NOVA Junk called me back immediately after I left a message on their website. They scheduled me for the following weekend. They showed up on time and got the job quickly and cleanly. They even took some extra stuff that I had not declared initially. At the end, they lowered the price from the initial estimate. These guys are prompt, friendly, fair and do great work.

It went great! They were punctual, quick, and did a great job. They were very friendly and and charged a very fair price. I was so pleased that I added in a tip when I paid them.

They showed up as promised and processed electronic payment as agreed.

Where to begin other than to say that I love these guys. They gave me a 2 hour window and called just about in the middle to let me know they were 30 minutes out and 30 minutes later, a super nice friendly guy was knocking on the door. We did a quick walk through of what I had to confirm the price which was exactly what I was quoted even with a few added items. They got to work and were good about asking if there was any more to go and had they gotten everything. About 30 minutes later they were done. I would go on and on but suffice it to say that I am simply thrilled with the service. Gee, I wish I had more stuff to have hauled away just so I could work with them again - haha! I would absolutely use in the future and recommend to anyone!

The guys from Nova Junk just left, and I am sooo happy! We've used a national junk removal company twice in the past and the crews were not thorough and also not especially friendly, so I was a bit worried about how this experience would go. Plus, it's always embarrassing to show your nastiest stuff to strangers, much less ask them to handle it. These guys came when they said they would and were professional and friendly from the get-go. I showed them everything I needed gone, which was a wide assortment of trash in various locations. There were piles of rotted vegetation covering leftover construction materials underneath the deck; on the deck itself, a soggy, sodden old area rug that I had dragged out a month ago but couldn't move any further, plus a rubbermaid container full of rusty water and old grill parts that were left to soak and then given up on; an old TV and the "guts" of a treadmill in the garage; and piles of old laminate flooring and two broken 40-gallon aquariums in the basement. In short, it was a nasty and unpleasant job. They asked questions to ensure they were taking everything that should go and nothing that shouldn't, gave me a very reasonable price quote, and got to work. Had they missed anything, I would have forgiven it because they were so darn nice, but they didn't. They took everything I wanted gone and didn't disturb anything else. The price I paid was the price that was quoted to me before they began - and also much less than the cost of the two similar jobs I'd had performed by a national company. Thanks to Nova Junk, I'm in a great mood. All that junk is finally gone and the guys could not have been friendlier or more efficient and professional. I will most definitely hire them again, and you should, too.

Called for appt as company arrived in a few days. Omar was professional as was his assistant. We had everything planned for haul so estimate was done on arrival. The work was thorough and priced very fairly. We highly recommend NOVA Junk Removal and will use again if needed.

I have used Nova Junk twice now and consider them my go to company for hauling away excess junk. Omar is always punctual, polite and efficient. Him and his workers always use the utmost caution when maneuvering objects through the house and have not damaged anything. Some objects are more difficult then others, especially from locations involving stairs like the basement and upper floors. However, Omar finds a way to disassemble the object or turn it in a manner to prevent damage to the house and safely bring it out. The price has always been reasonable considering how quickly they work and how much back breaking labor is involved. I would gladly recommend Nova Junk to my friends and family.

The first truck arrived and guaranteed us that he would take ALL debris and remnants for the cost of two truck loads and said it ensure that all of it was removed. The second driver came after the first left and just loaded the large pieces and had a bad attitude when my wife told him the first gentleman said they would take it all. The truck wasn't even full and they refused to load the last of the roofing shingles, siding, and debris. VERY disappointed. Would not recommend.

I left a message on the phone and got the return call immediately. The estimate was given on the phone and appointment the next day. The two guys arrived promptly and gave us estimate exactly as on the phone the day before. We had some more stuff and they agree to take it for additional pay up to 1/2 truck volume. They were fast and polite even though the items were quite heavy. I will recommend Nova Junk.

After our recent move, the local trash/recycling crew hadn't taken the numerous, large boxes we placed outside in the alley, and the piled debris was causing neighbors to complain -- understandably. Because of torrential rain and high winds the night before, the boxes were heavy, slippery, and difficult to manage. I called NoVa Junk Removal at 7:30 am to ask if they could help us with last minute trash removal. As promised, they checked their schedule and called me back within 10 minutes to confirm that a team could indeed pick up the boxes the same day; they had a truck at our condo by 9:45 am that morning to clear away the boxes and thus restore tranquility to our small condo unit. The two haulers -- Omar and Maximus -- were quick, polite and professional. We got a discount on the price for cash and for being seniors. I highly recommend NoVa Junk Removal for hauling in DC.

Arrived exactly on time (phoned ahead to altert us that they were on their way) and everything was done as agreed. Staff was efficient and pleasant to deal with.

We called for pick up and they were able to schedule a date wihin 2 days. We didn't have to be home. They called upon arrival to let us know the size of the load and we paid over the phone. They left a receipt in the door.

Overall the company from the contact person to the movers were professional and did a great job. I will use them again in a heart beat!

I first researched using Google and the town I live in listed Nova Junk Removal as a recommended service. Then I remembered I had just subscribed to Angie's List and used it to check out hauling services, Nova Junk Removal was rated "A." and there was a coupon. So, I called and they promised they would have someone at my home on Monday (Nov 5) . They were very apologetic about not being available sooner but Hurricane Sandy had them backed up two days. I was given a time between 0800-1000, when I mentioned I was taking off work, he offered to have them come out between 0700-0900, so I would not have to miss work. On Monday, Omar called to let me know they would be at my home in 30 minutes. He and his crew arrived at around 0730, assessed what I needed hauling and gave me a quote. I had labelled all the junk by priority. For example, stuff labelled Junk #1 had to go first to make room for new furniture. Omar thought junk #1 might fill the truck and would let me know if there was room for a few other things. Later he came to tell me they could fit some of the stuff labelled Junk #2. They got most of that on plus a humongous box of moldy books from the garage. My junk filled up a truck with items from the basement, first and second level and it only took them 45 minutes! I had a $50 dollar off coupon from Angie's List which they honored. I read a lot of great comments about Omar and they are all true. He is wonderful and has such a nice and friendly personality. He even tried to coax my cat out of hiding but she wasn't having any of that! By the way, she is happy they couldn't fit Junk #3, that's her favorite napping spot in the basement! I'll let her enjoy it until the next town bulk trash day. (smile)

We needed to get rid of a sleep sofa. It was way too heavy for my wife and I to move. I called a moving company who quoted about $250 to move the sofa to the curb. Then, after referring to Angie's List, I called Nova Junk. They quoted $125 to pick up and haul away. When I asked what it would cost if they just left it at the curb (Arlington Co. picks up furniture at no charge on regular collection day), they quoted $95. They gave me another $5.00 off for mentioning Angie's list. They were able to schedule the work in 2 days. They came in the time promised, picked up the sofa, and moved it to the street. I paid with a credit card, and they sent me a receipt via email. It took about 10 minutes start to finish. Simple--no drama--done!

Arrived right on time in the window they provided, VERY quickly removed everything we asked, and gave a great price as well. I have used other hauling services in the past but no more, I will definitely be a repeat customer of NOVA Junk Removal and won't hesitate to recommend them to my friends.
