Maid Brigade Capital Region

This company does not deserve 1 star. Utterly the most TERRIBLE service ever. Maid Brigade has a serious scheduling problem. I had a regular scheduled cleaning. I made scheduling concessions often for their benefit. They changed the date of my cleaning without my approval. Their scheduling issues were so horrible that they missed a month. I called the office to complain that I didn't receive my monthly cleaning. They had the audacity to tell me that they sent notifications to me. I said no you didn't and I rechecked my text messages. They sent me a text as I am on the phone as "notification". Customer service was rude and did not try to reschedule. They didn't acknowledge that they didn't call, text or show up this month. When I tried to tell them I'll just wait until my cleaning date in November, they told me that they could not "personalize" a schedule for my needs. I wanted a cleaning that was 3 weeks away and they said that they could not accommodate my needs!!! They tried to make their terrible scheduling issues my fault and had an indignant attitude. The office is badly run and incompetent. They also have problems keeping their cleaning people. There was always someone new who did not complete the job adequately. The last time they came they left obvious dust on my ceiling fans. Their service become inadequate. I would not recommend Maid Brigade, (571)-404-6282, to my worst enemy. RUN.....

The staff arrived promptly, worked very efficiently, and left the house spotless, including the kitchen appliances.

They come out every other Friday. I think you call into the main office and then they send someone out in your area. It works.

The ladies do very good work. I enjoy seeing Diana and Kency every 2 weeks. I'm not convinced--as the rates periodically increase--that the maids actually see any of that additional revenue. Other than that, I am quite satisfied.

They've been pretty consistent. I think they're professional. They listen to what our preferences are. They're very considerate. The ladies came in and initially we just went through the house with them. Now they just pretty much come in and go about their business. They always check in before they leave, in case we have any issues. They are very professional ladies.

Cleaning team failed to mop and clean floors

It was very successfully until we had an incident where they came in with a new member and they managed to get in my drawers and stole jewelry and the company was very uncooperative into directing it and fixing the issue and I found out from the police that the same crew member was being investigated in Montgomery Country for a similar incident. They denied that there was any problem and it couldn’t possibly had been one of their people and made no offer of covering it with their insurance or anything else. We have used them for a number of years. Their level of service reigns depending on the crew. They just didn’t given us care to the quality control or to the people that came to work for them. I think they deteriorated overtime. We would give a preference to morning or afternoon. Sometimes they showed up at 8:00 in the morning without warning and other times, they came in and treated 1:00 as morning. We had some very good crew but overall, on reflection, after they were done and the bad experience, I don’t think they did well at all. I think they got comfortable.

I've been using Maid Brigade off and on for a couple of years for ad hoc cleaning and have always been very pleased with the service. They arrive on-time, bring their own materials, are generally accurate in their time estimate to clean, and the ladies are pleasant and work hard. They also seem to pay attention to detail - in about 6 cleanings I've never found an area that they've missed. The downside has always been that they are considerably more expensive than my old service - which, ironically I fired for damaging our furniture, so you do get what you pay for. I had them in to clean again yesterday and have just contracted with them for bi-weekly cleaning - which thankfully is less expensive than ad hoc cleaning (although still pricey). Yes, they're expensive, but there's peace of mind for me in knowing that they'll do a quality job. I'm not sure how I'll feel long term about their scheduling process (you schedule a day, and then call the day before to get their actual arrival time), but I work from home most of the time, so it hopefully won't be an issue.

I don't think any of these housecleaning services do better than a B. They shouldn't raise the rates. I have been looking for someone else because they raised the rate significantly. It was $135 and they raised it to $155. They clean for about an hour and a half or two. They send three people. They are okay not great. I have used them for years. I have got to do something because that is too much.

Another cleaner kept on postponing a scheduled cleaning till the second to the last day, which they also canceled. Fortunately, Maid Brigade had an availability. Upon arrival, the lead maid relayed that an additional cost of ~$89 will be added for extra work, to which I accepted. I was very pleased with their work, timeliness and communication.

Everything turned out fine. They did a great job. They had to stay longer because the job required them to be longer so we had to get through that but apart from that, everything was fine. Given what they had to do, I think they did well. I can't think of anything they could have done better. They did everything well.

the process went extremely well. the ladies were professional and very good. they did excellent work. Some areas needed extra effort and they did great to take care of these problem areas.

We have been using them for several years. They do good work and show up on time. They have several crews available so if one crew is busy, they can have it covered with somebody else. The last somebody we had before was a small start up and they didn't have enough staff. We did shop around and they were willing to work with us on price. We will continue to use them and as I said we are on a regular schedule.

