"Thank you for taking time to submit a review. Maid To Clean enjoys cleaning your apartment from top to bottom and we are happy to take note of your special requests for cleaning areas of your home. Thank you for being a loyal customer, Cindi"
This past cleaning was thorough and glistening as always.
There are no surfaces that go uncleaned or neglected in my home. From my baseboards to light fixtures to my kitchen back splash to upholstered furniture to books on my bookshelves to the grout on my bathroom tubs to moving furniture so they can get behind and underneath it to the special care the staff takes with my delicate art work...I could go on and on about every nook and cranny Maid To Clean attends to.
I have a fair amount of valuable knickknacks and a dog that sheds at least twice a year. Whatever dust and dog hair I do not get in their absence they capture when they are here and then some!
The staff is so friendly, dedicated and caring. The company's small yet attentive and accurate customer care team make it their job to know me and my home personally and I feel truly comfortable with them and the staff that takes care of my home.
Usually I am assigned the same staff so that is a good recipe for consistency and familiarity which I think is key to a successful relationship.
I find their fees very fair and they are licensed, bonded and insured so I trust every aspect of this business.
I will have them back before my holiday entertaining as well and for many years in the future.

"We have many clients like yourself who only need us several times a year for a deep cleaning. We hope you'll call us again the next time you need a spring cleaning. The staff loved your porch!!"
They started upstairs where the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are. There is a ceiling fan in each room and there was no sign of dust on the fan when they were finished. They dusted all the furniture and vacuumed the area rugs and then mopped the floors. All of the rooms looked like we had staged the house for sale. The bathrooms were the other main areas on the second floor, they scrubbed the showers, sinks and toilets so they looked as if they had never been used. The mirrors, including a full length mirror in the master bedroom also looked great, not one finger print or other mark on them.
Now down to the main level, this is of course where we spend the majority of our time and we have hard wood floors throughout which have accumulated some "character" over the past couple of years. They took special care of the floors and whatever product they used worked wonders on keeping the shine to the hardwood. They cleaned all the counters and appliances in the kitchen and again, they all looked new. Not a smudge or a grease stain on the stove or the microwave. They dusted all the wood furniture on the main level and took the time to put everything back where it was. When I was looking on my bookshelf the next week, it was clear that they didn't just "dust around" the books, but they took everything off and placed it nicely back where it was. They also took the same care in the main floor half bath as they did in the upstairs bathrooms.
Finally, the basement. The basement is the smallest space, but still has a lot to clean, including one more full bathroom. They completed the bathroom first as it is in the back of the basement. Same results as the others, everything looked brand new. They again vacuumed and mopped the tile floors and area rug and dusted all the furniture. Throughout the house the crew wiped down all the baseboards and ensured the couple of ledges we have were spotless.
I consider myself to be a very clean person, and keep the house very tidy, but every once in a while I like to get a deep clean done by professionals and Maid To Clean did not disappoint. I will definitely be using them for my next deep clean.

If I have questions or want improvements they are always available for a
phone call and will do what they can to make adjustments. Sometimes I
travel out of the country and am not home so they are always very receptive if
I need to skip a month if my house does not need cleaning. I think the
thing I like the best is that the products they use are organic and are
natural. I do not like chemicals and try to keep a green household, so
they have a way using natural products and making things cleaner than what I
have ever seen when chemicals are used. They pay attention to detail, so
detailed that they see things I don't see! I always support women owned
businesses but Maid to Clean is truly unique in that the owner cares about her
employees who are female and takes care of their families as well. If you
choose them, you will not be disappointed at all!!
