We called that morning, they were here early afternoon, no weekend extra charge. By the time they got here the furnace appeared to be working fine, the house was warm. Our tech was Dustin. He did a great job! He did a complete check and cleaned the heat sensor just in case. He only charged us for the call, not the cleaning.

the work is excellent. the problem was I was scheduled for a 12-2:00 appointment. I called at 11:00am to confirm - all set I was told. At 2:15 I called again and was told they were running late and would be at my home at 5:15-5:30. I let them know I would be out and would call at 5:00 which I did. I was called back at 5:15 and was outside - the manager left a message to call back in 10 minutes or I would lose my appointment time. I called back in FIVE minutes - they had already rescheduled the plumber so despite waiting ALL DAY, no service and had to reschedule for 2 days later. I called and emailed the manager asking for a call back and consideration for compensation for my time and their errors - NO RESPONSE. Very good quality work - Very poor customer service!

We had them for 20 years. It's just lately they have all these foreigners and sometimes they don't speak English that well. It was much better than it is now. It's just because of their employees.

It was alright, it was no problem. But before that, someone had come and said we needed a new outdoor air conditioning unit, because the thing had all kinds of problems. Flow sent someone else, and he said "No, it didn't need that, all I had to do clean it out." He did service it and cleaned it out and it's alright. They're a little more expensive. Some of them don’t speak English so well. I think it was $165 for the two seasons, for spring and fall. They need to monitor their service people to make sure they know what they're doing.

They came the next day after I called them. They did a quick diagnostic and was able to give us the estimate. It was a few days before the equipment came in, but they provided us with a window unit to make our house liveable while we waited. Came in and used booties through our house and never went out with them on. Very professional and were done in one day. Showed up how to set up our new thermometer and showed up all the components of the system before leaving. I would HIGHLY recommend this company. I am sorry we didn't find them sooner. Price was for all the equipment AND the labor. Mainly the equipment.

Tech showed up right on schedule and systematically troubleshot the problem. When he thought he knew what it was, he did some more testing to confirm because his diagnosis was leading to an expensive decision. He explained what he was doing and what the results meant, as well as our options for repair. Ultimately, the fiber optic camera showed what he suspected - a cracked heat exchanger. He also measured higher than normal levels of carbon monoxide in the exhaust, which meant the furnace had to be shut down as a life safety measure. We were fortunate. This story could have had a much more unhappy ending. As it was, we found out why the furnace wouldn't work and made a plan to replace it all for the cost of a diagnostic visit.

I called on Friday night, and got a Saturday morning appointment. The company notified me when the technician was on his way. My only complaint is that he unknowingly violated our building's parking and security procedures by letting himself in, but he hadn't been here before and I didn't stress the procedures since the company had had OTHER technicians here before. He found the problem quickly (which was as the sticker said - condensation triggering an overflow shutoff valve), repaired it quickly, gave me some tips on how to avoid a recurrence, and had the unit working again in moments. I was pleased enough that I bought a service contract to have someone service the unit every spring and autumn. So I will definitely be having them return.

Called for an estimate. I was told that someone would call me. I'm still waiting two weeks later.

Short version: very satisfied and would use them again. Long version: Air conditioning in my condo unit went out on one of the hottest days of the summer. After contacting several other companies, all of whom had at least a 48-hour wait for an appoitment, I contacted E.M. Flow, who said they would be able to send someone out that day. While they could not give me a specific window, they said "probably early to mid afternoon," and indeed, my wife received a call shortly after noon, and the technician was at our condo a half-hour later. He had no problems getting up on the roof, where the a/c unit is located (after two other companies told me they couldn't service roof-top units), figured out what the problem was, and had it fixed within about an hour, and had all the parts that required replacing -- dual capacitors and a hard-start kit -- with him. It is a little difficult to judge the value for the money, since I have never had this kind of work done before, but for the same-day service, professionalism and efficiency it does not seem unreasonable.

I can't say enough good things about "Chip." He worked from the minute he arrived until the minute he left, nonstop, for two days. The best tech on the job, hands down. He installed the air handler, overflow pan, air scrubber, etc., in the attic. He invited me into the attic when the work was complete and explained the job to me. His work area was kept spotless. An A++++++ employee. The system has operated beautifully this summer. Two snafus . . . (1) the unit delivered was oversized in relation to our electrical capacity, requiring a delay in installation due to a needed upgrade in the electrical, and (2) on the second day of the job, a different tech (not Chip), tracked mud in and out over our hardwood floors and down the basement steps when working on the condenser installation and did not clean up, but rather, opted to clean out his van (name unknown).

When my 12-year old water heater ruptured and starting leaking water onto my basement floor late on a Sunday afternoon, I immediately called M.E. Flow to see if they could help. Since I have experienced this kind of water heater failure in the past, I knew to turn off the heater's water valve and the gas line (the burner and pilot had been drowned out by the leaking tank). I also hooked up a hose to the tank's drain in order to avoid the remainder of the 50 gallons of water dumping into the basement. The person who answered the phone was very courteous and gave some good advice (basically the actions I took above). When I told her that I was OK to wait until the next day for a service call, she took my contact info and assured me that someone would call first thing next morning to set up an early appointment. Everything went exactly as promised, I got a call around 7:45 AM by Melinda who was very helpful and asked all the right questions about my problem. She informed me that one of the technicians would arrive between 10 AM and 2 PM, with an effort to make it earlier in the stated time frame with a 30-minute heads-up call. I received that call about 10:10 AM and the technicians arrived about 25 minutes later. I am very pleased with the excellent, efficient, and professional installation that Sean and Eddie provided. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and capable at their jobs. M.E. Flow uses Bradford and White for its supplier, which in my opinion is a good brand and met my needs and expectations. The price was reasonable and within the expected range. No one likes to deal with major appliance failures. But M.E. Flow and its team did a great job taking care of my problem. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking help with water heater problems or looking to replace an old one before it fails. I especially appreciate the great job performed by Sean and Eddie. Moreover, I enjoyed talking with these two gentlemen who were the epitome of professional and friendly. Thanks to them for making a bad situation bearable, if not enjoyable.

