Description of Work: We called Michael & Sons with an emergency electrical situation on a Sunday afternoon. They arrived within an hour & had everything fixed satisfactorily within another hour. Oh ... and they sent a little thank you note out a few days later. Nice touch!!

Description of Work: I used them and they told me that to fix my ac it would cost me over a $1000 dollars that my coil was bad. We I spent that entire summer without air and then after my ac man was back in town he came and fixed it for $140 and it wasn't the coil. So I will never use them again.

Description of Work: We have used Michael and Sons for many years now and have been very pleased with the services we have used. They are punctual, clean up thoroughly afterward, explain every step. They will recommend things that we should consider( our home is not new). the are our go-to repair service for plumbing, electric and HVAC.

Description of Work: We had a problem with our outdoor receptacles that we could not find. Matthew was assigned to our request. He arrived within the specified time and spent over two hours trying to locate the problem without success. H stated that he would need to return the next day with a circuit tracer and made the appointment. Once again, the problem proved complex. Nevertheless, Matthew stayed and persisted, until he finally located the problem in a poorly wired bathroom receptacle on the second floor. He wound up replacing four receptacles including a GFR, and will return again to place an exterior GFR on the outside to prevent the same problem from happening again. Because of his persistence,we will be able to turn on our Christmas lights, and the wiring is now much safer. The price for the whole thing was very reasonable, considering the amount of time he spent. We have used Michael and Son's services before and have always been pleased with the results, but this time was over and above the "norm," and we will continue to use them in the future.

Description of Work: They have done a hot water heater for us and maintained our heating and air conditioning system. We had a water line burst and they fixed it. We’ve always liked them! They are always prompt, polite, and professional.

Description of Work: I had a new smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector put in and my bathroom light switch repaired. The service was great but wasn't completely happy with the cost but the great service made up for it.

Description of Work: Most of the contractor in Angie's List over priced. As I have been member for 2 years, I didn't get reasonably priced contract for any kind of job.

Description of Work: The services were performed so long ago that I no longer remember the date or the cost. They came on time, did the work and left. They made an error in completing one aspect of the work and returned promptly to correct it.

Description of Work: Trimmed and rehung doors, repaired wall that had water damage from a leak - new drywall, mud, sanding and paint. They were respectful of my home furnishings and cleaned up after themselves.

Description of Work: Abdul was the plumber from Michael and Sons who came to repair my water heater. He replaced the Thermocouple, drained the tank, and cleaned the burner on the water heater. He was very professional, and offered sound advice. When I told him I was not interested in the service plan, he did not give me the hard sell. All in all, a very professional experience.

Description of Work: Replaced a leaking hot water heater. Job was professionally done but cost was too high.
