his former experience as a contractor, I assumed he would verify the work was done to at least the satisfaction of a prospective buyer. When he told me the work was done, I paid the handyman he brought to the table. "I can't expect the handyman to wait until I return to be paid in full. He's running a businees, not a charity. Tyler says the work looks good. He apparently works with this guy a lot, and Tyler wants to sell the house, too," I thought. So I paid the handyman the remaining balance. I felt a gentleman's obligation to do so. This is what I came home to: [*** Link removed ***] The handyman presented to me wants to charge me more to finish the work nobody should be proud of, and he even blames me for it looking the way it does. Tyler Shelton is hands off. His lack of execution with these two items is indicative of his execution that couldn't get me one offer to consider in 60 days during what was mostly a sellers' market, even in Virginia. I need help resolving these two things, so I can move on. Tyler has been non responsive to slow in response to this, and the broker has let me down. I interviewed 8 agents to choose Tyler. I gave him an edge because he was part of the Dave Ramsey Endorsed Local Provider (ELP) program. Tyler likely pays them to be part of that program, so I'm unlikely to ever use the Ramsey ELP program again for Real Estate, and I will never use Tyler or ReMax Allegiance again. Because of Tyler and ReMax Allegiance, I missed out on the hottest sellers' market in my lifetime and probably theirs, too.

The ease and speed of the sale of my home exceeded my expectations. Pete's knowledgeable and confident presentation convinced me to sell my house in cold December rather than March as I originally intended. I followed his advice to have a pre-home inspection to identify potential repair issues, and to complete all needed repairs. After 30 days in the slow winter market, I agreed with Pete's advice to significantly lower the original sale price to what prospective buyers were currently seeking. I was pleased and gratified to receive two solid offers within two weeks, and I accepted the best one. The settlement was smoothly completed within forty-five days. I heartily recommend Pete Schlossberg for his practical and extensive knowledge of the real estate marked, his friendly people skills, and his ability to deliver on his commitments.
Description of Work: Aside from the expected realtor duties that he performed excellently, Pete Schlossberg gave me practical advice and oversaw all needed repairs in my absence.. He instilled confidence and peace of mind by keeping me timely informed.
