We remodeled our 1965 house in Leesburg VA in March and April--including completely ripping out the floors and walls of our old bathrooms and redoing the ancient plumbing--and got an estimate from another local plumber (Bowman's), which was absolutely insane. We finally picked ME Flow, and all I can say is that if you want quality plumbing for a reasonable price, they are the ones to call. Ask for Justin, a young master plumber who appears to come from a time in the distant past when workmen were polite, knowledgeable, and honest. You can't go wrong with this company.

I had called the fire department the night before for a "smell of gas" and was told to get it inspected; ME Flow came by the next day as an "emergency" call and did a fantastic job; he inspected it, gave us a part that we needed and was very helpful and informative into how to take care of our HVAC unit;

They do air duct work and they also do heating and other maintenance. They came out initially last spring, he was a little bit pricey on the air conditioner and the heater unit installed in our sunroom. Compared to the price of other people, they really have a decent amount because other people wanted to do this job were outrageous. They really understood that we wanted it to be practical for the room. They did an excellent job.

It went well. The plumber was prompt and made the repairs quickly.

Repair guy didn't check in with me first but with condo management engineer and was with them when the water was shut off and was draining. I wasn't aware the repair guy was on the property when the water was shut off and was concerned that he wasn't here and that the water was off and time was running. Repair guy knocked on door and then explained, and proceeded to the closest housing the valves to be repaired. Came in without making a mess inside on the way out to the closet. He cut off the bad parts and then replaced with new valves and connectors. cleaned up the area and departed through the condo without making any mess.

The tech was ridiculous and lied to me twice. He told me that my refrigerant was an old type and cost more to add then did newer refrigerants..... then he told me that I had a leak and that it could cost up to $1200 to search for and repair the leak...... After he added refrigerant I paid almost $500 for the service call and the addition of refrigerant.... This year, the refrigerant once again ran out due to the leak. I called a different company and my entire bill, with adding refrigerant AND finding and repairing the leak, was $288 (plus $25 tip).

Since we hadn't had the unit inspected since we moved in to the house four years ago, I decided to purchase ME Flow's Energy Savings Agreement for $140, which provides an inspection of the furnace and another inspection of the A/C unit during the year. Repairs should include a 15% discount to standard rates, and I should receive "priority service" if needed. I was not surprised to learn on the technician's first visit, on 1/19/11, that the furnace wasn't working properly. On cold mornings it would turn on, turn off, turn on, turn off, and would take forever to heat up the house. I didn't know anything different, though, since it always worked that way since we moved in. He was very thorough and spent about 3 hours diagnosing the problem: he found that a part was faulty and that not enough air was going through. He recommended a different kind of filter, which I went out and bought later that day. ME Flow had to order the new part. The bill for the man hours was $240 (was $283, 15% Savings Agreement). The new part was installed 2/2/11 by the same technician. He continued to test the system, and found that the new part, by itself, didn't quite do the job. He recommended yet another filter that allows more airflow, which he supplied. He also recommended another intake vent right at the base of the unit, which he supplied and installed. With regard to the vent installation, I do have to note that ME Flow had installed another, very cumbersome (in the utility room area), intake vent two or three years ago to alleviate the air-flow problem. I guess it wasn't enough... The part was still under warranty, but I was billed $119 for its shipping. The man hours, filter, and vent installation came to $341. I felt that the $119 shipping charge was exorbitant, so I called the ME Flow office to discuss it. The receptionist told me she would need to check with some other folks but would look in to it. She called me back about a week later and said they could reduce the shipping charge by $60, but even better: she found that the math was done wrong on my bill and I paid $100 more than I should have! So ME Flow cut me a check for $160, which I received in another week. Our furnace runs great on cold mornings now--the house heats up much faster! I appreciated their willingness to look into the charges and to adjust my bill.

They are very reliiable and did exactly what they said they were going to do. They had the best price we found and they were very reasonable.

Generally they are good but they are expensive and they will definitely go for the more extensive repair than is necessarily required. I've used them since 1999 and they have done a lot of stuff for us. I went to another guy and got it for about a third of the cost. M E Flow wanted to sell me an expensive furnace and I got the knock off brand for $2,000. They support an entire company and I used a guy that comes in on the weekend on his off time. They do a very good job if your husband is not unemployed. They are very, very nice and will come right away. Their customer service is very good. Their estimate was very high.

They are dependable. A contract is a good idea, because it saves you a lot of money. I have been satisfied with their services.

The charges are part of a yearly contract. We have used them in the past. I use them because if there is an emergency there is an immediate response. The work is almost always completed satisfactorily in one visit. They get it fixed on the first try. I switched to them when the general manager of another company moved to M E Flow. I moved with him. That's how I first got there. I have been satisfied with the change. He has since left them. I have no complaints. We will continue to use them in the future.

I called another company as the problem was not corrected and the unit was noisy outside. The tech replaced a part that regulates the freon going into the A coil inside the unit in the house. Tech stated this was a common problem as he had replaced 2 earlier that day. Tech checked the pressure and temperatures of the lines and determined that freon level was way above what it should be, approx 2lbs, huh! He corrected that and said I was lucky as that could've damaged the compressor, the overcharging with freon.
