They arrived about 10 - 15 minutes late, but they did call me before the appt. to let me know they were on their way. I liked the fact that they got right to work as soon as I opened the front door. I left the house and was asked to return in two hours. When I got back, they were almost finished and they asked me to inspect the cleaning. I did a quick inspection and only found some a section of grout that was dirty in the bathroom, but they quickly cleaned it up as soon as I pointed it out. After they left, I noticed a couple of things had not been cleaned. They did not clean the top of the ceiling fan blades which were full of dirt. They didn't clean the light fixtures in the bathroom which are above my sink. There was a cobweb on one of the walls that extended to the ceilings. They did have a step ladder and my ceilings aren't very high so none of these things should've been missed. I wish they would've spent the extra hour (they were booked for three, but left after two hours) cleaning these areas. For the amount I paid to get the apt. clean and for the small size of the apt. these are not areas they should've missed.

Maid to Clean was great. We needed our apartment cleaned after we moved out so that we could get our deposit back. It really was dirty because we had just given up at the end there... They got it sparkling. I wish it had looked like that when we lived there. The price was higher than I would have wanted to pay, but I guess it was worth it. They sent 3 women for 3 hours and it was $285. They tell you that they can cap the price at a certain amount, so when you get to that amount the job is over. This is great because there are no surprises. They gave the estimate over the phone. They were very punctual. Perhaps too punctual. The women were told an earlier time than we were so they were left waiting in the cold as we came from our new place. I felt very bad about this as it was freezing out. I waited in a coffee shop around the corner and they called me when they were done to inspect the job before they left. They showed me what they could and could not clean. For example there was some crust in the oven that just would not come off. The manager was very communicative. She called the morning of, during the job and at the end of the job to let me know it was over. A+ for communication.

I was incredibly impressed with the responsiveness, accuracy, attention to detail and overall professionalism of Maid to Clean. I called on a Friday and was able to schedule a team for the next Thursday. The woman on the phone was informative, professional and her price estimate was accurate. I really appreciated that Maid to Clean charges a hourly flat rate based on the number of folks on the cleaning team. There are no upcharges for cleaning a fridge or an oven. The team arrived precisely on time and worked at a feverish pace. They brought their own cleaning materials and checked each other's work constantly to ensure consistent good work. One thing to note: The staff cannot clean shelves or areas higher than they can reach on a 3-foot stepstool. For some townhouses, this may mean that top shelves don't qualify. This wasn't really an issue for me, but it was the only surprise in a job that otherwise was perfect. My house had not been professionally cleaned in more than a year and needed a lot of work. Maid to Clean delivered beyond expectations.

We've tried many housecleaning services over the years and our reaction has always been "Eh." Maid to Clean, however, did a simply amazing job and surpassed all of our expectations. Their four person crew spent four hours at our home and it shows, the house sparkles and is cleaner than we've ever seen it (including when we moved in). Beyond simply basic cleaning, the Maid to Clean crew clearly paid extremely close attention to every detail, straightening the books on our bookshelf, getting under rugs and behind couches. It ended up costing more than we expected, but it was worth every penny.

Maid To Clean may not be the cheapest housecleaning service in the Washington area, but I believe that they are one of the best! I switched to them a few years ago after becoming increasingly unhappy with another cleaning service. Maid To Clean is very thorough in cleaning my house; they never cut corners. I also like that they use environmentally-friendly products. I also relied on them to clean my house after undergoing a long home renovation project; they did a fabulous job of the post-construction cleanup. The only downside of Maid To Clean is the cost (which is not very competitive) and the fact that you can't pick the day of the week when they clean your house (it is scheduled according to neighborhood/zip code).

They do a good job clean and are very conscientious. They are careful to leave notes on the rare occasions in which they have broken something -- and also give helpful notes when appliances, faucets, etc. are broken. Sometimes they notice the latter before we do. They are particularly good at adjusting their schedule to fit ours. It's easy to notify them online to request a change or simply cancel the next cleaning, and they email back confirming the request. We haven't done a systematic survey comparing their prices to others. Our impression is that they are not inexpensive, but we do believe that we fully get our money's worth. We continue to have them come weekly and we would recommend them. We'd give them somewhere between a B+ and A- on quality. We expect them in the morning but don't have a precise time for their arrival, so it's hard to grade them to precisely on punctuality. If you asked that they show up a specific time, they probably would.

Service was great. The company was very accommodating to schedule in the time I needed and the work was completed in the time estimated. The place looked great afterwards.

I booked the appointment over the phone, but also had the option of requesting it through the company's website. They provided a four-hour time window in which to expect them, which seemed like a long time, but they also suggested that we call on the morning of the appointment to get a more accurate time estimate, which worked well. They were flexible in making arrangements to be let in, if no one could be at home. The cleaning job was very thorough. They managed to remove some smudges that I thought were permanent and everything looked great. A couple of appliances needed to be re-plugged in, after have been un-plugged as part of the cleaning, but I took that as a sign that things had been moved around in order to clean more thoroughly, and was not troubled.

