The plumber did what he had to do to access the leak and stop it. He did his job well and left his workspace clean.

Got 3 bids from highly rated companies and Kramer was the lowest. They were able to fit me into their schedule right away and did a great job.

We noticed our tub was slow in draining. Then it did not drain at all. We tried baking soda/vinegar followed by very hot water and it seemed to clear the problem. Later, we found a mess in the basement. The basement drain overflowed into the basement and it looked/smelled like sewage. We spent about 3 hours cleaning and bleaching the area. But meanwhile the basement drain remained "stopped up." Meanwhile, we called Kramer & Sons due to their location and ratings on Angie's List. Candice answer the phone and she was extremely helpful and gave us several options for emergency service or next morning service. We scheduled next morning service. Kyle arrived during the timeframe quoted by Candice. As soon as he came into the door he put on shoe covers which we appreciate. We showed him the tub issue as well as the basement drain issue. He assessed both issues, explained what he could do, and provided an estimate in writing. We concurred with the estimate and he immediately got to work. He was at our home for almost two hours and worked continuously without even accepting something to drink. Kyle was very knowledgeable, professional, and extremely neat in protecting the area around the bathroom as well as cleaning up after the job was completed. He ensured that everything drained appropriately by flushing - reflushing - and running the shower. We appreciate the excellent service that Kramer & Sons provided from our initial call to completion. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to family and neighbors.

Julio was our technician and he was one of the friendliest plumbers I've ever had. He was upfront about what needed to be done and the pricing. He showed me how to maintain my toilets myself and showed me what he did and why when he adjusted my water pressure. He has been doing this for over 20 years so I was confident about his abilities and explanations. Everything works great now and he gave me an Angie's List coupon and unclogged my drain for free. He was very thorough and did his work in a timely fashion. I was very pleased with my service. Julio is a diamond in the rough! What a great guy!

I was very pleased with the service. Got an immediate response to my inquiry. Nick was on time for the initial inspection and gave me a detailed, itemized list for all the issues I needed in my new home. He arrived on time once again on the date of service, resolved all the issues, left me a clearly written summary for everything he had fixed. Would call upon again in the future.

I called Kramer and Sons because one of my toilets was draining very slowly and kept getting clogged. They had appointments open that week and a tech came out on time (actually a few minutes early) Friday morning. He checked the toilet and quickly diagnosed a mineral buildup in the jets (the holes under the rim and at the bottom of the toilet). He scraped each one clean, dislodging quite a bit of scale, and now the toilet works great. He was there for about 15 minutes and the only charge was the $49 dispatch fee. I think that's very fair. We were very happy with all aspects of this service call, and will definitely call them again if we need other plumbing work done.

I called the office and was able to schedule an appointment that week at a day and time convenient for me. The receptionist I spoke to was professional and flexible. Nick arrived on time. The office had called to let me know he was on his way. He introduced himself and provided me with a card. He came in and listened to my description of the problem. He then tried to reproduce the leak under the sink. He had to try quite a few things, but soon discovered it was coming from the air gap. He took some pictures and showed them to me so I could see the specifics, and discussed his recommendation in detail. His estimate for the disposal he had with him and putting in a replacement for the air gap was $657, which was more than I was planning to spend. I asked for a few minutes to call and discuss it with my husband. He respectfully went out to his truck while we discussed it by phone. We decided not to do any of the work. Nick was very respectful of our decision. I only paid the $49 fee for him to come out. He provided in writing detailed estimates, good for a year, for the recommended disposal (which he had on hand to install), a lower level disposal he could order for about $500, and installation and air gap fix if we purchase our own (less than $200). I appreciated his flexibility, and that he offered the estimates for all of the levels. Note that we have still not decided if we will have the work done. Nick wore covers over his shoes while in the house. He was professional and courteous. He was also knowledgeable about the past work Kramer plumbers had preformed in our home, and who had performed the work, which is impressive and helpful. It proved to me he did his research in advance, and that the company takes the time to consider us as long term customers.

The technician was very informative and focused. I needed to have a diverter replaced in a shower unit. Typically a simple job but the old diverter came apart (before the service call) which made extraction and replacement difficult. The technician was able to remove the old diverter, clean up the connection and replace with a new one inside of 15 minutes. Given the tech's efficiency, I also asked to have the cold stem replaced. (Something I had been thinking about doing for awhile.) All was said and done inside of an hour and everything is working perfectly.

