I had a rusty pipe. They came out and fixed it for me. They were very professional.

It was fine. They did a good job. The cost is less expensive when using them through Lowes and not going directly to them.

They did exactly what was expected. The fellow came out soon after I called. He came in and new what he needed to do. He was very quick and cleaned up after himself. I would recommend them.

It was a good experience. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and polite. They were excellent.

I had 3 separate technicians come...one from plumbing...one from electrical...and one for heating and AC all working the same day. All called me prior, came on time, were knowledgeable and pleasant. Although it took about 5 hours, i was expecting much longer since I had so many things that I wanted done. Its several months later, and my toilet, sink, heat/AC, and lights are working wonderfully!

Michael & Son has performed numerous projects in my home and I have been pleased with their knowledge and workmanship. I do not have anything negative to report.

I own a 22 year old townhouse. In 2009, one of my four toilets quit working and a technician (from another company) told me it needed to be replaced. I called Michael and Son since they carried TOTO toilets and they sent two technicians who installed a TOTO Drake 1.2 GPF two-piece elongated toilet with cyclone flush, "soft-close" seat, and SanaGloss finish in Cotton White. The technicians spent quite a while informing me of how the toilet worked and how to best take care of it. I absolutely loved this toilet. At the time, I had three teenagers (and their friends) in the house. With my old toilets, I used to cringe when someone used my builder-grade toilets. It was so embarrassing when they clogged; we had to have a plunger in every bathroom. My eldest son got married and when my daughter-in-law got pregnant in 2012, they moved in with me. I decided to replace the other three old toilets. This time, I wanted two ADA (americans with disabilities) toilets since they are higher; one for the master bath and one for the basement apartment. I again phoned Michael and Son. They told me TOTO had improved on the Drake series since 2009 and now offered a Drake II in the ADA style with a double cyclone flush. So, I ordered two TOTO Drake II 1.2 GPF two-piece elongated ADA toilets with double cyclone flush, "soft-close" seat, and SanaGloss finish in Cotton White and a third toilet just like the first one I bought (since it is lower) for the bathroom my grandchild will use. The new Drake II toilets are fantastic!! They use VERY LITTLE water, the double cyclone flush makes sure all parts of the bowl get clean, and the SanaGloss finish means you don't have to clean them as often. As before, the technicians went out of their way to make certain I was completely satisfied. They put on "booties" so they wouldn't scratch my floors, they hauled away the old toilets, they tested the toilets once installed to make sure they didn't leak, and cleaned up after the installation. In addition, they had to pass by my washroom on the way to the basement apartment and noticed water dripping on the floor. I had a defective front water shutoff valve that two other plumbing companies had not been able to fix. To keep my basement from flooding, I improvised and hung a bucket on the valve to catch the drips, forgot to turn off the valve, and the bucket overflowed. The technicians took a few minutes and fixed that valve! Michael and Son plumbing division is EXCELLENT. I highly recommend them without reservation.

I called them to give me a quote on remodeling three bathrooms. They came and gave me a quote of one bathroom and it was extremely expensive. I know they do good work, but the pricing was way out of my range.

The plumber came about 2 hours after a 5 hour scheduled window. Problem was a leaky copper pipe. He took down 5 sections of a dropped ceiling and did not replace them(I was not physically able to do that at the time) He cut a hole in drywall ceiling in hall -messy cut. He charged $695 to cut and replace a 4 or 5 foot straight pipe. I later had entire line replaced by a local plumber for under $500. When asked to check a leak from bathroom, He kicked KICKED the toilet trying to loosen it. Never again.

They were professional. I would use them again in the future.

They were good and prompt. They fixed the problem when it leaked and they came back out and fixed it.

First guy that came and snaked the line, then said we needed a new disposal for $700-800 dollars (outrageous!). We bought top of the line disposal on Amazon.com and had it installed by Sears. Line clogged again shortly after install (a few days). Called M&S second time to fix the clog problem which they did at no extra charge by snaking the line again (further out). Competent job, but very high charges and bad advice from first guy.

A plumber sent from the Home Warranty Company told us that he could unclog the mainline drain in our basement. He told us some elaborate reason as to why the drain was clogged and told us that our basement might have to be dug up to correct the problem. Our Homeowners Insurance company said that Michael and Son was the best in the business so we called them. Not only were they professional, but very knowledgeable and they unclogged the drain and we have not had any problems since. I would recommend them to anyone. They're not the cheapest, but they are the best.

They are not independent contractors, they are a national company. They are qualified professionals. They did an excellent job.

The gentleman who came was on time and courteous. Their customer service was very courteous and very professional. They called numerous times asking if I was going to be home. They were very supportive and receptive to my issue.

They were a good company just a little overpriced.

The estimate was to give to the Montgomery County Consumer Protection Agency. Their estimate for the work done to my condo that already was done by the condo's management company plumber, RA Gray, was to prove RA Gray had overcharged me. Basically all they did was put in a pipe and a shut off valve in a coat closet, and they charged me over $1700.00. Michael and Son's estimate was $1275. The other company that did another estimate was less, but, Montgomery County Consumer Protection Agency wanted me to submit both of those and they both provided them to me to submit to the Montgomery County Consumer Protection Agency. I paid Michael and Son's for the estimate and was glad to.

I was very pleased. I intend to use them for follow up work.

This is the second time Donald Monroe, a plumber working for Michael & Son, came to my house. Donald replaced a leaky bathroom faucet and cleaned out the sink drain. I provided the materials - a Delta faucet kit - and Donald was able to reuse the old brass & wood handles that Delta no longer carried. The installation was perfect - faucet works smoothly, drain is clear and runs fast. Donald cleaned up the sink and removed the discarded faucet & packing material. Donald is an excellent plumber with exceptional customer service ability. In the future I definitely will request his service!! Thank you GG

I liked that they are located throughout the city that they can get to me accommodating. What did I really care was their prices were high and I was pretty surprised by that. The technician that they sent out, he just wasn’t in sync with my needs I was trying to tell him because I was remodeling my home, and he just didn't seem to be in sync with it, so I went with another company who is also on Angie's List and I am having them do the work now.

They did send someone else out to correct it. The person who came back was very competent and very knowledgeable unlike the first person. We would never use them again based on the first person but the other person was really good. They also tried to upsell us on everything. Instead of dealing with the problem, more of their emphasis was on trying to sell us other things they could do. We will not be using them again. They were the only company that was willing to come out. When the house was struck by lightning the fire department turned off all the fuses and they came quickly but we were not happy with the first person.

My entire house was having some plumbing issues. They were able to fix the problems. I will use them again in the future.

I only paid for the estimate and not the install because the price was too high.

There was a leak from the water main. It was Christmas time and no one else was available. They were courteous and professional. They came and fixed it. They did a great job. There were no problems and I did not have to call them back for anything.