We contracted for an initial cleaning. We didn't give them any detailed instructions, were happy to have them do a thorough job. They did everything and then some, including washing down all the walls (we were thinking of having them painted, but can put that off for some time now). They cleaned blinds, took things down off the walls and put them back. We have contracted to have them do a more routine cleaning every other week.

It was a very poor experience. Their first cleaning was very extensive and very good. Then they started coming every other week, and it was very poor. We had a lot of things broken, including our storm door, and they claimed they didn't do it. We had all kinds of problems. When we canceled our service, they did refund the payment for the last cleaning service because it was so poor.

We were able to get an appointment for a week after our first call, and were told the cleaners would arrive between 9-11 a.m. and that we would get a call between 8 and 8:30 with a more exact time. We did not get the call, so at 9 a.m. we called the company to get an estimate. That was my only real complaint, we were waiting on that call to make arrangements for getting to work, etc. The team arrived right when they said they would. It was a staff of three ladies who got right to work. I believe one was a supervisor but I did not have the same experience others did of doing a walk-through before the cleaning began. Didn't really matter as I didn't have any particular instructions; I'm sure if I had I could have expressed them up front. The team took right around 3 hours to clean and then the supervisor asked me to walk through and check everything. Everything was spotless and the whole house smelled fresh. I have two cats and a dog but for just those few moments it was like I had no pets at all...until I let my dog back in of course! I did find a broken necklace but they had left a note that said the company would call me regarding the damage (will update when I receive that call). I'm not sure how it broke but it wasn't a particularly valuable or well-made necklace (just beads on a string) so I wasn't that concerned. I was very pleased with the cleaning overall. I noticed they did not bring in a large number of products or a whole lot of supplies and yet everything sparkled when they left--so it seems like their main cleaning product is elbow grease, and it works!

They are very professional and the work was satisfactory. They would change times on us, but they were pretty prompt. We did not like to deal with their supervisors. I would recommend them to others.

They did a adequate job and my only complaint was that I could not communicate with ANY of their employees - this alone crossed them off my list but after they had left I noticed that they rubbed off all the number and words (200, 300, 400 degrees, broil, etc.) on the knobs to the oven. They could not have done this and not noticed so this was upsetting to me. I lived in Mexico City for four years and it didn't take me long to learn functional Spanish. It's inexcusable that the employees that were in my home can not use simple words to communicate with me.

I have wood floors that that were left with no shine and were a little streaky. When they came in they just kind of looked at me like I was an alien. They didn't speak English. They did an OK job but they could have been a little bit more thorough.

My calls to schedule an appointment were returned promptly. Maid to Clean (MTC) sent 3 people. The crew arrived on time and their estimate of the cost was spot on. One of the women spoke enough English to understand my specific requests. MTC has a great Web site so there were no surprises. They have a detailed price list as well as a complete list of what they do or do-not include as part of their cleaning service. Few companies, in my experience, do baseboards and mini-blinds. This was standard for MTC. I was very happy with the work. They even did thing I didn't request, e.g. they took the time to put the shower curtain back up after I'd taken it down to wash it. The day of service, although my appointment was for 7:00 AM, my contact at MTC was in the office and available for questions.

Three employees cleaned the house from top to bottom, arriving early in the morning without me having to be there and calling when they were almost done. They cleaned the light fixtures, inside all the cabinets and closets, the floors, even in the basement and more. My favorite detail was that the house has a "three-season room," or finished front porch area that is surrounded on three sides by slatted windows. The windows are old, aluminum and with old screens and they are open most of the year. This makes for grit and more coming in. The employees cleaned all around the windows so that the sills were actually white again. It looked great. Further, the bathtub had been slow draining for weeks, so it had a build-up of soap scum and dirt. They scrubbed it very clean. They also managed to find things that the movers had left behind, even though I felt that the movers were great. Truly a thorough cleaning. Thank you! My only complaint is that it was expensive.

Extremely punctual. They cleaned spots I have never cleaned. They dusted and wiped ceiling fixtures, every little item was wiped clean. They vacuumed including the furniture, pulling out all cushions and pillows. They cleaned the kitchen cabinets, mopped the floors and shined the appliances.

I called to schedule an appointment and was told that they had to provide a full, top-to-bottom cleaning as my first service. I told the man on the phone that I had just had a full, $325 "move-in" cleaning two months earlier from another company and that I simply wanted a normal cleaning (floors, dusting, bathrooms, kitchen). I didn't feel that I needed my ceiling fans cleaned again (among other things). His response was so offensive (basically telling me that I was being cheap and that he wasn't going to simply take my word for the condition of my home). I, unbelievably, actually spent almost 10 minutes on the phone trying to convince him to accept my business. I failed. I think this company lacks adequate customer service and is penny-wise and pound foolish. His refusal to lose $100 dollars on one cleaning cost him thousands of dollars in my continued, monthly business.
