Maid to Clean

One of the things I love most about Maid to Clean is that I have two small dogs and they are so careful around them to make sure that they are ok and not scared of the cleaning. I have had so many other horrible experiences with other companies, and have NO issues with Maid to Clean. I have even used them to help do housecleaning for several of my co-workers who were going through rough times. Always nothing but positive reviews.

We used several cleaning services and found them unsatisfactory before finding Maid -to-Clean about eight years ago. We have been very happy with them right from the start. While they generally send the same cleaning crew, it really doesn't matter; all the crews we have experienced do great work. They pay attention to detail -- tops of door frames, etc. Their management is totally responsive to calls or emails about changes or comments or special work to be done. They are completely trustworthy in all ways.

As always, Maid to Clean did a wonderful job cleaning our office space. They are always courteous and thorough in their work and leave the place looking brand new!

Referred to me by a friend. I am glad that I found them. They do a very nice job. I asked for the same crew every time and for same crew that services my friend, "Group 2" They are eager to please and do as I most any thing that I ask them to do. They even bring their own step ladder and do not mind using it to dust the top of tall furniture. They are pricey, however, they are dependable, honest and accommodating. I get very good results b/c I am here when they come and can provide guidance. They are more than happy to accommodate.

This was an excellent experience. I am a pretty meticulous housekeeper, but between work, kids and the seemingly never-diminishing laundry pile, it is hard to keep up with everything, especially the detail work. I've used cleaning services in many past homes in other states, and I have to say this was one of the best, probably the best, services I've experienced. The team was on time, friendly, professional and, above all, detail oriented. Also, I love the fact that they charged by the hour, so you are not paying a generic price, but just for actual time needed for your particular house and no more. Highly recommend and looking forward to keeping Maid to Clean for every-other-week service.

I found Maid to Clean through Angie's List and they have provided regular cleaning service every other week at my house in DC for over a year now. They are terrific, and I will stay with them. They come in with a team, bring their own supplies and vacuums and a ladder, and leave the place spotless. In addition, they keep track of and remember all the things that could be forgotten -- emptying trash kept in cabinets, taking out the recycling also kept in a cabinet, how to clean the wood floors after they were just refinished, cleaning the fireplace, etc. They are incredibly responsive on e-mail, which is so convenient for me, and always remind you when a holiday is coming on your scheduled service day (which you can keep or reschedule). They always show up on time. Yesterday, they arrived during an ice storm like it was just a regular day, and brought me a holiday gift!

I have used Maid to Clean for many years in multiple homes in Arlington. They continue to provide extremely professional, responsive, and detail-oriented housecleaning services. Their use of environmentally friendly cleaning products is something I sought out as well for my family and pets. They are cost competitive in this market for the services they provide. The team shows up on time each week, and do a wonderful and thorough job. I highly recommend their services.

We have been using Maid to Clean for the last two years. They are professional, timely, and thorough. Twice a month has been sufficient for our household. Rescheduling appointments or scheduling additional appointments is very convenient through theire website. I recommend them to anyone looking for professional home cleaning service.

After using a couple of other companies where the service started well then got to be less consistent, I tried Maid to Clean. After ~3 months of bi-weekly service the quality has remained consistent and very good. They are a little more expensive than my previous cleaners but so far its been worth it in the quality and consistency of cleaning.

First, the company no "window" when I could expect them. They would call me 30 minutes before their arrival. While I appreciate the heads up, it would have been more helpful to know a window of time when I could expect them (like from 10am-noon). Second, I was disappointed with the cleaning. Yes, it was good on the big, typical stuff like vacuuming the carpet etc. But I was looking for more deep down clean... for the stuff in the corners and cracks sort of thing. And would I use them again? I probably would if I had the money but currently it doesn't fit into the budget.

We have always been happy with their service, and have used then for about twelve years at three different homes. They arrive at their appointed time, perform the cleaning carefully and efficiently. Since I also work from home it is important to me that they do their work as quickly as they can with a minimum of disturbance and they do. Of course the vacuuming and stuff is noisy, however the get it done and go. In the twelve or so years we have used them they have only broken one or two items and immediately point out the problem which I greatly appreciate! They have also had a few times where due to traffic or something they are late, they always have a manage notify me as soon as they are aware they will be late. They have also been able to handle a number of special cleaning requests very well in the time we have been using them.

We keep things in the house neat, but with my husband and my work schedules, it's challenging to do a more throrough deep cleaning of everything (we have a 2BR/2BA condo). I've never used a cleaning service before, but I thought it might be a good way to get our place in shape. I looked through reviews on Angie's List and found Maid to Clean. So before they came, I *thought* our house was pretty clean, but afterward, I realized I had no idea how awesomely clean everything could be. After submitting a request for quote via their website, they were able to come by on fairly short notice and gave me an arrival time window. They came at the very beginning of the window with a team of 4 ladies and immediately got to work. I was working from home that day, and they were able to work around me. They seriously vacuumed non-stop for THREE hours (I'm embarrassed about how much dust there must have been ...), washed all the floors, washed the windows, scrubbed the bathrooms top to bottom, emptied the trash, even cleaned the baseboards, and cleaned the kitchen - especially stove and burners - to a state probably never seen since it was brand new. The air in my house seems so much cleaner now - the service was outstanding. I think it took them maybe four or five hours total. Afterwards, I just had to call in to pay by credit card (they had mine on file). It wasn't cheap, but it was totally worth it and they are very clear upfront about what their rates are. Would use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

We are extremely happy with them. They are fantastic. I found them through neighbors. They have been cleaning for quite a few months now.

