They arrived at 7:30 am, so they could get it done in one day. Our house is a 1250 sq. ft. rambler, so it was a straightforward roof. Since rain was forecast for later in the afternoon, I really appreciated them arriving early. They removed the old shingles and paper underneath. The job was originally estimated at $5200. Upon removal of the old paper and shingles, it was discovered we had more rotted wood than we had originally suspected. I was able to see the damage for myself so I know they were correct in their assessment. The replacing of 520 sq. ft. of plywood added $1600 to the job. They had just finished putting the black weatherproofing paper on and started installing the new shingles when we got a powerful thunderstorm. I was so glad for that early start. They continued installing the shingles and completed the job around 7 pm that same evening. The storm put a 30-45 minute stop in the job, but once it was over they went right back to work. Our new roof looks great!

Actual work took 2 days to complete. Nelson and his crew did an outstanding job on the construction. I had been concerned about disturbing existing backyard landscaping, though I need not have worried. They dug up azaleas, they were relocated, and excess soil from holes for footings was removed. A special thanks to Neal Martin at NovaExteriors who provided excellent customer services through the entire project.

Overall, we were very pleased. The company was admirably efficient on the communication and scheduling fronts. We had just one problem with the work; the caulking around the new windows was rather sloppily done. However, when I brought it to NOVA Exteriors' attention, they were back at my door the next day to redo it. Very prompt and friendly response to a complaint. I would most definitely hire them again.

This was the only roof company that was able to quickly get a person out to our house to give an estimate. I called and someone was in the area and I met with them that night. We had initially thought we could do shingles, but the roofing engineer that came out to look at the roof prior to doing the project recommended a flat roof system due to the slope of the roof. The price estimate was increased at that time due to the different roofing materials required, but I was able to talk at length on the phone with a company representative and have all my questions answered. The crew that came out to do the job was easy to work with and very professional. They completed the job on a Sunday when rain on Saturday afternoon prevented it from being finished then. They did a very good job cleaning up the site.

From the initial estimate to the final installation, the company performed outstanding. They were extremely thorough in explaining the qualities of their windows and the installation process. They recommended certain types of windows based on the information we gave them, and we couldn't be happier with the end result. I would highly recommend this company to any friends that are looking to have windows installed. They also followed up the day after the installation to ensure we were happy with the results.

The project, from start to finish, took two business days. The crew arrived and departed each day within business hours, cleaned up after each session, and was very friendly and respectful to my wife, who was home alone at the time. Nova's deck team is peerless, and Nova's receptionist, Melanie, is extremely familiar with deck work, as her husband leads that team. My wife and I are very happy with our new deck, and the one superficial problem we identified was remedied within 48 hours of registering our concern (bottom step not sufficient secure). Billing was smooth and a customer satisfaction survey and phone call arrived within days of project completion.

The person on the phone promised it would not be a problem to cut the new opening in our structural brick home. I made it clear that the new door would be wider than our current window. When the salesman arrived, he knew immediately that this was something his company could not do. If the person on the phone had been more knowledgeable about their company's capabilities, I wouldn't have needed to waste my evening.

Overall, the job went well. The crew found about six sheets of rotting wood on the roof that needed to be replaced, which they were careful to not to discard until we had seen them. Although they did not finish job in one day as scheduled, they showed up the next morning first thing to finish. The work was done well and cleanup was excellent. My only complaint is that they removed two small edges of siding from under our dormers and didn't replace them. They are not necessary, but it would have been nice to have kept them aesthetically. As we will probably replace that siding the near future, we decided not to press them on this issue.

Nova Exteriors first gave us an estimate and described in detail the scope of the work-exactly where and how they would attach the gutters, what they were made of, etc. This was a relatively small job which did not require us to be at home. They did tell us ahead of time when they would be here, and let us know when they had to reschedule. The work was finally completed within 2 hours of their arrival.

We contracted with Nova Exteriors to replace all the windows in the house, as well as replace one door. They were friendly and efficient and came back to fix some minor problems on the door.

Overall, we were very pleased with Nova's work. The prices quoted were reasonable and the terms unusual. We had the option of paying nothing until the work was fully completed. In fact, we paid in installments with surprises in price. (The price for our new deck was 50% of a competitor's price!). The work was done as promised, apart from some delay due to weather, and at a high level of quality. Nova used both its own staff and trusted subcontractors. Company representatives were honest, professional and very available. We recommend Nova Exteriors without reservation.

Just based on how difficult it was to just get an estimate, I would not use company.

Overall my experience with the firm was very good. Their staff, sales and home office, are more customer focused and professional then the other firms I dealt with during my vendor selection process. The sales person was well informed about the product and was able to demonstrate it in my home. Do your homework (get other estimates) before inviting them into your home since they will push you to make a decision during their first visit by offering a discount that is only available if you buy today. That tactic is a bit pushy. With that discount and the Angie's List coupon they provide, their price was at the high-end of my acceptable range for the project. The installers they sent were pleasant and very good at what they do. They did a nice job wrapping the wood trim around the window with vinyl. One small complaint is that the cleanup of the site could have been a little better. There some shards of metal left from the vinyl cutting and cigarette butts left in the grass.

I would definitely recommend NOVA Exteriors to anyone needing work done on their house. Very professional organization, attentive to all my concerns.
