They came out and did the work. It took them 5 days, and we still had the same problem after they left. The good news is they came back and fixed the problem. They did a sloppy job at first but they came back and eventually got the outlets to work. They were very nice however, and apologized and offered to send somebody back out to fix the problem.

They are outstanding and I will always praise them. They do a super job. They can't be beat. They are the best in this area. They are the best. I have a plan with them and it costs me, for each unit $320. I can say their price is reasonable because I compare them with other companies around here but they are the best. I give them all 'A's. I give them the best rating possible in all categories.

They told me I would have be pay for one or the other depending on what they had to do. They told me my AC unit needed freon and he told me I needed about 4.5lbs. I told him I wanted to check on what the other companies were charging. He told me that everyone is about the same, but told me he would come and do it on his personal time and he would charge less. I did not feel this was right. He changed the price and I did not feel this was ethical. When he gave me the estimate, the company charges $212 per pound not $250 like he told me. In the estimate, he said my motor had to be replaced. He never gave me the model, so when I called other companies, I had to get the model number by looking it up myself.

Customer service said - despite a homecare agreement and years of being a loyal customer - told me it would take five days to get a service call. Do not believe ads. Do not expect good service. And DO NOT sign a homecare service contract. Ever.

Responded within two hours. Plumber was highly capable, professional and pleasant. Problem quickly resolved. Prices were outrageous. My first time using services in this area. Maybe it's normal.

I am not a fan of him. We basically had to swap out a plastic connecting thing that goes from our dish washer to our plumbing system. They only covered what went to a copper fitting. So we had to have him replace the copper fitting. It was seriously a fifteen dollar piece that ended up costing me over three hundred dollars because of the thirty five dollar minimum fee. I had to have somebody come out to do a consultation and then the labor on top of that and then the parts that ended up, which I would have bought myself which, would have cost me like fifteen bucks.

Bottom line up front: Our 14 year old water heater broke and needed to be replaced. Michael and Sons was able to replace it fairly quickly and get hot water restored to the house. The details: Several years ago, we were told our water heater was going, so this wasn't a surprise. When the water heater went, we called Michael and Sons for a quote. It was a Sunday, so they said they could dispatch someone for an emergency fee of $89, or we could wait until Monday. We ended up waiting until Tuesday (schedule issues on our end, not Michael and Sons) for them to come. Monday evening, the plumbing manager called and said that they would likely be there before our 2-6 time window because they only had a few appointments, which my husband said was unacceptable because one of us had to leave work early to be there for the 2pm appointment and we wouldn't be home before that. The manager agreed and said they would be there promptly at 2. The deal was that M&S would check out the water heater to see if it needed to be repaired, and if it had to be replaced, they travel with a water heater in the truck so they could immediately begin replacing it. After leaving work early to be home for the 2pm arrival, the salesman didn't arrive until after 4pm (he called at 2:45 and said he was en route and would be there "shortly"). He looked at the water heater for about 30 seconds, never discussed repairs, and asked if we wanted to replace it tonight. Seeing as he drove up in a sedan, which obviously doesn't have room for a water heater, I was pleasantly surprised. The price quoted was higher than other quotes I had received. After reading other reviews on Yelp and Angie's List, I assumed I was going to get an even higher quote, but it was acceptable to me, as they were on site already and promised to get the water heater replaced that night. They also tried to upsell me into HVAC and electrical services while they were there for an additional $400. No thanks. The salesman then called the technician to see if he even could replace it that night (would have been nice to check prior to the appointment when he said they could do it). When the tech confirmed, the salesman couldn't give me an estimate on the tech's arrival other than "he's finishing up another job and will come here after." The tech arrived about an hour later. He was professional and replaced the water heater in about 2.5 hours. I wish we could have selected a different brand of water heater, but M&S only seems to stock State brand. For a similar cost, I could have had a better model of a Rheem hot water heater installed, but it was my choice to go with M&S because they were already at my house. All in all, I have hot water again, but my interaction with M&S's sales staff, the miscommunication on timing, and the miscommunication on the person showing up actually having a water heater on them, was pretty lukewarm.

We did no give them the job. I had a tenant who had a receptacle behind her refrigerator that was not working. They used a $35 service call price to attract people to call them. It worked, our tenant called them directly without going thru us (the landlord), only to tell her that the diagnosis and actual work would be $431.18 to fix. I asked him why such a strange price, he said it was their "standard rate". We told them no thank you. I called our regular electrician and sent him to the house and he charged $50. It was a loose wire on the outlet. While he was there we had him do a check of the whole house...still only $130.

They did great work, but they were very expensive. They did great work, but it was only after that we realized how expensive they were. The work needed to be done immediately so we did it, but then we realized it was exorbitant. I thought they were very professional, and they did good work, the employees were very knowledgeable, but they charged through the roof, so we won't use them again because of that.

This company was very efficient,they covered there feet when they came into the house. They had all the proper tools with them and I recommend this company to anyone. Also they were very polite and gave me a written estimate with choices, which I found very helpful.

