Description of Work: We started with a small bathroom remodel and ceiling fix- then we added painting and replacing lighting fixtures. The bathroom was easy. We met and picked out tile , bathroom fixtures etc..... Greg and the tile sales rep were very helpful in giving us suggestions as to what would work together. Very patient with all the options we were looking at. The timing with sub contractors seemed very spaced out but we filled in with additional painting request. The ceiling is a design stucco and although they did not get it right the first time they made it right with no trouble. The same with issues with the painting- they made it right

Description of Work: MW Construction remodeled our kitchen. We were satisfied with the overall experience, so we asked for a bid on our main bathroom. After receiving 5 bids, we again went with MW construction. They promised the remodeled main bathroom would be completed for our guests by Thanksgiving. Indeed they delivered! This is our second project with this company. We are working on more contracts/projects in the future.

Description of Work: We had MW Construction come out to give us an estimate on removing the load bearing wall between our formal living room and our family room and installing a supporting beam once the wall was removed. We decided they were the best company for us. They came out, removed the wall, installed the beam, and cleaned up all in one day.

Description of Work: They completely remodeled my raised ranch(split foyer) house, which is 2,200 square feet and two levels..They installed a new kitchen and two new bathrooms. They installed hardwood floors on the entire first level, and new floor tile throughout the lower level. New six pannel doors were put in throughout the house. They repainted the entire interior of the house. They constructed a new external facade around the main front door of the house. They installed crown molding throughout the first floor. They removed a kitchen wall to open up the kitchen to the living room. They assisted us in every aspect of the design.

Description of Work: prio MW construction first gave a very clear and professional proposal. They promptly removed the demo of our old kitchen and began their clear and defined progression of our new kitchen. First, they gave us suggestions as to where to go for our new appliances, tiles, flooring, kitchen cupboards and paint. All places that helped us stay within our budget. The granite shop we used, definitely had the best price and a good selection of granite. Be careful of the the granite shops install. Do not let them install, without Drew present. They put the cut line right in the middle of the sink. (Water and grout lines do not work there.) Again, the price was right. The granite is gorgous, but the install is not what I would call first class. The floors, tile and cupboards are all first class. Description of Work: Excellent contractor! Yes, I would contract with MW Construction Services, LLC again! Work included a complete kitchen remodel, new hardwood floors in family room, master bedroom and study installed, sanded and finished to high quality, drywall skimming and painting of five rooms and three hallways, new Hardi-Plank siding, soffit and trim and finally a decking replacement with Trex. All employees and subcontractors were first class and very respectful of our home! The project was completed on time and on budget. This is my third major home remodel and the experience with using MW Construction LLC was the best!

Description of Work: MW Construction built a dormer addition on the 4th floor of my Old Town Alexandria townhouse.

Description of Work: MW Construction added a bathroom to our finished basement and had some related work done to the finished section of the basement and to the utility room. Because of the location of the existing pipes in the house, MW Construction had to drill into the floor and install new pipes to the side of the house where we wanted the new bathroom. They also had to redo some of our HVAC because of space considerations, so it was a big project.

Description of Work: The interior of our house was completely remodeled this Spring into early summer. On the basement level, the existing paneling and drop-ceiling were removed along with a full bath that was stripped down and rebuilt. The bath was increased in size and was completely remodeled replacing a small shower with a jetted tub. A closet under the stairs was removed, and a new one was built adjacent to a new closet that houses our A/C unit. The basement window was replaced in the front along with the installation of French doors in the rear. We added an accent wall to the project and the paint lines are outstanding. On the main level, we had our kitchen re-sized and remodeled, 3 windows replaced, and a new front door and storm door installed. Popcorn ceiling was removed and was followed with the installation of recessed lighting and ethernet wire ran throughout the house. While the ceilings were down, they upgraded our insulation to a much more energy efficient grade. They also ran a wiring conduit and mounted our TV over the fireplace. The kitchen remodeling project included new cabinets, a glass tile back splash, and new granite counter tops. The kitchen floor was re-tiled as well. One wall was removed that housed our pantry. They were able to create a new pantry/coat closet in a guest powder room that we had deleted. Our townhouse had an over-sized brick fireplace that they scaled back by removing the brick surround and replacing it with the same granite as the counter top, which turned out to be a very nice touch. The changes overall give the main level a more open feel. On the top level, the full bath was remodeled, with a few design changes like tile work and a redesigned linen closet. Our master bedroom was rearranged, relocating a vanity and its closets. The room is now a much better use of space and is very modern. They built a custom closet unit which allowed us to convert the old closet area into another small vanity. We are very happy with the new bedroom layout and love the new storage.

