Very well. I had written the date incorrectly on my calendar. When I called to find out where they were, Kramer and Sons offered to come to my house anyway. They came in less than an hour and addressed the problem quickly. Nick did a professional job in about an hour.

The plumbers showed up on time and were very nice and professional. They detected the problem right away and gave me an estimate of how much it was going to cost. I had a pinhole leak in one of my bathrooms. Once I approved the job, they got to work. The whole thing took less than two hours. The guys were friendly and informative. I really liked the service the company provided. Since I don't know much about plumbing, I don't know if the price was too high. Regardless, I would use them again.

Bad experience with another plumber (will be turning a negative report on that firm). Great experience with Kramer and Sons beginning with my initial phone call. The call-taker was also the scheduler, and met my need for rapid service. We scheduled for the following day. On the day of the appointment, I received a call that the plumber was ahead of schedule and asked if I could accomodate an earlier appointment. I was pleased with that. They sent their office manager, who is an experienced plumber, because one of their plumbers was ill. He listened to our woes, saw how the sink backed up, and gave me a firm estimate, showing me a catalog of tasks with associated tasks. He told me what it would cost up front, including my Angie's List discount. He also told me that there might be a charge, if he had to replace my trap. He got to work. He protected the work area with floor covering first and also wore in-house shoe covering. He completed the work and tested everything several times. He demonstrated the working sink and drain and disposal unit. The drip under the sink was also stopped. He did not have to replace the trap. The work area was left spotless. We are really pleased.

They were great. They arrived on time and were very clear and straight forward on what needed to be done.

Overall, this was a very positive contractor experience. He was polite, very experienced, did an excellent job and cleaned up after himself. The new faucet looks beautiful and works exactly as it should with obviously quality materials used. My only problem/after-thought is that he charged me a service fee that I thought was included in the quote over the phone. He also suggested that I add the two valves on each side for completeness which I wanted (to avoid any other disasters) but the fee seemed excessive and non-negociable. Otherwise great work and I am glad that the work is complete by a person who really knows their trade very well.

Julio Romero arrived on time with smile and a snappy salute (I liked that, as an old Navy guy!). He explained the difficulty of clearing a corrugated plastic pipe of roots and the very low probability of success if he tried it. He was very up front with the cost and low chances of success, so I decided to forego the service. I had another pipe that was slow to drain rainwater, but he determined that it was also corrugated and he would have similar problems as in the first situation. He gave me some alternatives that I could try before going to major surgery (pipe replacement). Julio was very helpful - he did not try to push service on to me, which was much appreciated. For my next plumbing problem, I will not just call Kramer... I will request Julio! He was very professional, very upbeat. He should teach a class on how to do service calls!

Nice gentleman came out and put booties on when entering the house. I showed him the bathroom and told him i needed a new flap in the toilet and the sink in same bathroom needed to be snaked. The price for the installation of a new flapper $ 190.95 and the price he gave me to snake the drain in the bathroom sink was $291.93. I told him no way was I going to pay these prices and sent him away. I will NOT recommend them to anyone!

The plumber that came out was professional, polite, courteous and very knowlegable. He was happy to explain and discuss options. The quality of the work was great, no problems there. I'd give Kramer and Sons a perfect score but the price, as expected, was outrageous. Plumming is not hard work if your moderately handy - the only issues are getting the right size parts and a couple of tools. If you have the parts the tools and the time - its WELL worth doing it on your own. If you don't, like most of us, and you have the money, these guys are good. At $1000 for less than half a days work - I'll be buying parts AND tools next time AND taking time off work.

Response was very good, and the tech was very professional. One nice thing he did was show me the price list before he started. They have another division that does the underground work; they trenched the yard and laid a 1" copper line from the meter to the house (about 50 feet). They also brought the indoor valving up to code. They arranged for the inspections, seeded and put straw over the area they excavated. Great work! As painless as possible.

It went well. Arrived promptly; diagnosed the problem; replaced parts and valve shut-off that had been cheaply installed when the home built. Excellent knowledge of the toilet, brand, etc. Very helpful and professional.

