Master Roofing came out and examined the roof in detail and sent me an estimate the next day. It was very detailed and included the materials to be used and the work to be done. It was clear enough and specific enough that I felt I could understand what each party was signing up to. Rain interrupted the start date by one weekend, but they called me in advance to notify me of the change. They completed the job in two very long days in July weather. They cleaned up the job site before leaving. After some very heavy rains I was convinced they had done a good job, especially on the dormer, as well as around the vents and chimney. This is a family-run business that has a very experienced staff and crew. I walked into the business unannounced to see how I would be greeted and dealt with inside their business. From that very first contact I was treated with great respect and professionalism from all staff, the salesman, the field manager, and the roofing crew leader/supervisor and his crew. I especially want to call out the very experienced and knowledgable crew leader who led the crew on the roof. While keeping an eye on all the crew and their work, he displayed carpentry expertise that was very evident while he rebuilt my rotted dormer. I salute him and thank him for the care he took in his work. Master Roofing did a great job, and I would invite them back to my house to do more work for me in the future!

It appears that they did not fix the problem so I had to have someone else come out and fix it. I would recommend them and have dealt with them before. I think they are competent and timely even though they did not find the source. In the past they put a new roof on and did a good job. I will use them again in the future.

Went very smoothly. Obtained two bids. They were nearly the same. Went with master roofer as they live nearby soi i can reach out and touch them. They did my roof in 1986

The landlord paid for it so I didn't actually write the check and get reimbursed on that one. It was great. They were quick to respond. They were quick with the quote. They were quick with the work. They cleaned up after themselves. They did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. Getting the roof, the gutters, and the flashing done was the first step in fixing our basement water problem. We were desperate and it was less than a week when I first contacted them to when we had to get the roof on. This was the first time we had them out. Their price was very good. We had had quotes the previous summer that were a lot higher compared to their quote. They were absolutely responsive.

Overall, we were very pleased. The new roof looks great. I found the company to be very responsive whenever I had a question or concern. My only complaints - and they are relatively minor - is that they showed up 1/2 a day late and what was supposed to be a 2-day job ended up being a 3-day job. Also, while the work was going on, there were pieces of old roofing and lots of nails all over the yard, and piles of debris blocking the doors. It made entering and exiting (especially with kids and pets) difficult. However, I am happy with the price and the result, and would use them again.

They did an excellent job and they did it at a very good price. We had a very bad wind that tore off some of my siding up way high just down from the roof. I have a two-story place and it was up high enough I couldn’t get to it. They came out and repaired it. They did a couple of other repairs and didn’t charge me hardly anything. They did a good job. Also about two years ago, I had them put on new gutters for me. They did a good job with that too. I spent $225 to do all the repairs and I had them do three different things here. There were two different places that the siding had to be repaired and they had to get a ladder and go quite high up. I wasn’t going up there. I was afraid to get myself killed. When they were there, I showed them a spot where the roof comes in, part of the flange needed to be re-caulked underneath and they did that for me too. They did all three things for $225 and they did it in a very timely manner. It was really needed to be repaired right away because if it had started raining, it would have caused some damage. I got a quote from them to actually buy all new siding which was a good deal but they gave me such a good deal to repair it. They said they would get it repaired for me. I am surprised because when they knew I was looking maybe to replace the whole thing, they could have jacked up the price the other way, but they didn’t do it. It was cheap. So I got it repaired. I am very happy with them. They were great. I would definitely use them again in the future if needed; as a matter of fact, if I have a need for those services, they are the only ones I am going to call.

I am perfectly satisfied with the price/performance and result of the repair. However, I must add that they promised to give me a quote on siding the ceiling of my car port and after two calls by me, still did not show up or provide an estimate.

The job went fairly well and I am satisfied with their service. They also did a good job cleaning up after their work.

They did a fantastic job. The work is top notch, the saleman was very friendly and helpful with out being pushy. I was concerned about the mess made when they removed the existing roof, but they actually left my yard cleaner than they found it!! I would highly recomend them to any one looking for a roof replacement company.

I called and spoke with Frank Lloyd to ask for an estimate two weeks ago. When I got home from work there was a card in the door that he had been there and done the estimate. I spoke with him the next day, we discussed the estimate and options verbally. I received the written estimate the next day in the mail. Upon calling him back and discussing costs, he was able to do a payment plan over four months and on the last month after mentioning Angie's list (where I had not seen a coupon) he agreed to give me 5% off the total price. The contract was revised, signed all with ease. I was contacted on Monday by the site manager, work was done this week, most of Tuesday with a clean up and final work done on Wednesday morning. My yard, driveway and area around the house was totally cleaned up...if I had not see the men working on Tuesday I would not know they had been there!

