The service was quick and really good. Luis Pinto was the service technician and I gave very specific instructions on what I wanted completed and he did exactly what I wanted done and completed a host of projects in just a few days. Luis was on time and cleaned up after his work. I would recommend him to anyone.

Things were fine. It was a very friendly service, and they showed up on time. I found out after the fact that other people got the same thing for less.

Called at the last minute to restore power to a single circuit in an old house. Courteous, quick response. Did a good job, great attention to detail, from the dust-booties to cleaning up mess from old outlets. Got the system back up and running with an assurance that it was fixed correctly. Expensive, but I was given the choice about the level of effort (and the resulting cost). I'll call them first next time.

We wanted a service maintenance contract and they were very helpful. Eddie Smith assessed our needs and gave us a very good deal. The customer service was excellent! They now have a month to month program to meet the needs of those who could not afford a yearly contract. They also have a catalogue that provides easy access to appliances and parts with a customer discount. I was extremely impressed when I received a notice that they would provide FREE snow removal to their customers who were 'snowed in' during our last storm! That truly is outstanding and it shows this company really does care about serving their customers in every way! Two thumbs up!! :-)

Their prices were way too high. I would not talk to them beyond the initial estimate. I had done my research and found that their prices were far too expensive. They were responsive and professional, but I could not consider them because there is no way the quality of their work could justify the price.

I called to have some electrical work done and they were to come on Saturday morning. On Saturday morning, they called to say they had to cancel because one of their employees didn't come into work. I said that it was not easy for me to reschedule for another day and asked if they could come any time that weekend. They told me they could not and were rude. They said it was out of their hands and I should go elsewhere.

I contacted this company to fix my fireplace. They told me the diagnostic would be $89 and that if I took the service the $89 would be waived. The technician had could diagnose the problem after an hour of working. Finally, he got the fireplace to work by attaching a make shift transmitter, but did not know what was wrong. He called his supervisor who informed him to replace my entire fireplace that is less than 4 years old and used very little. The estimate was $680. I told the technician was not sure about his company's diagnostic and would call if I wanted the service. I had a friend clean my fireplace parts (under the bottom of the fireplace) and the fireplace works fine. There is no need to replace my fireplace for $680.

It turned out fabulous. We really liked them. The price was fair. We would absolutely use them in the future.

Michael's came out for $400 to snake the drain to tell us the drain pipe had collapsed. We were advised the best thing to do was to have a $6500 sewer injector pump with grinder installed to get around having to dig up the concrete basement floor. The pump would then be placed, with the pipes going through the floor joyce's in ceiling to main drain stack pipe. There was however a piece of plumbers snake in the pipe that they could see. Since we refused the pump, their next move was to jackhammer up the drain, and removed a 10' piece of snake left in the pipe. The video camera was broken so they couldn't ensure the pipe was ok, so they replaced the drain, poured concrete and left. The 1st load of laundry I did, we had a backup. They came out again, tore up the floor in the adjoining bedroom only to find a reducing coupling which took the pipes from 3 inches to 2 inches or something like that. That is when they had their "Ah Ha" moment, this was probably why the pipe looked like it was caved in. They replaced about 5' of pipe, put in a new floor drain, patched the hole and left. They never ran the washing machine nor did they run the video camera prior to putting everything back. Guess what, 1st load of laundry, it backed up. We called them back, and this time they came with a small video camera which they hooked up and looked all the way out to the street. They said they saw roots in the pipe and ponding in the pipe. They now suggested we replace the pipe. At this point we asked how much, and were told the entire cost to dig up the pipe would be in addition to what we already paid out, the $1800, was $6500. We said no thanks. We found another plumber, who was VERY experienced, came out. told us he could do the job without having to tear up our living room and bedroom floor for $4200. He abandoned the old pipe, placed 32' of new in the unfinished basement and connected to the stack pipe in the basement. He also provided us with a drain for a future shower just in case. He did a wonderful job, and promised me I would have no further backups. He was right.

I'd used this company once before for a problem with my dishwasher. What I did not know and was to learn (the hard way) was that this company's plumbers work on commission. At any rate, I was getting ready to deploy overseas and wanted to get a couple of minor problems take care of. I had a small leak under the kitchen sink which I could not locate. I also had a cracked basin of a bathroom sink that I wanted replaced. I purchased the basin at Lowes for $40. Called them, and the technician showed up 1.5 hours early. He found the leak, which he attributed to an old faucet. He advised that I also replace the disposal, since it was rusted and old. I concurred, since I had some trouble with it previously. The faucet he provided was $305. The upper-range disposal unit installed was $735. He did not give me a quote for the sink. When the job was done he wanted to add $690 for simply replacing the basin (which he said was glued in and hard to remove). The bill amounted to nearly $1,800. To make me feel better about this, he told me that the faucet retailed for $625 and that he was giving me a $300 discount. I refused to pay, and later negotiated a lower price with the company. The next day I found the faucet listed for $195 and the disposal for $250. This was absolutely unscrupulous behavior. I will never used this company again, to say the least.

