Poorly, response was quickly and declined my inquiry as they do not specialize in "wood frame sliding doors". However, I never mentioned sliding door. Clearly not very interested in my business......

The installation went fine. We had to remind the installers that we were to have a foot lock. A week or so after installation the screen door fell off. We are waiting for them to come fix it. The door may have gotten a scratch during installation. We will ask about this when they come to fix the screen door.

Working with Pete was great. He was flexible on the scheduling and his crew did a fantastic job. His crew had an actual onsite project manager with whom you could directly interface with questions or issues- very rare and much appreciated. The roof was installed with no issues, looks great and his crew cleaned up very thoroughly to ensure that not only was my property clear of debris and nails, but my neighbor's and the sidewalk, as well. Highly recommend Nova Exteriors. One more thing for my fellow Marylanders, don't let the name fool you, as Pete's ads say, Nova Exteriors does work all over Maryland and MoCo.

Both roof and door went very smoothly, door took 1/2 a day and roof was done in a day. Cost breakdown was clear and they were very good about letting us know when the guys were coming to do the work. We got a lot of compliments on both. Would recommend highly.

Nova did an excellent job. The sales person was thorough, very responsive, and easy to communicate with. The installers were very professional and did a great job. The manufacturer originally sent us the wrong window tint (Nova's order was correct, but the manufacturer made a mistake in fabrication). Nova was super responsive and helpful and fixed the issue in a very short time. Excellent service!

NOVA Exteriors did an excellent job in that they were prompt and courteous in all interactions, from estimation to installation. They sent a team of 3 in order to install both on the same day and everything was completed as they had anticipated. They were very respectful of my house and laid drop cloths everywhere, and were thorough when cleaning up. Very pleased with the product and the installation.

Company was very courteous and professional. Company took care to color match old materials and ordered correct color from distributor. Work was completed quickly. Post work cleanup could have been a little better as we found old materials left in garden beds but not a big problem.

Gerald made the process easy and David was respectful of our home during the expert install. Especially after initially contracting this work with another vendor, we were more than pleased with our experience with Gerald and NOVA Exteriors. I would absolutely recommend installer David to others looking for similar work.

These guys were a pleasure to work with. I had them replace an exterior door and install a storm door, a door leading to a garage with a 20 minute fire door (to bring it to code), and two windows in the basement. The work was done very professionally; it is clear that this was done by a master tradesmen and not some yahoo--as is often the case with northern Virginia contractors. I watched him working with (what appeared to be) the apprentice and the depth of his knowledge and experience was quite apparent. The individuals on the job were also very good and had enormous patience with my 3 year old's obsession with their tool boxes. They also put up with the frustration of working around other contractors (I replaced the stairs by one doors as well), who were not nearly as squared away as the guys from NOVA Exteriors--who showed enormous professionalism. I waited a few months to post my review and nearly six months since the work was done I am still 100% satisfied with the work done. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. These guys were not the cheapest, and I did not want the cheapest. They did the job RIGHT, the first time, and I expect to get many good years out of these doors and windows. Bravo. I will likely need a new roof in the next 5-10 years (hopefully) and these guys will be my first call.

The team was very helpful in selecting the windows and the front door. My living room was very drafty as they flipped my house quickly and there were some issues with ill fitting windows and a poorly constructed door. The new windows make a major difference in the house. the front door looks great. However, I expect 100 percent after paying close to $6500. The front lock will not lock unless I pull the door towards me. From the inside, I need to do the same. When I called to report the issue, they told me that I need to submit issue online under their warranty page. I will make sure to report on how responsive they were.

My friend and neighbor had his roof replaced by NOVA exteriors and highly recommended them. I interviewed another company and didn't get a good feeling from them. NOVA's salesman was competent, took his time to educate us and offered some valuable advice about what we needed to really focus on for our roof. For the cost of our deductible and the cost of an upgrade shingles, it was the best deal for a great product. The roof looks great and Peter, the owner sent his team out to address a few concerns I had no questions asked. The whole job took a day and the next morning to do. Cannot be happier with a result. Will use them for more work in the future, count on it.

The estimator was on time for both of our meetings. He was also direct and transparent on the scope of my project and his firm's capabilities to take it on. He provided specific details about the products they sell and very clear on options and price. It was comforting to work with someone who was willing to discuss options and pricing directly. It allowed me to properly budget for this project. The installers were also prompt. They were professional, friendly, and skilled. I would hire this company again. They were not the cheapest option but I had absolute confidence in their work and felt that the marginal cost difference was worth paying.

In my quest to purchase a door for my basement, I tried to use a company that I was referred to. I was very pleased with the door that was shown to me and was told that I would be contacted about the price when their system was available. However, after waiting for almost two weeks without a response, I researched the door online and was able to find companies that could provide the same door that I was interested in. Since Nova Exteriors was in my area and an Angie’s List participant, I contacted the company and spoke with Eric. He was very helpful in answering my questions, very knowledgeable about the door and told me that I could build my door online. Eric also exceeded my customer service expectations by going above and beyond what is normally expected. I would email questions to him late at night while at work, thinking that he would respond to me in the morning hours, but to my surprise, I would receive my answers shortly after sending my email(s). I knew at that moment that I had made the right decision in choosing his company for my door. Once I had completed the process of building my door, Nova sent a representative out to take measurements to ensure that my door would fit. My door was ordered and arrived well before the estimated 4-5 weeks. Nova arranged an appointment time for the installation that was convenient with my work schedule. The workers arrived within the window of time that I was given and began work. They were very pleasant and professional and did not waste any time installing my door. Once the job was completed, they cleaned up the work area and I could not tell anyone had been there working. Now, I have a very strong and well-insulated door. I am very, very happy with the services I received from Nova Exteriors and if I need any of their other products and services anytime in the future, I will not hesitate to use this company again.

