MOORE & WRIGHT TREE SERVICE

A crew of four or five guys arrived on time, and finished up the job in just a couple of hours. They did a great job, and cleaned up the debris. I was very happy with the work.

Mr. Moore promptly responded to my request for an estimate. I forgot to give him my Angie's coupon when he gave his estimate, but later applied the coupon when I brought it to his attention. With the coupon his estimate was the lower of two that I obtained. The crew came early on the scheduled day of the removal. They worked long and h****** a very hot day removing a very large maple in our backyard. Our yard has many bushes and shrubs close to the maple; the crew removed the tree without any damage to any other plants. They thoroughly ground and took away all stump and root grindings. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up and leaving the yard in good condition. I definitely highly recommend Moore and Wright's service.

They were responsive. They sent the quote but I went with a company that was less expensive.

They do fantastic work! Aside from some confusion regarding the scheduling where they showed up EARLIER than planned, they were flawless. We found out about them after seeing the great work that they did on a neighbors yard. So we decided that, despite the fact that they weren't the lowest bid, we'd hire them and it was the right decision. The cleaned up flawlessly and they ground down not only the stumps that were planned for, but TWO others that were in the yard from previous work without charge. They also worked around my custom fence without damaging it. I'd highly recommend them!

Moore and Wright arrived on time, as scheduled, and worked continuously and professionally throughout the better part of the day. It was amazing to watch them work on the tree in the front yard - cutting it down seamlessly without incident, between all wires. One of the guys would cut a branch and attach it to a load line, guided by a crane operator between the wires. The crane operator would then lift the branch upwards between the wires while another two guys on the ground would take the branch and put it through a chipper that emptied into a large truck. The truck had to be emptied at least once or twice during the job given the size of the trees. The guys on the job were polite and respectful. I highly recommend them. In fact I plan to call them back in the fall to plant a replacement tree in my front yard.

Got four estimates going up to $3000. Ed had the second lowest bid, but he seemed a lot more informed, relaxed and certain about the process than the lowest bidder. Plus he was the only provider who had a good theory as to why the tree died in the first place, as disease wasn't the culprit according to arborist tests. (Ed thinks a driveway repaving before we moved in probably cut important roots and it took 3-5 years to die) Ed was friendly and prompt and everything went exactly as promised, about a week later. They definitely had top notch equipment, and Ed noted that the fact they owned their own stuff made his pricing more competitive than those who have to lease things for jobs. They used a crane truck and took it down within an hour. A second truck came by and ground down the stump. I do wonder whether I paid a premium based on my neighborhood/property size, because all the bids seemed high compared to most Angie's List reviews of similar-sounding jobs. I suppose power line proximity could have played into that, but was surprised at prices across the board. Ed made me feel better about that prospect by also including in his price pruning of our adjacent pine tree, including making a repair of a gash left after a major limb had crashed down last summer and left "too long of a scar" to heal properly. His crew cut it off cleanly lower on the limb as well as cosmetic pruning.

Moore & Wright staff responded quickly to request for a free quote to do the work. They emailed the quote within a day or so. I called them to verify I qualified for the Angie's List discount. They updated the quote within a day to apply the AL discount. I called to schedule. The work was scheduled for two weeks out due to availability. On the scheduled date, it rained in the morning and the work was cancelled for the day. It took another two weeks based on schedule availabilty to for a new date for the work. On the new date, weather was fine. They arrived in the morning and completed the work before noon. The team that did the work were professional. They completed the work safely and did a very good job removing all the debris. There was nothing that needed to be cleaned up after them either in my back yard or in the street in front of my house. They were not the cheapest bid, but were competitive with the AL discount and did quality work. Scheduling is probably the one area where they could improve. When the work was cancelled due to weather, the cancellation was about late in the morning (at their expected arrival time). It was a little late for the cancellation; the scheduling person does not come in until 9 am -- so she made the calls when she arrived in the office.

I needed an old maple tree removed. I received many estimates running as high as $2,080.00. This company gave a great bid and did a wonderful job. They did everything they said they would including chopping up the stump and taking away the limbs. They were very professional and I highly recommend them.

We took a chance with this company that another contractor recommended and the results are so much better than with the previous tree company we hired. Emailed Maggie a few times. Had the estimator come out. Received an estimate. Work started and completed in 1 day. Overall I would recommend this company as they have the right equipment for the job. Cost wise, you pay more to have the right equipment brought out but the job can be completed faster and safer. If time is more important get these guys. They'll do the job right and fast the first time.

We felt that they advised us well regarding the health of our trees. They removed all wood, brush and debris, cleaning up perfectly. We were very pleased with the quality of their work.

Science and art. That's what the crew, lead by a certified arborist, brought to the work that they performed on our trees. Oh, and enthusiasm for the job as well! We loved that they considered esthetics and the safety of our house in addition to the health of the trees when determining where to cut. From the owner to the office manager to the crew, everyone was personable and professional. They came when they said they would come and performed the work as written in the contract, all at a reasonable price. An A+ service provider.

Rick Wright brought his crew out and did an outstanding job in both cutting and cleaning up afterwards. The trees were about 50 ft up and one of his men repelled his way up to the top and trimmed off the dead branches that would have crushed my amish shed. Rick is very knowledgeable about the patterns of the different types of trees and their growing patterns. I highly recommend this group because you can see they work as a team and take pride in doing a good job!.

They did not perform the work because they never bothered to give me an estimate.