They were very prompt and did a good job. They charged me almost $200 but that also included an agreement. It was an agreement to come out without charge. I would use them again.

Michael & Son had done electrical work previously for me with which I was pleased, so I decided to try their plumbing services. I had an appointment--sometime between 12 - 4 p.m.--to fix a sink stopper and see what was causing my toilet to make a weird sound. Close to 4 pm the office called to say the plumber was running several hours late. The plumber finally arrived at about 5 pm. He inspected the sink and said that the sink trap pipe also needed to be replaced because it was corroding. (That seems entirely possible since the pipe is more than 25 years old.) A chain of unusual events (his key broke off in the tuck; a coworker needed to be called to help, etc), resulted in both a 2-hour absence in the middle of the repair and the job lasting until about 8:45 that night. Only the sink was repaired, the plumber never even got to the toilet. There were many satisfactory aspects of this service call--the plumber was professional, neat, and the sink repair was (finally) completed satisfactorily. It just took up much more of my day than anticipated. Michael & Son agreed to partially waive their service call fee to come back and fix the toilet.

It went well but they were a little pricy. They also inspected other things. They were professional though and the job was done right.

They do electrical, plumbing and handyman services. They have very knowledgeable electrical technicians. They are very professional and prompt. They are fairly reasonable and they will try to consolidate the price into one when you give them multiple jobs. I would definitely use them again.

They did a great job. The man that came in took one quick look and said it would be $1,400. I thought the price was a little high.

They were prompt and professional. Their level of courteousness prior to the work was great. The technicians really knew how to handle themselves; however they tried to convince me to buy something that I did not need. I thought that with the thousand some odd dollars I paid them and the parts only costing a couple of hundred dollars that I was paying them a lot for the labor. They wanted me to purchase a stainless steel cap to go over the hole left from the water sprayer, which they removed, and charge me fifty dollars for the work and the part. I told them that I was not interested, because I wanted to put a soap dispenser in place of the sprayer. He told me that I did not want to do that. I later purchased a twelve dollar soap dispenser for the hole. They did the work well and I have not had any problems with the repairs, but I just thought that sale was cheesy. I felt that I was overspending for the work to begin with but that the sales pitch was just over the top. I did not like it number one because I did not need it, number two it was overpriced to begin with, number three he refused to hear what I wanted to put on the sink and just kept trying to sell me the fifty dollar cap. I even gave them lunch and they still tried to take advantage. I would rather not use them again in the future, but if I need someone fast and I know that they will do a good job I know who to call although I know that they will overcharge me.

I have been using them for years. They were excellent! I highly recommend them. I enjoy working with them. They are professional.

They arrived on time. After explaining the problem, the issue was found in about 15 minutes. The repair took another 15 minutes, after which the service rep also found an unrelated problem and fixed that as well. While he was here, I had him hang a light fixture in the dining room. Very professional. Cleaned up the work area after each process. Excellent experience. I'll definitely use them again for some renovations we're planning this fall.

They are not the cheapest, however I feel that I get what I pay for. They are reliable, knowledgeable, and they always showed up when they were supposed too. They are always very neat and clean. I appreciate their service. I have probably spent about thirty five hundred dollars with them over the past couple of years.

I called because I had used this company for an emergency repair earlier this summer. They called back promptly and gave me an accurate ETA for their service technician, Luis, who was very helpful and professional. He turned off the main water supply to stop the leak in my basement. After measuring the length of the pipe at 220' (it was actually 200'), he conferred with his supervisor and gave me an estimate of $16,500. I had the work done by someone else today for less than $7000. I will not call this company again. It's too bad, because their employees seem to be quite good.

I give kudos to Michael and Sons, as they really did a fantastic job. I was very impressed, as they were on time and did the work in a timely manner. They were very knowledgeable because they were able to answer all my questions, while they were working. It sounded reasonable and they loved to talk to me. They were very polite and courteous. They also cleaned up after themselves. I can highly recommend them to anyone. I will most definitely use them again in the future. In fact, I need to get some air fans and ceiling fans. So, I will call them back to do the work, as they also do electrical and plumbing work. I haven?t had them do my plumbing yet, but they are on my list of course.

We had a GREAT experience with Michael & Son. The work was very professional, the electrician was very thorough, explained what he was doing, and was even attentive to the fact that our daughter was napping, and tried to organize the "louder work" around her nap! He even fixed the light fixture in our shed for free. We were definitely impressed with his work, and with Michael & Son in general, and plan to use them for other work we'd like to do on the house as well (plumbing, installing a heat pump, and remodeling our kitchen). Thanks for a great job!

We were very pleased with Michael and Sons. The electrician, Chris, showed up on time and was very respectful and efficient throughout the job. After some bad luck with other service providers, we were delighted with our experience.

Michael & Son is a very pleasant company to work with. I have used other plumbers and now I always use Michael & Son because they always arrive on time, their technicians are very professional, and they always do good work. I would not call them the cheapest plumber, in fact their prices can be pretty high, but you can consistently expect quality work and on time arrivals, which is very important to me.

They were prompt, neat, and did what needed to be done.
