The master bathroom was equipped with a shower system which was leaking and after consulting with Julio from Kramer and Sons we agreed to remove the system and replace it with a shower head. work was superbly completed and Julio even found issues I wasn't aware of and fixed them at no additional charge. guest bathroom tub/shower wasn't drawing water correctly and this required the faucet to be replaced and the water tap needed to be tightened. Both showers work like they were designed to do and this is wonderful. Basement toilet needed to have the tank replaced and this was done at the same time correcting an issue with it running. Great work!

Technitian called ahead as he was supposed to, arrived on time, and completed this work quickly. He was very pleasant and didn't seem to mind our constantly barking dog. he gave me an estimate for repairing a clogged drain, but then before he actually went ahead with the repair, he first tried to recreate the problem we were having and couldn't (we had poured some Draino down there and i guess over a few days it cleared up the problem). so he didn't end up having to repair our clogged drain, which was a treat. He also fixed two broken faucet handles at no additional charge.

They looked at a couple of shut off valves that I thought looked a little bad. They taught me how to shut off the main water valve. They did a plumbing tour of the house and performed all the services that I needed. They were very pleasant and extremely helpful. They had all the parts that they needed on the truck. Everything was taken care of during that initial visit. It was all done. They don't charge by the hour; they charge by the job. No matter how long it would take them, we would know upfront exactly how much our problem would cost. They are fantastic.

I am going through a complete remodel in a 30 year old condo. I made the mistake of thinking it would be easy to replace the bathtub in my second bathroom. The roughed-in side of the tub is against a concrete wall which made it very difficult to replace. Kramer and Sons came in and were able to get the tub installed in a timely manner. They were very friendly and were concerned about leaving now mess behind. When they were finished with the job they took the remaining box to the trash for me, something I did not expect. One thing I like about Kramer and Sons is that they will give an estimate of the work and only charge $49 to do this. I had a previous plumber come out and was charged $200 and he did nothing. His rate was $100 every half hour. He was there 35 minutes and probably 20 of those minutes were him wasting time.

We called Kramer to come out and try and snake a pipe that connected an exterior drain to the sump pump. The gentleman that answer the phone spoke with me briefly about my problem, and based on our discussion advised me to go another route (trying a waterproofing company). He was extremely knowledgeable and asked all the right questions without trying to push a call on us, that would have resulted in a charge, but no work being done. Because they could not handle the problem we needed addressed, we did not go with them, but I still think their ethics, and professionalism speaks worlds of their character. If we ever need plumbing services in the future, Kramer will be our first call.

We had several companies come bid this job and due to the location of the main drain pipe (12 feet down) some companies did not have the equipment to dig that deep. I must stress the urgency of the work that needed to be done, we could not flush toilets or run water, very debilitating to say the least. Kramer and sons bid was the lowest bid out of the 3 plumbers we spoke with, but not so low as to think they would do a bad job. We chose them because they were quick to respond, they gave us a fair estimate of the work, assured us that it would be done with in 3 days (was actually completed in 2), walked us through the whole process from excavation, repair and replacement of our yard, (flowers, bushes, planting grass seed). Out of all that we interviewed my husband felt most comfortable working with their lead guy Andy. Additionally, the job could have gone from repair to replacement, meaning that they would have to replace the entire pipe (too the street) and possibly jack hammer some of the cement floor in the basement to remove the old pipe. They quoted us for repair, replacement and removal and replacement of our cement floor all to be done in stages if need be. Upon excavation they determined that it would only be a repair but the quotes prepared us for the worst case scenario (replacement). One last thing, a few days later we found a pinhole leak in a copper pipe (completely unrelated to the sewage pipe) and we had Kramer come out to fix the leak. They also noticed a second pinhole forming and reconfigured the pipe (for lack of better words) to make the connection more direct with our water heater AND it fixed both pinhole leaks. I think it also fixed a rattling pipe issue we had because we haven't heard it since. They also advised us on what to do if we need to replace our hot water heater and gave us some safety tips. The cost for that was around 620. They came out within 24 hours of my call.

I do not appreciate taking time off for nothing, and their lack of follow up and professionalism has completely warded me off from ever using them, since these simple things are an indicator of how they would respond to an emergency and uphold their quality.