They did a good job. They charge me every time they come out so there is a monthly charge. Most of the time I get the same crew. When I get the same crew I get the same level of work. A couple of times they send another crew in. They usually send a crew of two and they bring all of their supplies with them. I have always felt like I could trust them in the house and they always call ahead of time to let me know they are coming.

It was fine. I've used them for at least a year, every other week. It's based on the size. I came in contact with them when I looked online. They were responsive whenever I call or if I have any questions.

The house is 4800 sq. ft. yet the office sent only two women who didn't arrive until 11:15. They were working every time I saw them (I tried to stay out of the way); however, the quality of the work was awful. I checked the master closet after they were done, and the shelves were still covered in dust. They had to redo it three times with me watching the third time and showing her what needed to be done (use a cloth not just a vacuum). As I had explained at the outset, the prior owner had a dog and we had redone the hardwood floors so there was a lot of hair and dust. The utility sink was still covered in dirt, and I had to ask them to clean it again. The second time it was white. None of the fans were cleaned. They mopped the basement and asked me to check it before they left. There were clumps of wet dirt on the floor. I took several paper towels and wiped the floor they just mopped. The towels were dark brown. I took them upstairs and showed them. At this point it was 6:15. They were tired, I was tired and starving, and we all just wanted to go home. They said sorry, but didn't offer to redo it. I said forget it, let's go home. They left the bag of trash on the deck so I carried it out to the garbage can. The following day when we were moving into the house, I discovered that although they were in the kitchen for a while, they had wiped down only some of the cabinet shelves and only in a perfunctory manner, missing the corners and edges. They didn't clean the doors, the backs of the cabinets, or anyplace they couldn't reach easily. Some of the lower cabinets weren't cleaned at all. I spent three hours while the movers were bringing things in scrubbing the kitchen. The sponges I used were covered in filth. It was disgusting, and I was really mad. A few days later, as I was unpacking, I discovered giant dust balls between the railings on the stairs. I was working full time, had a child in school, and was unpacking, so I didn't get around to calling the head office until later in the week. They told me they have a satisfaction guaranteed policy, but only if you call in the first 24 hours. After describing the situation to two different people I was told they would give me a credit for some nominal amount, $50 or $75. I told them I thought they should give me a 50% discount. She said if I had called right away, they would have sent someone out to redo the place and they could have seen the errors for training purposes. While they makes sense on one level, I was moving the next day and was directing movers in and out of the house for 10 hours (and cleaning the kitchen). Needless to say I was a bit busy. I informed her that I had taken pictures. She asked me to send the pictures and said she would reconsider the discount based on that. I spent about an hour trying to send the pictures to her, another wasted hour of my life, until finally I was able to do so. Eventually, after multiple calls, some of which were returned of some of which weren't, they agreed to refund $150. I still believe that is grossly insufficient, but I had wasted so much of my time dealing with them that I said fine.

Two ladies arrived right on time at my requested start time. They started upstairs and worked their way down. Fans and furniture were dusted, and I can't remember the last time my bathrooms looked so good. They shook out rugs and wiped down windows. The cost included a promotional coupon of $25. It was definitely worth it because I needed help catching up.

They come every three weeks. We’ve been using them for over 10 years. They really aim to please. If something goes wrong, they take care of it. They’re always doing quality check that’s why I keep them. They’re definitely amazing. The cost is extremely reasonable for what they do. Sometimes I wonder how they could do it for that price. I would have them come every week if I could. They’re very responsive. They even fill out something to let me know who was in the house. At one point, they stopped doing that because they do everything online. I explained to them that I have a security clearance and I need to know whose coming in my house. They’re very accommodating. They found a way to make sure with people like me with security clearance to get what I need. They’re punctual. You call and ask them what time they’re coming and that’s when they come. They’re very professional and very nice. I have no complaints.

They did a great job as they usually do. (We had them come out every two weeks for regular cleaning service,for the last year). Kitchen and bathrooms were scrubbed pretty thoroughly and we were happy to leave a clean home for our new tenants.

Tried them a few years ago but wasn't impressed. Decided to give them another chance. For the initial first time cleaning, they did a great job. They even washed my windows, inside and out. They are a little pricey. I have decided to hire them on a monthly basis. Will see if they keep up the good work.

The people who have cleaned my house from Maid Brigade have always been very efficient. They have done a good job. I imagine the price is competitive, I haven't compared them. I use them once a month. They do dusting, they clean the bathrooms and they clean the kitchen very well. They vacuum and wash the floors in rooms that need that. If I wanted them to do the dishes they would. They have asked if I wanted them to make the beds, but I never do that.