Excellent experience start to finish. Sales experience not pushy, they took their time going through all the options, priced several options out for us, gave us pros and cons on each, even explained how the most expensive option was not the best way to go in our case. Installation was on time and completed quickly with very little intrusion into our lives. Everything was picked up and they left us with a clean front and back yard. We had one minor issue about two weeks after installation and they had someone on our roof take care of the problem within hours of our phone call. Roof and gutters made it through the DC blizzard of February 2010 without any issues. Two years after installation of the gutter guards we noticed a birds nest in a hard-to-reach place and Master Roofing is sending someone out to take care of it for us asap. This is the way a business should be run!

We originally called them in December 2009 to get an estimate. Someone came out right away and then we got busy with other things and never moved forward with the projects. We finally decided to get the job going in June so we gave them a call, since their estimate was lower than the other estimate we had gotten and it included more (i.e., rake board and larger downspouts) than the other companies estimate. I was impressed by the fact they honored their estimate since it had been longer than 30 days. Everyone we dealt with was very nice. The only challenge was to get them to return phone calls to schedule the work. However, the second call always got results. This was the case more so with the attic fan than the gutter and siding work, since they were handled by different teams. I'm very happy with the work they did and they even helped us do a couple of extra things while they had their ladders setup. I'm only slightly disappointed that they trampled some of my flowers in the back, but the flowers were in the only place they could put the ladder and they'll grow back next year. Overall, I'm very pleased with the work and will call again for roof work and siding work in the future

Two years ago they replaced the roof of my home. I'm highly satisfied with the work that was completed by them. The roof still looks great a few years ago. They were prompt and courteous. Last month I had them replace my siding as well.

Work was performed on time. Clean up was perfect. Sun tube installers did a beautiful job and left no mess.

The circumstances were that after the severe winter I had storm damage to my roof. I called several roofing companies to come out and give estimates. Understandably, a lot of homes had damage so response times were a little slow. All of the other companies I contacted were reasonable in their response time and said they would give me a free estimate. It took me 4 phone calls to Master Roofing, the first 3 times I was told someone would call me back and nobody did. Finally, the 4th time I called the representative said she would send someone out. She never indicated at that time there would be any charge. I called the day of the appointment and I spoke with the representative and at that time she said there was a trip fee ($75.00), and I told her I wasn't interested if they were going to charge me. She said since they had originally installed the roof they would waive the trip charge. However, I received a bill for the trip charge. I contacted them about this and they waived the fee. It has been frustrating communicating with them. Based on my experience this time with other companies, there are other companies I would recommend first. In all fairness, they did a good job on the original roofing job and I would give them an "A" for that work. If you want a free estimate for storm damage, I would suggest calling companies that specifically note free inspections.

They did not do a full roof repair. The company that originally installed the roof had allowed it to completely open up and they wouldn?t come back and fix it. Nobody wanted to touch the roof because they didn?t want to incur any liability. The person who came out was very personable and very helpful. I was happy with what he did. I was thankful that at least he was willing to secure that part of the roof that had become completely undone so that it wouldn?t fall off. He did not show up quite at the time that he said he would, but I was glad that at least he came.

They didn't have a lot of options - only about 3 different choices of grades. I thought the prices were pretty good. I trusted their work because we have hired them in the past for roofing, plus they have been around for years. They sent someone out to measure and then ordered the windows. They scheduled the work around our vacation schedule so that it could be convenient for us. Otherwise, they could have probably gotten the job done in a couple of weeks. The worker's did a very good job - they were knowledgeable and worked quickly. To actually install the windows it took them about 2 days. So far we are very happy with the windows - they are very easy to work with and much less involved then our old windows. I can just tilt them in to clean and it's easy to close them all when a storm is coming. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. It can be intimidating to have a big job like this done, which is why I am glad we have Angies List. If it is needed, I will hire them to put my next roof on, too.

They were wonderful to deal with. They were very quick on the job and did a great job. They even told us we should go with the people who put our original roof on but we felt it had been too long. We appreciated their honesty.

They did a very good job and we were very satisfied with the service. They cleaned up well and watched our bushes closely when doing the work. We would recommend them to other people because they work hard and their prices are fair.

Master Roofing replaced our roof in August 2001 just prior to our purchasing the property. We were impressed with the timely response of repair person when we were having trouble with the ridge vent leaking after repeated repair attempts. The problem was eventually fixed. On September 28, 2006, I called to report 4 small leaks, black staining and fungus growing on the wood. After repeated calls, someone finally came to have a look November 10. They said he would write it up. When my husband asked if he was going to replace the wood, he said, "Yes, I'll take care of that." We heard nothing. On November 27, I called to check the status and was told that they had been to the house on November 22, sealed up the leaks and rehung the front gutter (thank you). He denied that there was anything growing on the wood, and to just use a Chlorox and water solution to clear up the black staining on the wood. There is still one leak where the fungus is still growing (this is not mold).

I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE A VERY GOOD COMPANY. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. IT DID NOT TAKE THEM A LONG TIME TO FINISH THE ROOF. THEY DID A GOOD JOB.
