Description of Work: They stopped a leak and replaced the kitchen faucet. That took 3 separate trips. During the first two, during which he repaired two problems, he didn't have time to install the (needed) new faucet. It would have been nice if he could have done everything in one trip. But the work was quick, clean, and effective, price was very reasonable. I recommend them.

They installed quality sturdy gutters that allowed more water to be carried away from the foundation. They identified and solved a couple of problem areas. Now the basement is dry. Thanks Guys!

Went alright, but the shower pan they did for us leaked and they had to come back again to get it right, and their prices were higher than average. Very responsive to emergencies so I would call them again in that case, but may use a different plumber for planned work in the future.

Engelking installed our new 1,500 square ft. flat roof one season after we purchased our Mid-Century Modern style home in 2003. We sought bids from four vendors and his bid was lowest, half of the highest bid. He explained the job very carefully, and his crew did excellent work. His crew examined the existing decking for rot; and replaced plywood, trim, fascia, and molding at time and material rates. I was not interested in going up on the roof and inspecting what he was replacing, so he provided Polaroid snapshots, which I still have. Since then, Engelking has done all our roof, gutter, and downspout work. I referred our neighbor (another flat roof) and a friend who owns a home in Arlington. Here are some of the jobs Engelking has done for us: -- 2008 – Our downspouts, which were positioned to take water underground, were overwhelmed by eight inches of rain in five days. Leslie personally made an emergency trip to our house and installed a temporary downspout that directed the water into the street. He charged us $153 for this. He recommended we reposition the downspouts permanently. He did this work, also installed new roofs on two storage sheds, and installed a new chimney cap and hood ($1,180). -- 2010 – Applied aluminum fibered coating to flat roof surface (regular maintenance for a flat roof) ($815). -- 2010 – Removed snow from roof ($630). I phoned Leslie before the anticipated two foot snowfall; he offered to put me on his call-first list for snow removal. He called as promised. And his crew visits twice a year to clean the roof and gutters. Engelking is definitely nominated for a PAGE OF HAPPINESS.
Description of Work: Engelking cleaned debris and leaves from our gutters and flat roof in December, but Mr. Engelking's firm has performed many jobs for us over the past nine years, including a full roof replacement in 2004, as described in the following section.

The price is high even given that stopper is $50 (their words). Two brothers showed up for this obviously one man job. One brother spent 1 hr to find an easy-out tool to extract the "stopper", while the other just sat around and waited. The whole job would take only 20 min. if they had the right tools.
Description of Work: I have a leaking shower faucet due to aging faucet. Engelking was recommended by condo engineer. They replaced internal stopper (my invented word) in the faucet.

When I first called, it took a few phone calls to actually schedule the appointment because apparently only one person does the scheduling and I had to keep leaving messages or calling back early in the morning. Once I was able to speak with someone, the appointment happened a day or two later. The plumber arrived with his teenage son, and got to work replacing the pipes and the toilet part. It took about two hours because apparently the original pipes were installed poorly. Everything seemed to be fine, until a few weeks later when the kitchen pipe started leaking again. I called Engelking again several times and finally had Mr. Engelking himself come in to tighten it up. Thankfully, they did not charge me for the second visit, and everything has been fine since then.
Description of Work: I had two pipes leaking/dripping; one under the kitchen sink, and one under the bathroom sink. Also, the flapper in my toilet was no longer working. The plumber replaced the two pipes and the part in the toilet.