Excellent! The Team was professional and the doors were installed perfectly. The pre and post sales teams were quite responsive. I will tell you right now that these people are not the cheapest, but they are nowhere near the most expensive - they are by far the best value option you could have. When they left the workplace was clean and the doors worked flawlessly. Furthermore, they were able to work around my 65 year old house's quirks of non-square entry ways, angled floors, etc. to create a sleek looking finish and properly functioning weather-tight seal!

We had a great Sales Person, Sam, who provided us with exactly what we wanted in style and color and price. The installation team was on time, removed our old doors, installed our new doors perfectly and cleaned up after the job completely. They even worked into the night to finish a tough job.

Very disappointed! In mid- August we contracted with this firm to replace four large custom size windows- 2 triangles, and 2 trapezoids. They estimated completion in 4-6 weeks. It actually took over 13 weeks with several “tries”. Furthermore, this project ended on a sour note. Just a few days after final installation, I noticed the caulking was already bubbling - dozens of bubbles ¼ - to ½ inch in size. When the owner emailed me asking for referrals, I responded saying that we needed a follow up visit to fix the caulk. That was almost 2 weeks ago and I have not received a reply. The contract required 100% payment on the completion date. As the consumer, that left us helpless when this problem arose just days after 'completion'. In the future, with any home improvement, I will require a 5% hold back for 2-4 weeks in case problems arise. Is the job complete? Not in my mind as the caulk issue has not been fixed. It seems that I will need to handle this myself. The caulk looks awful! Was it a disaster? No but it did not go very well. Needless to say, with all the home improvement contractors in Northern Virginia, I will NOT use this firm again. I will describe this project from three angles. Client interaction: C- The sales rep did not care about the project. We had multiple cases where the glass arrived damaged or was the wrong size. After the first problem, I called the sales rep and he was of no help and never called again to check up. Do not expect this person to be of any help. I then focused on working with the owner and project coordinator. They do not communicate well or frequently. I always felt in the dark. And their response to issues is extremely slow. The attitude seems to be "it is what it is and things will happen when they happen". At one point the owner told me “sometimes things have to get worse before they get better”. Workmanship: B Overall the workers were the best part of the experience. They definitely knew their jobs and worked carefully (see below), skillfully, and quickly. They protected the work area and cleaned up well. They seemed to have adequate tools and skill. I believe the caulk bubbling was due to weather conditions (humidity at end of day, etc.). Hard to say this is exactly their fault. They did one thing wrong from my point of view. Our home exterior is cedar siding. One of the cedar jambs was installed with the rough side showing instead of the smooth side. All the others are smooth side out. Not a big issue but enough to keep them from an "A " rating. Safety: C The windows are fairly high up (10-18 feet) and we noted on the contract the need for special scaffolding. For the first installation attempt, the workers did not bring scaffolding and tried to do the job with a couple of 6 foot step ladders and one extension ladder. It was so dangerous we took pictures and emailed them to the owner. We seriously thought about asking them to stop the project. These windows weigh hundreds of pounds and standing on the very top of a step ladder to handle them is extremely risky. But it turned out they only had one good window to install that day. Two others were the wrong size and a third one was damaged. For the final installation, they came with proper scaffolding. This employer not only put his workers at risk, but put us at risk as well. We could have been held responsible had there been an accident on our property. Job safety was clearly not a priority.

NOVA Exteriors sent a very knowledgable salesperson to spend time with us to review their entire catalogue (and it's huge!) and even came back to allow us more time to make our selection. The crew that installed the door, frame, etc on 8 Nov 17 was outstanding. On time, professionalism, even worked through their lunch break to ensure we had our door before the rain came. Completely satisfied with the workmanship; had a couple of concerns about a possible door defect but the company is working with us on that issue. I would definitely hire this company again; possibly next year for new windows!

The door surround is nice, but the header was installed wrongly, with a backing piece that is too large and not shaped for the header - it just doesn't look right. After the job was done, I got a phone call that same day and expressed my dissatisfaction, but we had to call again to arrange for a consultation about the issue. We were then told someone would call to arrange a visit, but it's been a week since the installation and no one has called. Completely unacceptable!

The work done by NOVA Exteriors was fantastic. The entire process (sales, measuring, installation) was pleasant, professional and done in a timely manner. The crew that performed the installation was highly skilled, engaging and extremely detailed oriented. This was one of the best interactions with a home contractor we have ever had, and will certainly use NOVA Exteriors again.

Very well. They were friendly and worked methodically, without rushing the job. When I noticed a couple of spots that were still vulnerable to rain and ice falls, they went back to those areas and came up with a good solution.

Did a good job. Only issue was that they left all the bags with the debris quite a distance from the curb. Having recently had shoulder surgery this caused quite a problem for me. One can was so heavy that thenrecycle folks refused to take it.

It went will they cleaned up everything no mess left behind so far so good. Had the install done on 8/17/17. So waiting to see as everything settles over the next 3-6months with the snow and rain.