Although the technician who showed up did a good job I am very unhappy with the way he communicated the minute he showed up. It was rude and unprofessional. I have my doubts on whether I will use them in future.

Very well. They were polite and professional. The rag had been flushed by my cleaning people so I had no idea what they would find. They showed me the rag they retrieved, re-attached the toilet and it has been working fine ever since.

Our kitchen drain was backing up, and after attempting to fix it ourselves, we called in the professionals. I searched on Angie's List and found Kramer & Sons. As it was past closing time, I submitted an on-line service request, and I received an email at 5:45 in the morning letting me know that someone could come out that day. They called to confirm an earlier time was OK (they had originally told me 10 am), and Nick was here by 9:30. He presented a card from the company upon arrival so I knew he was legit (as much as one can know these things). He looked over the problem, talked to me about my options, talked to me about worst case scenario and best case, and wasn't pushy in the least. Despite the fact that I had only called for them to fix the clog, we also decided on a new disposal because what he was saying to me matched what our home inspector had told us years earlier about the appliance (thus I trusted the opinion Nick gave instead of thinking it was a ploy to get more money). The work took about 2 hours, he patiently showed me evidence of all the problems, answered my myriad questions, and told me what we could do to fix the problems ourselves the next time. He thought he might have to add a new waste trap because ours had been threaded, but he was able to fix it without the extra charge, which, were he dishonest, he woudn't have tried to do. Plumbing work is very expensive, and I honestly have no idea if what they charge is high. It seemed veryhigh to me. However, when I googled the price of the disposal that he sold me that he carried in his truck, the price was exactly the same as what I found on the internet, so I felt better that they weren't gouging me due to the convenience factor. I would call this company again for sure.

Our kitchen sink wasn't draining and was backing up into the dishwasher. I had attempted to clear it but my snake is only 15 feet long and I wasn't reaching the clog. The technician was very nice and willing to explain all he needed to do before and during the work. The previous owners must have liked using the garbage disposal because he had to remove the trap under the sink and run 28 feet of line to break up the clog. He recommended we not use the garbage disposal (I don't like them so no problem there) and guaranteed his work for 30 days.

I called about a sewage smell in my basement restroom. I figured the problem was due to a broken toilet wax ring. I scheduled the appointment with Kramer & Sons the week before. The plumber arrived on time. I got a call about 15-20 minutes before he showed up. He took a look at the problem, gave me an estimate to replace the wax ring on the toilet, and replaced the wax ring. He re-cauked around the toilet and everything works great. No mess was left after he was done. Very good experience.

We had problems with water draining slowly from the house and suspected there was a problem with the sewer pipe that ran from the house to the county sewer. Another company came and ran a camera, but couldn't make it to where the pipe connected to the main sewer due to roots clogging the line. I called and contracted with Kramer and Sons Plumbing after getting two other quotes for the job. They arrived on time and ran the camera all the way to the main sewer. They found a root near a huge tree in the front yard. We told them we were hoping to spare the tree. They excavated and replaced the sewer piping without disturbing the tree. They put the excavated soil on huge plastic drop cloths so as not to destroy the surrounding grass. Since there was minimal grade in the line, they suggested and we agreed to have the pipe power flushed to move the sediment that was still in the old pipe. They tamped down the soil as they filled the hole, which prevented a hump in the front yard and seeded it. This job took two days as originally bid and was more complex than anticipated. They were nice and remained professional throughout. They left the yard clean. I would highly recommend this company! The crew was knowledgeable, responsive, and friendly.

Overall was pleased. Still a bit twitchy about the price but the work looks great. I really appreciate a contractor who shows up on time as you can't buy more time.

They discovered that there was likely ground water intrusion into the crawl space and that there was a small leakage from the toilet. The range of possibilities was explained to me as well as all the options available. Instead of trying to scare me into expensive replacements, I had all the likely possibilities explained and what should be done for each. If something is more severe than expected, I'll know who to call but I have several things to try on my own first and I'm very pleased with them. Very friendly service and very educational as well.
