We have used Mark twice. We first hired Mark about 18 years ago to do a variety of projects around our town home. Cleaning siding, painting trim, but the main project was rebuilding a deck. That deck is still as good as new. Our most recent project was rebuilding half-moon trim over windows on the outside and the entire wood frame around garage door. Mark used PVC for the window trim, and we watched the crew create custom pieces that were flawless. The garage door frame looks absolutely wonderful. They also repainted the hand railings for our front steps. I must say, they did not look that good when we moved in over 24 years ago. We also had our siding washed, trim painted, windows cleaned and deck power-washed and treated. Mark's crew was very respectful of our property and that of our neighbors. The crew was responsive to questions and eased any concerns very quickly. When they finished. We were left with a gleaming home and no sign of any contractors...nails, wood trimmings, sawdust, paint etc. They did a fantastic job, and we know we will be using Mark again.

This is the second project I have had done by Mark. Both have been done timely, on budget and first class workmanship. His staff are respectful of working in a home (no radios, loud conversation or eating, etc.), know their craft and work steadily. Also, there was never a hint of needing: an extra for anything. Altogether a pleasant experience.

Getting ready to sell my house and they were able to get my small job done very quickly on short notice in between working on bigger jobs in the area. It was a little pricey but worth it for the quality of the result I got and required time frame. Will definitely use them again if I have a need.

Repair to branch-damaged siding. Unable to get new siding since what is on the house is no longer made or available. MM team was able to take a strip of siding from elsewhere on the house to repair the slashed strip and then make a patch using different siding in a less noticeable location. They willingly came back to redo, since the first time was not the best solution.

We had a problem with water coming in around a below-grade basement door. We had tried a number of techniques to mitigate the problem with some, but not total, success. There was no source that we could identify. We had estimates from companies that, after a quick look, proposed extreme solutions at extreme prices. Mark did extensive testing (for free) and came up with a plan that involved some minor concrete work at a very reasonable, and affordable, price. After a few rains, our basement has stayed dry. Mark was easy to work with and his crew was knowledgable and professional. Highly recommended.

We hired Mark Meredith LLC to do some upgrading to our kitchen. In two weeks time, his crew leveled cabinets in preparation for soapstone countertops, sanded and painted the kitchen cabinets, replaced the kitchen backsplash, closed off soffit above cabinets, added decorative molding to the peninsula and plumbed the sink. In addition, we had them replace and paint the front door to the house, and paint the shutters to match. He and his crew were very courteous, timely and the crew worked hard to achieve completion. I would recommend and hire again for other projects.

Mark Meredith and his crew are fantastic! We found Mark Meredith after multiple consultations with other crews, each one not giving us the answer we wanted or not calling us back for our complicated project (installation of a washer and dryer, and also bathroom rebuild in an older condo). Mark came in, gave us a realistic rundown of his vision for the project, and listened to all of our requests, and his crew was available to start the project the next day. He was 100% professional, responsive, creative, knowledgeable, and genuinely an all-around good guy. He was also upfront about the cost from the beginning. His crew is just as amazing. Jose and Alphonso were super respectful, were always there to answer questions, and worked extremely hard every time we saw them. They used their vast experience to answer our questions and had a really good eye for design that we relied on. Our project came out on budget and on time and we are so happy with it. We will 100% be using Mark and crew for all our future projects (we will have them redo our second bathroom this spring) and have already recommended him to our friends and family. Thanks again, Mark!

I would highly recommend Mark Meredith, LLC for any roof work on a slate roof. For a good part of my life I have lived in houses with slate roofs and I know it is not always easy to find experienced roofers to do that job. This company acted in a very timely and professional manner. I would definitely use them again.