Job was done properly and in a timely manner. No complaints.

Excellent customer service. The kitchen was just as clean as before, as was the bathroom. Every charge was explained in detail. Only one small complaint - called Thursday for garbadge disposal and could not get apppointment until Monday, but otherwise great service. Will definitely use again.

Representative showed up on time and was very professional and courteous. I decided not to go forward with the work but am confident the work would have been done very well. I especially liked that he had my previous history with the company on hand and knew who had done the work.

Not only was the disposal unjammed and working again in minutes, but the plumber showed us exactly how he'd fixed the problem so we wouldn't be in that situation again. He advised us that though our disposal is fine now it's nearing the end of its expected life, and left us 2 different replacement estimates. Since he was clearly knowledgeable and helpful, we also had him look at a sometimes-leaky faucet, and picked his brain about solar and tankless hot water heaters. He gave us easy to understand advice and promised his boss would follow up with us on a more detailed estimate.

The valve was replaced; the leak resolved. The price was high. This was a rental property where time was of the essence. I was not present but have experience with plumbing so feel qualified to comment on price.

They were friendly, punctual, and to be fair, explained prices up front. In subsequent research, however, I think the price was very high for the faucet installation, but less so for the pipe replacement. I would consider them for basic plumbing, but there's a large "you're in a hurry/not skilled with simple plumbing" tax. Aside from that, the plumber was friendly, everything was cleaned up, they arrived as promised, and everything was efficient.

The representative was very friendly and courteous. I especially liked the fact that he covered his shoes before walking through my house. He was very knowledgeable about the repairs I needed and I liked the fact that the prices were pre-printed which gave me assurance that he wasn?t making them up and I wasn?t being taken advantage of. However I did find the prices were very much on the high end. There was a cost for the estimate, which I can understand, however that cost of the estimate would not apply to the job if I decided to go forward with the work. I was told he needed to lookup the information on fixing the bath tub faucet and I should here back from them within a couple of day. I never heard back from them which ultimately hurt their credibility after all I had paid for the estimate.

They said they were temporarily shortstaffed. It really hurts a business when responsiveness declines. I looked for other companies who could work with my available timeframes.

A very pleasant woman answered and turned me over to Mr. Kramer to discuss the technical aspects of my problem and to verify whether having them come out was the correct course of action. After I described the problem and all of the actions that I had taken, Mr. Kramer provided me with the name and phone number of someone at Fairfax County Government who handled my kind of problem. I called Fairfax County and Mr. Kramer was spot-on! Fairfax County came to the same conclusion as Mr. Kramer and will be out to my house today to flush my sewer lines. I was so pleased with Mr. Kramer's response (honest, helpful and professional), that I wanted to give him any other plumbing business that I had. Currently the only other thing that I had on my plate was the recaulking of my tub. He would have been more than happy to come and do the job, but he thought that it would be more cost-effective for me to get a handyman. He provided me with a name and number. I have never had such a positive experience with a contractor (working with at least 7 contractors a year for over 30+ years). Mr. Kramer and his receptionist are pleasant, professional, courteous, knowledgeable and honest. I've never entered a comment in Angie's list before, but I've actually found a contractor who deserves recognition. Thank you Kramer & Sons!

The repair person (Nick) was on time and very neat. He explained in detail exactly what needed to be repaired or replaced and why. He also took the time to go over some of our other systems and point out shut off valves, and gave me tips on keeping our systems clean and running well. It was more expensive than other plumbers I have used, but the customer service and personal touch was worth every penny.

I called their 24hr line for emergencies. I was prompted to leave a voicemail and someone would call me back. In my message I stated it was an emergency and that I needed someone to unclog my roof drain. No one ever called back or even bothered to follow-up a few days later. I was very disappointed by Angie's List having them as a top provider with great accolades and in the end they didn't deliver.

I was very impressed by this plumber. Seth arrived when he said he would and was very courteous. He wore shoe slippers while in the house and cleaned up very well. He was very thorough and his work appears to be top-notch. I highly recommend Kramer & Sons, particularly Seth, and would use them again.