I do not have anything to compare it to, I have not used a cleaning service before but we have been using Mad To Clean for several years now every two weeks for our three bedroom 2 1/2 bath row house. They do a good job and do not take too long about it. Management is responsive to requests for change in service or on the rare occasion when I have had cause to ask for special care to be taken around something such as a new stove or television cables.

Maybe my responses should be in different sections but Maid to Clean performed the following:- swept and mopped the floors- dusted and sprayed all the wood furniture- vacummed the rugs- cleaned baseboards- dusted and windexed windows- detailed cleaning of the stove, microwave and toaster oven (inside/out)- cleaned all tables- scrubbed bathrooms- emptied trash- would have washed sheets but were freshly laundered so unnecessary

They came over and gave me an estimate for $175 for a quantity of three cleaners. They showed up with a quantity of four and they wanted to be here for an estimate three and a half to four hours. I just sent them away at that point and got a refund on the coupon I had purchased.

$420 to clean a townhome is outrageous by any metric. There were no add-on's to this service. The estimate, based on square footage, was $320, and I had a coupon from Angie's list. I've lived in this home for 5 years and I've never spent more than $200 to clean the entire home. This was intended to be a detailed cleaning fit for an open house. While the team did work throughout the 3 hour period, I can honestly say that it was dfficult for me to spot the newly clean from the old clean.

They are prompt and joyous. The four women who come in start working the minute they arrive. They leave the place sparkling clean. It would take me 3 days to do what they do in a couple hours. They are very polite and nice. The work ethic is fabulous. They use non toxic cleaning compounds. We have never had any lost or stolen when they have come to clean.

We contacted them for availability; they gave us 2 dates. My husband responded requesting the latter of the 2 dates and times and they said it was still available. He said great I'll give your office a call later with the credit card info (he was still at work and could not make the call right then and there). When he called later that day they said they had book the spot already. They have no system in place to hold slots for customers or even shoot a quick email saying "Are you still interested for this time?" which is the level of customer service we would expect for a company that has such a high rating. We will not be using Maid to Clean, and instead hire another cleaning service.

I scheduled a full house cleaning for December 22, 2011 a week in advance. They were supposed to show up at 7:30 AM After waiting over an hour, no one showed up. When I called the DC number listed on their website to find out where the cleaners were, the lady that answered the phone told me that the only serviced Virginia, and that I had the wrong number. When I told her repeatedly that the number for Washington DC on their website was the number I had called, she then told me that I was not in their system. She then told me to call the Maryland office. I called the Maryland office and they told me that I had called the day before to cancel the service. I told them I did not, and they kept insisting that I had called them and cancelled. After a few minutes, they offered to show up later in the day, but I was already late to work and could not waste a day waiting for them to show up. They offered to reschedule for the next day, but I needed the house cleaned on the day I had scheduled. Since they never attempted to contact me either by cell phone or email to verify any of the information or to verify that i had not called them to cancel, I highly doubt that Someone called to cancel, and I am betting that they just didn't schedule it in the first place. I rate this company as unreliable based on this experience.

We are extremely pleased with the outcome of Maid to Clean's cleaning. Our house has never looked so clean. All surfaces were dust free, the walls and doors looked so clean (I had gotten used to some of the marks on doors and baseboards), our woodfloors look awesome (we have a dog that drools a lot and obviously brings in lots of dirt), no dog hair any where in the house... We are just so pleased, everything was cleaned. They promptly arrived within their stated window and cost was within the quoted estimate.

The team of four (plus one trainee who was watching) arrived at 10:30am and immediately got to work. They began on the top floor - bedroom, main bath, and office - and worked their way to the basement, which had just been remodeled. The job took 4 hours. I have a lot of collectibles and some antique furniture around, and they were for the most part very careful with delicate items. They worked quickly and efficiently and were quite thorough. Perhaps too quickly - two small bathroom accessories were broken, but the manager promptly reimbursed me for those things.

Overall, they do excellent work. They are thorough and trustworthy. Nothing has been broken and I have some valuables on display. I have one minor complaint -- I have to emphasize that this is VERY minor. I also don't believe this can be avoided (this isn't my first housecleaning service) without paying an exorbitant cost. The complaint is that pictures almost always need to be straightened when I get home and things left lying around have been moved. Despite this, I am very happy with the work and believe I get a fair price (the price for cleaning is determined on an hourly/time spent basis).

The cleanings of our home and our rental property were very thorough and reasonably priced. We were very pleased with the initial cleaning of our home and so decided to initiate recurring monthly cleaning service with them, which they began today. The house looks great! I gave them a B on quality because they accidentally broke a small light fixture on the initial cleaning (which they promptly reimbursed us for), and a B on responsiveness because it took a few days for them to return one of my calls. Otherwise, their work has been "A' quality.
