Description of Work: The service was to install a ceiling fan. There was a scheduling mistake on their part, so we had to reschedule the visit. Once the tech showed up, the install was done well. However, we were taken by surprise of how little the $200 couple helped. This coupon was pretty much for them to just show up. We still had to pay more than $200 more for them to complete the work. | |I was inclined to cancel, however I had already pre-paid the coupon ($99), so proceeded with the work. | |I don't think I'd use them again in the future.

Three ways are the litmus test we often use to test the knowledge and skill in our trade. As service technicians we are often confronted with problems where we can't see the wires as they have been covered by drywall. Three ways can be wired in many different ways, regular way, a dead-end, etc. To be able to determine how it was wired and then fix the problem is a true sign of an experienced and knowledgeable electrician. Description of Work: Removed "Hollywood Lights" from Masterbath and installed two two piece vanity lights over newly installed mirrors. Excellent electrical work which is why I hired them in the first place. They are excellent master electricians which is what I keep telling myself when they charge $169 service before even assessing what the problem is. I've known Sean since he first came to the Fairfax area. I guess my ego keeps expecting a personal deal, but alas, I guess they're just too big and successful. I hope I find an electrician with the same expertise, work ethic and group of employees when I move to the Orlando, Fl area when I move in 3 weeks. Thanks Sean! [Member Name Removed].

They are located in Washington DC so I wanted to know if there was a branch closer to Lancaster PA as that is where I live. Many service technicians charge a diagnosis fee, to come and find the problem and then they mark it up based on commission for their techs. The tech's goals are to get you to spend us much as possible, because their pay check is based on this and you are stuck in a place where your problem is not fixed if you don't want to pay a lot extra on top of the diagnosis fee. At Murphy Family Electric we don't do that, we come out, find the problem and fix it for the best price and rates in the area. Our customers our elated by this.