Description of Work: I tiled the entire back wall behind kitchen counter; replaced my kitchen countertop; removed an reinstalled sink, faucet, and garbage disposal into new countertop; removed old appliances; ran 20A elec. circult to above the stove for a microwave/hood combination.

Description of Work: MW Construction did a 2nd floor addition, rear addition, and complete interior remodel for my husband and I. We were so happy with the process and will recommend MW to all of our friends and families. We were living in Maryland, and relocated to the DC Metro area due to a work assignment.

Description of Work: I had a small bathroom completely remodeled with new tile on the walls, floor and a new semi-frameless sliding door added. Although a small room, it needed a complete overhaul.

Description of Work: MW construction provided renderings, complete cost estimate and full explanation to add on a car port to my home. Despite many delays due to rainy weather, they did an excellent job of keeping the yard neat and tidy during construction and completed the work close to the planned timeframe.

Description of Work: MW Construction Services, LLC just came and gave an estimate three weeks ago for lots of renovations inside my home.

Description of Work: I got an estimate from MW Construction Services, LLC. I did not use their services. They gave me an estimate for roofing. They came out in the last summer to give me the estimate.

Description of Work: MW remodelled our 1965 split level home's kitchen. They ripped out all the old cabinets and tore out the existing soffits down to the bare walls. They installed new cabinets, new Silestone countertops, new appliances, a beautiful new undermounted Oliveri sink with built in drain. Also, they installed multiple wonderful new lighting systems. The kitchen was repainted. All our personal add ons: mounted toaster, custom ordered switch plates, mounted telephone were reinstalled. We kept the existing Pergo floor. It required care to do all this work with demolition and not damage the floor. (A new floor is typically the last piece of a complete remodel.) Plus, new pieces of flooring need to be added. We have lived here 22 years and have a home-based business. We are always home, are very clean and prefer order, so disruption was a major concern.

Description of Work: We had a minor remodeling job in our living room. It included removal of existing windows, modification to the structural side of the house, relocation of a mechanical duct, and installation of a high-efficiency wood burning stove/fireplace,chimney, mantel, stone surround, windows, ceiling fans,secondary heat ductwork to master bedroom, etc. The work has been finished and now we are simply waiting for a couple of closeout items - paperwork basically. Overall we are pleased with the end product and plan to use them again because they seem like an honest group and work hard to make the client happy. Plus their pricing is very reasonable. We worked off of permit drawings which means they aren't that detailed. They are great for concept but aren't always detailed enough for construction. The good part though, whenever we had a difference in material or spacing (we were going down to inches in some cases) they were always very helpful in making us happy and completing our end "vision" - and the kicker, it was usually with little to no cost. They did a great job with most of the items (foundation, siding, framing, masonry, drywall, etc.) and happily adjusted things as requested. We had a few items that needed rework either due to incorrect instruction or manufacturer failed equipment but they scheduled and follow-up on these. One really considerate item they did, that most contractor's wouldn't do, was pass along the savings of the fireplace unit to us. Being a contractor, they received a discount from the distributor and then they gave us the same discount. It saved us thousands of dollars which helped considerably in the final project cost. Another nice item was they met us at a stone supplier and patiently waited/helped as I took forever going over the stones. No complaints - not one. To make it worse, I didn't pick anything that I saw that day and I picked something from a different stone supplier. Very patient. During a very heavy rain storm their roofing sub must have missed sealing a bit of flashing but something was sealed just right and noticed some water coming in on the fireplace unit (the house was fine - all chimney related). We called as soon as we noticed and they were at the house immediately. They completely covered the chimney and a good part of the roof with the largest tarp I've ever seem - They fixed everything right away, no question, no issue - they were quite upset about all of it - probably more than we were - not positive, but I'd guess tat sub has been let go. To me that says a lot about their character. They took responsibility for their subs actions and fixed it all good as new. The work did take longer than expected - that's par for the course with construction though. Reasons were mixed - we made changes, manufacturer equipment defects, weather, county inspection delays and contractor scheduling issues. No one issue was the cause, What's the saying...figure a project will cost twice as much and take twice as long as you initially planned? Very true. We ended up doubling the size of the fireplace so guess who caused the price increase. Happily, they took it all in stride. Their siding and mason guys did beautiful work. The fireplace looks as though it has always been there, not an add-on. We would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: They designed and built a 504 square foot addition on my house including a bedroom, bathroom, walk-in closet and laundry room with a door to a 20 by 12 deck with a handicap access ramp to the deck. This included a full sized unfinished basement. They also installed a new front door, put a new matching roof on the rest of the house and installed a new high efficiency AC unit for the whole house, a new electrical sub-panel and a surge suppressor for the whole electrical system.