I'm a homeowner in Silver Spring, Maryland. My new Carrier heat pump, air handler, thermostat, and associated refrigerant pipes and components were installed by Michael & Son on a Saturday in April. My old Carrier system was 12 years old and finally died on me. I called around for estimates and M&S gave me a proposal that made the best overall value, considering the quality labor, and materials, professional & skilled staff, and reliable warranty from a larger, more established company. The installers were Glen and Marcus and they were the friendliest, knowledgeable, and efficient HVAC professionals I have ever dealt with. Despite working in the rain the first half of that day, they were cheerful and professional. This was a big installation job for me because it involves a couple areas in my house and I was very nervous. However, Glen and Marcus made the experience very pleasant for me. I was so pleased at how quickly the job was done. Thanks so much Glen and Marcus!!!

Appointment was made on Friday 4/15/2016. Person who made the appointment validated at the time that the work requested was in fact work they could perform. I took a day off work to meet them for their 12 - 4 window, to receive a call at 9:15 the day of the appointment telling me that they don't do that type of work. When I called back to the number that set the appointment I was told Oh she wasn't told the correct information when she set the appointment. 1. Perhaps someone could have called before the day of the appointment to cancel, so I wouldn't miss an entire days pay 2. Perhaps someone could have come looked at it, instead of making it seem they just didn't want to be bothered

I wanted a new look for the lighting in my kitchen, something more up-to-date looking. Based on their recommendation, I had seven recessed lights installed, LED lights under all my kitchen cabinets, and two pennant lights over my center island. Boy, what a difference. It looks awesome. And the price was just right!

The employee arrived at our house on a weekend soon after we reported a leak in our old water heater. He spent several hours at dealing with this emergency problem, first removing the old water heater and then replacing it with a new water heater. Separately he also replaced some deteriorating hoses that were connected to our washer and dryer. He was courteous and professional, and really understood his subject. I would recommend this company for anyone with similar problems.

We have lived in our current home for 28 years. Over that time, we have used 6 different plumbers and 4 different electricians. Michael & Son stands out as the most professional and reliable company we have found. There are other less expensive options but I choose Michael & Son because it is important to us to know their work is well done and lasting, their staff is professional and reliable, and their customer service is courteous and responsive. The last aspect of their service stands out from their competitors. An example of their excellent staff is Peter who services our heating and cooling systems. Peter's judgement can always be trusted and he can be counted on to make suggestions to make our home more efficient and comfortable.

It went extremely well!!! The technician Sean K. (Michael and Sons) was extremely professional in his dealings with me even called 30 minutes prior to arrival and asked where could he park once he arrived. To some people this may not sound like a big deal but to me it was very helpful on a Sunday afternoon!!! He delivered what I consider "good old fashioned customer service!" He repaired my light switch and quickly moved to give me a diagnostic on the attic fan. Once completed, he talked and answered several of my questions regarding a new attic fan installation (types of attic fans and the best one for my home). With every question I had he took the time to explain and discuss with me the differences. He didn't hesitate with any of his responses and did not pressure me to buy anything. I liked that! After speaking with Sean K., it appears Michael & Sons has the solutions to ALL my home related issues. I'm even reading the brochure on purchasing their Home Care Agreement for the year all because of the GREAT customer service I experienced with their technician. Thanks, Michael and Sons!!

Tamir showed up on time, called me in advance to let me know he was on his way. The new range was slightly too big for my existing rough opening so he called his friend to come over and custom cut my existing granite countertop in the field. His friend arrived and took care of shaving a 1/2" off my granite and repolishing the edges. Also my previous gas range was not installed per code (no shut off valve in the back) so Tamir installed that for me. He was here 3 hours, but stood by, and overcame these crazy hurdles to get my range installed. He also left the kitchen spotless. This could have been a nightmare, but thanks (SINCERELY) to Tamir and Michael & Sons for getting my range installed.

Was here less than two hours. I was sick in bed. I feel he took advantage of the situation and dramatically overcharged for the service ($766.82). My wife dealt with him. We have a maintenance agreement with Michael and Sons and were supposed to have the service call, time it takes to come to the site, for free as part of the agreement: "One home check per year".

I'm not entirely thrilled with them. I had their care package on my old unit. I just kind of felt like I was always getting a runaround with them. I felt like they were trying to push new stuff on me or upcharge me on a bunch of stuff or take advantage of my lack of knowledge. They are a little expensive.

They actually did well on that one. It was cheaper. They were out there pretty promptly. They did everything fine. It's weird how Michael & Son is divided up into different groups and some groups do really well and others don't.

job was completed,of course it did cost me.i would recommend,improvement is customer contacting.there was no cintact made to me from them,as i had to contact them.but once again everitt went above and beyond

I didn't like it and I wouldn't recommend them. We signed a three year contract with them last year. They did come out and do the air conditioner but they charged me $175 for whatever work they did on it and cleaning it mostly. They were going to do the furnace but they do the air conditioner at the end of the summer and they wanted to do the furnace towards the latter part of the winter and those times are not convenient. They didn't a bad job of cleaning the AC but it didn't need any freon or any new parts. I think they are very expensive.

He figured out that our light switch had shorted out and that is why we were not able to get our new light fixture installed ourselves. The electrician was professional and seemed to have a lot of experience. A little expensive but he did a very good job.