Short version: I hired Mark to make a floor in a basement room flat and level. There were some problems along the way, but Mark did not hesitate to make it right. Long version: A room in my basement intended for use as a workshop had a floor that was severely out of level (about 2" -- too much for me to fix with self-leveler) and not flat. Mark gave me two quotes: one for the "right way" of jack hammering out the floor and pouring a whole new one and one for a whole lot of self-leveler. I chose the "right way" since it wasn't much more expensive than the self-leveler. Snag #1: my floor turned out to be the standard 4" thick instead of the 8" we thought it was (I drilled a hole and we both measured, I don't fault anyone for this). Mark had no problem lowering the contract price accordingly. Snag #2: once the floor was poured and dry, I went at it with a level and it was full of high/low spots and un level areas. The first spot I measured had a 3/8" difference over a 6' span, and there were areas where the bubble on the level wasn't even between the lines. Confronted by this, Mark and/or his lead guy (whose name I forgot, sorry) told me that concrete really isn't their thing, no regular concrete slab is going to be "perfectly" flat and level, and that if I wanted that I should have gone with the self-leveler (I was very clear that the entire purpose of this project was flat and level, the old floor was perfectly functional otherwise). All of that being said, Mark agreed to fix it by having it coated with self-leveler. Fast forward about a month (for the concrete to fully cure) and they're back with leveling specialists (apparently a subcontractor). Fantastic. However, I notice that the product they're bringing in says that it's self-leveling underlayment. I had been clear throughout this entire process that nothing would be going on top of this concrete. The manufacturer of said product says that underlayment is not suitable as a "wear" surface (i.e. nothing over it) and makes a different self-leveling product that is suitable. Mark and the floor guy insist that the underlayment is fine. I don't know what to make of this, but I've been lacking that floor now for so long I opt not to delay it any further. Once the floor is poured and cured I inspect it to find that it's almost perfectly flat, within 1/16" or less over 6' and level. On closer inspection, though, I find an area that's "wrinkly" and has a bit of porosity where the boundary between individual pours is visible (this stuff is poured in strips), as if they didn't pour that particular batch fast enough or didn't get the water to cement ratio quite right. On even further inspection I find spots where these plastic markers they used, and just poured the new cement over, are sticking up slightly through the surface. That's disappointing, but I've run out of energy with this project. It's good enough. Maybe I'll give it an opaque epoxy coating to hide the visible defects (that should solve the

I purchased my house 2017 and the roof had been recently replaced by the previous owner but I was never given the name of the roofer. I noticed a leak in my closet which I suspected was from a vent that wasn't properly sealed around. I decided I needed to just take care of it and pay for it myself. I got a quote within 1 day off contacting MM and Carl came out and fixed the seal around the vent the very next day after that. In addition, they resealed around all the things coming out of the roof as a bonus. Top-notch quality and service. I highly recommend!

Our home was built in 1967. We bought it in 2009. During the home inspection the inspector surmised that the roof was replace recently maybe 3 years. Last fall we noticed that there was a wet spot developing in the kitchen ceiling above the stove and determined that it was because a leak in the roof. We called several places and contractors to see if they could fix the problem. None of the contractors were willing to just correct the leaking issue without replacing the entire roof. Then we called and talked to Mark Meredith. They were willing to actually listen to us and hear what we need. They came out and fixed the roof leak without having to replace the whole roof. We have had one of the wettest summers in years. There’s been no evidence of the leak since Mark Meredith fixed our roof. The work they did was “spot on”. The roof crew was professional, skilled and clean. They explained each step as they worked and took the time to answer all of my questions. The next project was to repair the kitchen ceiling where the water had damaged the interior. Again, the fellas that completed that job were outstanding. They were courteous, professional, conscientious and master tradesmen. We couldn’t have asked for a better job. Before they arrived, I took the opportunity to replace the light fixture above our breakfast bar and left two holes in the drywall ceiling. The crew came in and did an amazing job. 5 Star work!

This review is VERY late. Summer of 2017 I turned up my grill to get it ready and it had moved closer to the house. This ended up melting some of the siding. I called over MM and I think his son came over. This guy was a pro. Over the phone we chatted and I got him the codes of the siding. He came over, and then ended up going to 3 or 4 places to find the exact siding that matched what I already had. He also helped (and taught me how) to replace a shutter that fell off. This is a company that is perfect in all regards. The value, the quality and just the friendliness and work ethic. I haven't had any other issues, but if I (or neighbors) do, Mark Meredith is my first call.