Ed Moore was recommended by a friend. When I called Ed he was in the neighborhood and agreed to stop by our home although I was not home at the time. As he walked our property we talked by phone and I felt he clearly understood what i wanted done. He offered valuble suggestions and recommendations on both what needed to be done and what didn't need to be done. He emailed me a quote which clearly described the work to be done and the date he expected to do the work. The price was right and I felt we had found the right contractor so we signed the contract. On the scheduled date Ed called me at work after the large tree had been taken down to clearify some minor details about the other trees that needed limbs removed. When I arrived home the work was complete and the cleanup was thorough. I still have not met Ed face to face. The work performed by Moore and Wright could not have been done better. I highly recommend Moore and Wright.

My experience with Moore and Wright could not have been better. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate with Mr. Moore who took the time to walk me through what work he would suggest for each tree that I wanted to have pruned/trimmed. Mr. Moore's knowledge about trees was very impressive. I was especially impressed by his desire to "save a tree" when possible and not just cut it down. His crew did an outstanding job. We have received numerous compliments from our neighbors on what a noticeable difference the pruning/trimming has made to our property. Mr. Moore's crew also did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. I barely saw a trace of sawdust! All of this great service for the same price as I was quoted by some "door knocker" who couldn't offer the same insights and or recommendations as a trained arborist such as Mr. Wright. I would absolutely recommend using Wright and Moore.

The estimator cancelled our first appointment at the last minute and failed to show up for the rescheduled appointment despite my being told that he was "on the way."

During the initial process I obtained 6 estimates for the work. Ed Moore came out to give an estimate and was friendly, professional and informative. He was not in a hurry and answered all of my questions. I was extreamly inpressed with his manner and what he had to offer and, interestingly, the Moore and Wright bid was among the lowest I received. I was not able to have the work done for a couple of months after the estimate. Communication with the office was everything one could ask for. His partner Mr. Wright was in charge of the work crew and ;manned the crane. He was also friendly and professional. There was also an arborist on the crew. Their work was efficient, but thorough and they left the site exttremely clean. I found it fasinating to observe the expert tree and crane work... it even helped to lessen the sadness about having to take the old oak down.

In late March, I contacted Moore & Wright tree service to see if they could help me with some serious tree pruning and removing a dead tree from my backyard. Mr. Moore came out and provided me w/a very fair estimate for this job. After this meeting, I also felt like I was kinda an extended branch of this close-knit tree service family. Due to a couple of upcoming work-related trips, and a bird's nest in one of the bushes, the actual tree/bush pruning experience didn't occur till mid-May. I was able to get timely responses during this time from Moore & Wright to let me know that I was still on the books. I had hoped to be present during the time that Moore & Wright event, but due to a family situation this didn't happen. However, Mr. Wright was able to come by the night before and go over the plan of action. When I got back Friday PM, I was amazed of what was done and am TRULY pleased with the work and the effects. My house looks much neater than it did before. I would highly recommend the use of this service without any hesitation.

I have used this company several times at two houses over the past 15 years. All told, they have cut down a total of 17 trees for me. I have also referred them to 15+ of my friends. They do an amazing job everytime, and it is even fun to watch them with the crane and the way they clear everything out. Other than the sawdust piles left behind when they grind out a stump, you can't even tell they've been at your house they clean up so completely and neatly. Only tree company I will ever use!down

On a friend's recomendation I contacted Rick Wright for an estimate to have trees in our front and back yard trimmed. Rick arrived on time for the estimate and was polite and attentive to our concerns. He recommended pruning several trees back to move the limbs away from our home and increase the amount of sunlight in our yard. We agreed on a price, time and date for the work. His crew arrived on time and went to work quickly after confirming what trees/branches were to be pruned. The work was completed quickly and the crew even went so far as to rake our front yard afterwards! Much to my surprise, Rick said the work went quicker than he had anticipated and charged us $150.00 less than the originaly agreed upon price. Highly recommended!

Great company to work with. Very professional. Punctual and did a good job.

They were great! I needed three trees to come down, and then all of a sudden Hurricane Irene was looming, so I was able to get them in the day before and get the work done before the hurricane did it for me!It did take them some time after to get the stumps ground out, but they must have been backed up between the hurricane and the floods we had the week after.

I contacted the company based on a referral from another tree service. The referring company does not provide service in my area. I emailed the company after normal business hours describing the required work. I received a response the next day stating that someone would evaluate the situation and provide a propsal. I received a proposal the next day by email. The email contained the proposal, a contract, and proof of insurance. I called the company and provide a credit card number and the work was scheduled for the next day. I was not at home when the work was accomplished. When I came home that evening, the tree had been removed, the stump ground, and the site was cleared of all debris. I could not be more satisfied with the service provided to include the cost.

Ed Moore and his crew had their work cut out for them. They worked with the power company to have the nearby power lines shut down for the day, which took a little "arm twisting". They used a 23-ton crane, and didn't have to remove my any of neighbors fences. Completed job in one day at a reasonable price. Other estimates were priced much higher, planned to use a 70-ton crane, or took one look at the power lines and declined. He even let me pay over 3 months - very nice! I highly recommend Moore & Wright.

I called in early to mid August, hoping to beat the rush for firewood, and maybe even get a off-season discount, but, no such luck. (Granted, when asked, I did say I was in no hurry to get the delivery, provided it was before the weather turned cold.) I was quoted a price for the firewood, but the girl neglected to tell me there would be an additional fee to have the wood stacked. The cost for the wood was $245, and the additional cost for stacking it was $80. Still, the guys who stacked it did an outstanding job, and better their backs than mine, so I'll resist complaining too much.