Plumber noticed that I need to replace duct work for water heater so that was an additional $400 that was unexpected. Very professional and good service overall. Plumber was Milton C.

Our air conditioning stopped working Sunday night during a heat wave. Monday morning we called several local HVAC firms asking when they could come to our home. Most said Tuesday at the soonest. ME Flow was available that day but could not give me an exact time--it could've been as late as 8 pm. About an hour later they called and said a technician was on his way. I was so happy! The technician was very friendly and knowledgeable. He replaced the capacitor and had the unit up and running in about 5 minutes. It was a true relief to have our A/C back on what turned out to be a day with heat index temps as high as 105 degrees. We will use them again.

Wow.. Super impressed with this company. You have a customer for life. Aaron showed up on a Sunday morning and was not only extremely polite, knowledgeable, efficient and professional, but the price was extremely fair. Thank you for being an honest reputable company.. not always easy to find.

Replied same day before holiday weekend for air conditioner not working. Gave me time frame and called 20 minutes before arriving. Checked unit and found faulty fuses. Did check on system since old and we didn't have maintenance contract. Found another potential problem but said can wait until fails or get rechecked before next season. Very polite, professional, wore booties when in home.

I have a scheduled appointment for follow on ductwork as my current heat pump replaced the 1939 oil furnace and cooling unit outside and needs more returns and supplies of a larger size too .

Dustin Searfoss was the assigned technician. He was punctual, listened very carefully to my concerns, and took care to explain what he was doing to resolve the issue. He resolved the issue and got everything functioning quickly. He has an outstanding customer service orientation!

Dustin Searfoss showed up because we could smell a very faint gas odor coming out of the registers. We weren't even sure it was a problem, but it was bothering us. We have a maintenance contract with M.E.Flow and they sent Dustin. He found one important problem developing that could have gotten worse without attention. He fixed the problem and then checked and re-checked everything else. "Safety first," he said. His professionalism and attention to detail impressed us no end. Because we were under contract, there was no charge even though this was not the routine maintenance date. We will continue using Dustin and M.E.Flow for a long time.

It was excellent. Originally, they were scheduled to come first thing in the morning. They called and said they wouldn't be here until noon. I told them they needed to get out so that they could complete the service on that day. They arrived 15 minutes after calling me. Patrick was very knowledgeable and didn't try to sell me something that I didn't want.

This was our Winter Service: Dustin, the technician,took his time to do a very professional job. He spent time to instruct us on how to program/change the settings on the new thermostat. See above on all that he did. He was very professional & friendly. This not unusual for M.E. Flow company. We have had them service our furnace for over 40 years. They are always on time & prices are within reason, there is never an"over charge". Highly recommend M. E. Flow to anyone to service your furnace & A/C, as well as servicing you gas water heater. They are the professionals in this business.

Another great experience with M.E. Flow. Truly love these guys! This time Mac came, and he was really personable. For $140 he came and tested all our pipes, and helped me get the house ready for winter. We labeled all the pipes in the basement so that I have a better understanding of what turns things off and on. This was a great education, and terrific maintenance plan for avoiding bigger problems down the line. Mac came right on time and was happy to answer all my questions about our plumbing. We've now had M.E. Flow come to our house several times, and every time they have been top notch. We generally give Rodney, their manager a call before they come. He always makes sure we get their best service. Nice to be with a provider whose staff is steady - and who we've built a relationship with.

M.E. Flow has earned my family's loyalty due to their honest service, responsiveness, and overall professionalism. We purchased our first home this year and during the home inspection process, an incorrectly installed hot water heater and boiler system were brought to our attention. In order to negotiate the sale, we needed to consult with an HVAC professional and, despite calling several in the area, M.E. Flow was the only company willing to engage with us productively even though we did not yet own the home yet. Their professionalism and honest assessment of the situation allowed us to negotiate the sale to completion and eventually hire M.E. Flow to install a Weil McLain high-efficiency hot water heater and boiler system in our new house. Despite challenges with a 95-year old house, an unexpected broken pipe buried under our home, and a behemoth of an old system that had to be removed before installation could begin, M.E. Flow handled each development with consummate professionalism. We now have a top of the line system, correctly installed, and with an incredible warranty. As the weather has turned colder, M.E. Flow has made two trips out to routine system issues - air in the radiator lines, etc. - and never charged us a dime. We also retained M.E. Flow's A/C expertise to clean and inspect our A/C system - including cleaning our air handler coil. The technician was more than capable and addressed all our questions. My only critique is that when you're dealing with folks from across M.E. Flow - heating, A/C, and plumbing - it can sometimes be hard to get a hold of one person who can tell you what is going on. That said, all we had to do was ask and it was taken care of and our level of chaos might have been more due to the size of the job rather than a regular occurrence. Overall - we highly recommend! A true find in the D.C. area!