I noticed water around the base of the water heater on Saturday and watched it closely through the weekend - it didn't go away but didn't get much worse. I called Kramer and Sons on Monday and asked if they could come out on Tuesday to check it out, since I could be home on Tuesday. They were very pleasant and scheduled me between 9 and noon Tuesday. He showed up promptly at 9, checked it out and said I needed a new one - which didn't surprise me since it was about 9 years old (my last water heater went without warning and flooded my basement, so I wasn't inclined to play games with it). He completed the work by 11:30. He was very friendly and efficient, and made sure all was cleaned up before he left. Everything seems to be working fine now. I didn't do any price comparison, so I can't vouch for the cost compared to other plumbers, but it seemed in the ballpark of what I expected. I've used them in the past, and have always been satisfied with their service.

I called Kramer and Sons Plumbing after getting two other quotes for the job. They came out and ran the camera on the sewer to check the problem, they told us the job needed was simple and affordable. (Not the same response we got from the other two companies who wanted to charge us between 3,000 - 5,000 for the same job) Previously I called Able Plumbing and they charged us $430 just to run the camera n give us an estimate. Kramer did this for free. The job was to cut, remove, dispose of approx 4-5 feet of sewer lateral from the front wall (outside). Installed new section with 4 inch 40 pressure rated PVC piping. The job was completed in a few hours. They left the job site clean. I would use this company again, the staff was very professional and friendly.

They were pretty good. I don’t know how much we paid them. They were professional. They knew what they were doing. They explained everything and so I understood what they were doing. We will use their services again in the future.

Very courteous on the phone, and promised to come within a couple of days. Arrived as promised, very polite and professional. I thought what I had done was expensive, but I've not had any plumbing work done in a long time - so I might not be in tune with the times.

The gentleman that cam in for the dispatch call ended up coming back that same day to do the job for me. Very punctual and proffessional. The job was very clean - he laid down tarp, and wore bootties to cover his shoes when stepping off the tarp and/or coming in/out the house. I would highly recommend.

I called Kramer and Sons because my bath spout was broken and I needed to take it off. It was a twist off, but I couldn't get it to twist off. They told me they weren't sure how much it would cost, but they did tell me how to do it my self. I tried a strap wrench and everything else. Kramer and Sons told me just to get a locking plier to wrench and stick it in the spout and turn it counter-clockwise as hard as I could. It worked and it was FREE advice. Very nice of them.

They did well. The biggest things are that they were easy to schedule and easy to work with. They explain their charges up front but they were probably a little more expensive than other people.

The guys not only replaced the valves but also gave great advice on several plumbing issues.

I realize that they made the service window, but I had been required to juggle my schedule and take more time off than necessary because they wanted 10-2. They arrived just at 2. This meant that the repair was really from 2:00 to 2:35 The repair was extraordinarily simple and required absolutely minimum labor and two very inexpensive parts. Yet the service cost $247.00 which was ridiculous.

i would not use this company again. i do not wish to have anything to do with them.

In all ways Kramer & Sons is the most professional and responsive plumber we have ever used. When we called to make an appointment, they explained in detail the process, answered all of our questions, and scheduled the work at OUR earliest convenience. Technician/plumber, Julio Romero, demonstrated superior skills and his 20+ years of experience working for Kramer & Sons. Julio worked quickly and had all the equipment he needed on his truck. He had no difficulties fixing the problems he encountered, e.g. the broken flange and shut-off valve. Being senior citizens we thought the total cost was high, but perhaps that it what you must pay for quality work and outstanding efficiency.

They were very professional and very good. I only had a problem with the price of the next project I had to do.

They did one thing that other plumbers in the past said it wasn?t worth for them to fix it until the situation got worse. It wasn?t very tough job and they did it for me. I would have to give them high grade overall.

My husband was at home for the appointment (remember he was a little out of balance because of my "talent"), and the plumber explained that if they had to snake the drain the cost would be several hundred $$ (husband flipped, called me) -- he calmed down because, the plumber had excellent customer service skills when dealing with crazy men and did not have to snake the drain. I give him an A++ for being honest and not snaking the drain (we wouldn't have known the difference). Besides the people skills, my husband he did a great job. Yea! I would call them again simply out of guilt that Julio had to deal with DH, but in truth, everything about the visit was excellent. Thanks to all the Angie's List members that recommended them.

Julio showed up on time, greeted us with a big smile, was personable and professional.

They charge per the job so once they found that it was going to be a full replacement, he pretty much opened the binder and gave me the two options they had and the costs. Instead of charging by the hour I knew up front what I was going to be charged and there wouldn't be any extra charges after that. It was really easy. What was really nice was the plumber didn't realize a part from our old disposal wouldn't work with the new disposal, which should have cost another $130, but he didn't charge me for it. He said that he should have looked before he put the quote together and because he didn't he said that it was his fault and not mine. He was fantastic. They have multiple plumbers and his name was Julio. I would definitely ask for him again. We are going to use them for some bathroom work.