The real trouble started a little less than a year ago when one of the Maid to Clean crew somehow ripped the heating vent in the master bathroom clean off the wall, despite the fact that it was secured with four heavy drywall anchors. Accidents do happen, but we NEVER left Maid to Clean alone in our house, yet they didn't even tell us about the damage and the section of wall they destroyed (chunks of drywall came out with the screws and the vent). Instead, the culprit carefully leaned the vent back into place, unsecured. I suppose she somehow hoped we would not notice. Of course we did, and we complained to management (the first of many such complaints). We received a credit for a free cleaning the following week and we requested a different crew. This pattern of non-disclosure of reckless and obvious property damage would be repeated over and over. Some time later, we found an expensive statuette in our teenage son's room broken into two pieces. This was a costly collector's item I purchased in the Netherlands while on a business trip, and it had great sentimental value for both me and my son. We called and cancelled all future service, but both my wife and I were extremely busy and with time and great care I was able to repair the statue with a tiny drill bit, a magnet and some super glue. The statue lost its collector's value completely, despite the repair, but it was fit for display on my son's dusty shelf again. It was amazing that the Maid to Clean crew had somehow managed to break the statue while leaving a thick layer of dust on its shelf completely intact.
About a month later, we agreed to allow Maid to Clean yet another chance because, frankly, my wife and I were too busy to search for and vet another service. This time, my wife placed a large paper note on the statue with huge block letters "DO NOT TOUCH". Several cleanings later, Maid to Clean destroyed the statue completely, despite the sign. See attached pictures of the pieces of the statue. It was around this time that I began to think that the constant destruction was purposeful. Again, we ALWAYS made certain that at least one of us was in the house at all times when Maid to Clean was present. Perhaps they resented this. After the 2d statue incident, we fired Maid to Clean again. This time, we went about six weeks between cleanings; we purchased several Roombas and tried to do the job ourselves. Eventually, though, we realized that we were much too busy to continue to do this and we reluctantly invited Maid to Clean back into our home.
The next episode of destruction was far more serious. We renovated our kitchen in 2012 and installed a new dual-fuel stainless steel Kenmore Pro oven and stove. Several months after Maid to Clean returned to our house, one of their crew hammered the stainless steel oven handle with such force that it left a significant and unsightly dent. See attached pictures. I wanted to sue them, but my wife convinced me that we should keep them on until we found a reputable cleaning service to replace them. Again, we canceled service for a period of time, but eventually my wife called them back in, promising that she would find a better solution.
Today, while "cleaning" the master bedroom, the Maid to Clean crew twisted a heavy curtain rod off it's moorings, ripping the mechanism and curtain from the rod. See attached picture. This simply could not have been done accidentally -- it was deliberate vandalism, most likely in retaliation for our repeated calls of complaint to Maid to Clean's main office. The ONLY way this damage could have occurred is that a Maid to Clean crew member yanked downward on our drapes until the rod was twisted and separated. We have tried to be patient and understanding, but not only is the Maid to Clean crew careless and destructive, they also NEVER told us about any of the damage they caused, no matter how obvious. While the office people have been somewhat understanding, no one from the crew has ever offered an apology, let alone an admission.
These were the major things. Maid to Clean also had an extremely annoying habit of unplugging our appliances, including alarm clocks and DVRs, in order to plug in their vacuum cleaners. After they were finished, they would always leave the appliances unplugged. Many times this habit caused me to miss taping a favorite television show, or deplete the battery in our alarm clocks. But that's small potatoes. Maid to Clean's specialty is wanton destruction, even in a chiild's bedroom. They use a heavy vacuum to "dust" high shelves, which has the dual effect of wrecking the items on the shelf and leaving the dust intact. Check out the pictures of dusty shelves, taken today, about an hour after Maid to Clean left our home. This is the same shelf where Maid to Clean destroyed my son's statue. Maid to Clean has scuffed our counters, nicked our new kitchen cabinets, and pulled draperies and blinds off their moorings, among other atrocities. We requested new cleaning crews after the first few incidents, but after a while, we altered our strategy and asked for the SAME crew, under the theory that one crew would remember which things we wanted them to leave alone (like the problem with the electrical outlets). But that crew continued to wreck, chip, hammer and scrape our furniture and other belongings.
To sum up, Maid to Clean does a barely adequate job vacuuming and mopping, but they refuse to use a cloth to dust, instead using heavy industrial vacuums on tables and shelves, which inevitably causes serious damage to furniture, appliances and other items around your home. YOU DO NOT WANT THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOME -- EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. They are reckless, destructive and completely unapologetic. Please protect yourself and your possessions and find a reputable, responsible cleaning service.
